About this cottage rental
Homely and comfortable, Nash Cottage is a wonderful holiday home located just below an Iron Age hill fort, with truly magnificent views over the glorious Marshwood Vale to the distant coast beyond. On a clear day, you can see the Isle of Portland, some 30 miles away, and it is no exaggeration to say that the mesmerising views will take your breath away. Located just 4 miles way from ever-popular Lyme Regis, this light and airy cottage offers generous accommodation for up to 8 guests, and it sits within a beautifully planted 2-acre garden with a feature summer house.
As you enter the cottage through a small porch, you arrive in the light-filled open-plan dining kitchen, complete with wood burning stove and glass doors that lead out to the garden terrace. Continuing on the ground floor, you walk through to a snug/library which is perfect for sitting quietly with a good book, or as a play area for children who will enjoy the toys provided. Step down to the sitting room, and you are greeted by a cosy room with comfortable sofas, a second wood burning stove, a writing area with desk and chair, and the all-important glass doors that showcase that stunning view. The ground floor hall continues to a shower room/cloakroom and the cottage staircase.
On the first floor you will find four bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite bathroom, a second king-size bedroom, a double cabin-bed room, and a small twin bedroom. For added guest flexibility when staying at Nash Cottage, there is a wonderful detached studio with a 4'6 double bed, wet room and cloakroom, sitting next to the main cottage, which can be booked separately at additional cost, for your party of 8 guests to spread out further.
With all of the delights of West Dorset, or East Devon within easy reach, a holiday or break at this unique cottage offers endless opportunities for relaxing and fun days out.
Additional Information:
One well-behaved dog welcome (additional charge).
Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and high chair available on request (please provide your own cot linen).
A private en-suite studio with bed, wet room and cloakroom suitable for 2 guests can be added for £75 per night (The 2 guests are still counted as part of the total capacity of 8 guests).
Please note, the stairs leading to the first floor are steep.
Please note, all children must be accompanied by an adult at the bottom of the garden, due to the 'deer leap' 6ft drop.
A charcoal barbecue is provided.
Off-road parking for three cars.
