It is beautiful raid house right by the sea, but a little old house, something is not working, even the TV. Best is very convenient location, medina just a minute. Roof terrace is wonderful with great sea view! We saw the rainbow on the sea when we had breakfast!

Because of the parking is offsite , be wary of bogus guides on the way to the hotel who harass you along the way, they try to collect a commission off of you.

Worth a stay for the view from the terrace. Otherwise. Accomodation just simple.doesn t deserve all its stars!il could have been better if the way it has been built, painted...was in better condition.
As for the breakfast, very simple..

Despite being booked in for 3 nights I had to check out after 1 night. The entire place had a very strong odour of what is described as humid wood but actually smelt of vomit and a baby nappy! I spent most of my night sniffing a perfumes scarf to get through it. In addition, as their restaurant was in the courtyard with the rooms over looking it, it remained open and noisy till about 01.30. The windows and doors might as well be non existent as they didn’t provide any respite from the noise. Fortunately the staff at the reception were very understanding and did refund my money back and were apologetic however I would be very very cautious about booking in here unless you have a weak sense of smell and sleep deeply in any circumstances.

Very disappointed overall. No access of cars, I had to carry my two cases by foot for 1k from the public parking, and again when I left. The price was over rated for this room. No iron in the hotel, no help with luggage, brakefast was very poor, the food looked not fresh.

Start every day with breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean & looking into the ramparts. Staff were excellent & room spacious.

3 friends had 1 day stay at this hotel.
We was welcomed by a cute lady in glasses, I dont remember her name.
She was very service minded, and after check inn, she informed us of welcome tea on the terrace. The tea was delightful with a view that was breath taking!.
Room was good, and the location perfect, everything asked for was given.
Absolutely recommended !

Excellent customer service - despite we did so many wrong, including arriving on the worng date, they fixed everything and were super helpful. Only the breakfast could be better.

A beautiful hotel, ideally placed by the rampart walls and in the medina. The sunset was perfect from to roof of the hotel!

We stayed at five "5 star" hotels and riads throughout our stay, Hotel Palais de Ramparts did not deserve this lofty rating. The room was spectacular only for its view. I believe we stayed in only one of three rooms in the hotel with an ocean view, Once you got over the view, the "senior suite," the second largest "suite," was a smaller than average room that barely fit the queen bed, single bed, two chairs, and table. The closet, desk, and refrigerator were rendered unusable because they were blocked closed by the furniture.
The bathroom had a 6 foot long and deep bath tub, but the water pressure and temperature were too low to fill it up. The water pressure and temperature also varied, so my daughter missed her daily hot shower.
The center court was dark and dank with the only light coming from the opening 5 stories up. 2 of the 4 trees surrounding the fountain were dead. The fountain was empty and not turned on.
The Hamman was the bright spot. It was better than the one at the fancy spa in Marrakesh.

Beautiful Riad in old Medina. Very friendly staff and comfortable Classic Moroccan room. Wasn't dirty but floors and shower needed a scrub. Would stay here again. Breakfast good with great views of the ocean from the top terrace.

We arrived at the Hotel Palais des Remparts to a warm welcome from the reception staff which included complimentary tea on the terrace. This might not be particularly novel but the view from the terrace is mind-boggling so it was a very memorable introduction to the hotel.
The hotel is very centrally located for most of what Essaouira has to offer, but it's also part of the sea wall and stands proud of everything around it.
The room was large and airy with a mammoth bed and comprehensively outfitted en-suite, all finished in an updated Moroccan style.
The breakfast was simple tasty, varied and filling but Essaouira has so many other eating opportunities I didn't try the hotel's restaurant.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and suspect it would be even better i the summer.

Room was adequate but a tired looking. Furnishings were old and bathroom tub lighting was poor. Overall cleanliness was adequate and staff was ok but Riad is not 4 star quality.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at this hotel a lot. The location is great right beside the medina for all shopping and near the old port for restaurants serving fish. Fantastic restaurant right beside hotel with great food and live music including traditional gnawe music and dancer. Breakfast on the hotel terrace was very enjoyable with ocean view. Beautiful beach nearby with waves. A lovely Riad that is well maintained.

Room and bathrooms were large. Bathroom was a bit dark. There were only two electrical outlets in the main room and they were nowhere near the desk. Bathroom fixtures were a bit aged, but place was quite clean. Service was lackluster. I asked three times to have a bulb replaced in my room and it never got done. Breakfast up on the roof offers wonderful views but beware the seagulls!
