A gem of a place

The set up is ideal with self check in. Beautiful old building with lovely rooms. We stayed in the top floor and had nice views over the area. Great breakfast too.

Not really an issue of great concern but I would have liked some mint tea or fruit tea in the selection in the room.

Ideal location and met all our requirements for a long weekend.

Large bedroom with high ceiling and a king-size bed. Convenient parking. Lovely old building with lots of character.

Having to enter the building with a heavy suitcase via the basement and then having to carry it up two floors to the room.

we asked for lower floor room but we were given one on the top floor, with very steep stairs. Also windows floor to ceiling so had to have blinds down for privacy in bedroom and bathroom all the time. Also owner will not do fried eggs, you cannot have a English breakfast without a fried egg!

Great little Gem in a big busy town

the bed and the pillows were the most comfortable we have slept in for three weeks of travelling. Good location for a lovely walk through the park. lots if information in the hand book. breakfast was lovely

Good off road parking, check in was done via key box which was easy. Property was finished to a nice standard. Room had a homely feel and had new carpets. Very clean. Good value for money

All very minor. A clock chimed throughout the night not in the room but in the property. WiFi not the best/ phone signal was a little poor House was definitely one of the best around the area. Wouldn’t come back to kings Lynn but the property was nice.

We enjoyed our short stay.

Nice clean room with a comfortable bed. Excellent shower facilities. Excellent breakfast. Staff very accommodating.

A couple of minor issues, neither of which affected our stay. First, the bath was non-operational due to a "plumbing issue". Also, there was no central heating in the bedroom or the en-suite — however there was a blow heater which worked perfectly for heating the room.

We had a nice, spacious room. The breakfast was good. We were able to park as planned in front of the establishment.

It is still expensive in terms of hotels. The contact with the host was not very warm

I would happily stay here again. Lovely room and hassle free check-in.

The twin room on the top floor was spacious and very clean. Ample supply of tea and coffee. Bedding and towels were spotless. En-suite was also very clean. Really can't fault anything. Easy access with a gated keycode entry system. Simple instructions to follow. The owner was very friendly on our check out.

Couldn't fault anything really apart from I would have liked the option to have breakfast as we were going to a funeral early morning. I assume this option had been cancelled due to covid.

High standard comfort

The Old Rectory is a beautiful building and the quality if the accommodation is extremely high. Everything was to make life easier for the client and the room was so comfortable as well as being a beautiful room and ensure. Breakfast excellent too. Would visit again.

easy check-in, well run, excellent breakfast. For the price, there’s nice attention to detail and comforts. Good value. Attractive property and garden.

Musty smell in basement rooms. The railings leading down to entrance were loose and potentially unsafe for my elderly mother.
