Close to the university but a little too far to walk. Also, Avenue Q can be a little loud

Huge rooms plenty of space for a family. Could easily sleep six and the room has a full kitchen. Staff was super friendly and the breakfast was good.

Check in good, room very spacious, but $75.00 for a small female dog quite pricey. However, we had driven 12 hours and were exhausted!! Bedtime at 10:30! Our nightmare began when we were awakened not once, but 5 times or more from other guests bouncing a basketball after midnight and children and people running and doing God knows what above our room and in the hallways. Our sleep was interrupted so many times, my wife got up and tried to call the front desk, and finally she dialed zero, and asked for security to go and calm these noisy F's down! It was 1:30 in the morning!! It gradually quit about 2:00 AM!! BTW-your pillows are too big and wife wanted to cut the air out of them!! Also, kitchen sink leaks and an outlet by the window had no cover.
PS we also have been a GM and Head Houskeeper at a Marriott and Sheraton!!

Close to TTU - stayed there for a weekend football game. Cheap hotel with cheap rooms - you get what you pay for, so don't expect too much.

This hotel is not what I hoped for. It was shabby, with shady characters loitering and driving around the parking lot way too fast. There were people moving from one room to the other throughout the small complex, and people were stairing at me. The Coke machine was turned "off" and when I asked the to turn it on, the desk attendant told me that he had to wait for the manager that never came. There was a window in the shower that didn't lock and the water was NASTY. In the morning, I found a bug on my pillow when I woke up. Good thing it was dirt cheap, or I'd demand a refund. Good/bad point (depending on how you look at it) the room AND lobby were smoking friendly.

Bad, Bad, Bad, dirty, old, smelly, should be torn down, I believe that the local call girls must use this place alot.

It was actually cleaner than I expected. The people that lived in the motel were really friendly. Not a lavish motel but good for the price. NO BUGS!!! Decent price-close to the stadium-bed was a lil hard for my likeing

The motel was very close to Tech, the reason for the visit, and was great for the money.

Don't bother staying here unless you plan to sleep in your own sleeping bag on the floor. Beds are terrible and you can't sleep because of the "clientele" making noise in the parking lot until nearly sunrise. Savew the name so you don't mistakenly bood a room here.

this hotel is great for the price. i read the other reviews before and they were mixed but it really is an ok hotel. the sheets are clean. the bathroom is clean. the floor is clean except for a few stains. the tv works and is bigish. the only complaint i have is the neighborhood. since its so inexpensive there are a lot of people who stay there that hang outside their rooms and smoke and drink. there was an amublence at one point. you could hear other people yelling through the walls. but for that price i would for sure go back.

Horrible Hotel! Felt unsafe the moment we arrived in the parking lot. We stayed about 2 hours then handed in our keys and went to another hotel. Paid a premium too. Wouldn't send anyone here. Would have rather spend a night in Iraq.

Was up most of the night due to partying going on. Rooms not worth the savings. Do yourself a favor and find another motel.

I booked the room for Halloween weekend, for the Tech / Kansas game (10/31/09). At first glance, the picture on the website doesn't do it justice. I had searched other properties and most chains were in the $120 range, which is absured considering they're usually less than $50. This hotel is on the corner of a main street and a highway (ave q and loop 289), which was only 5-10 mins from the Tech campus. There is a new Walmart right behind the hotel, and like a previous reviewer said, its within walking distance. Granted the property is old, the rooms were recently renovated, large, and clean. We had a fridge in the room as well. No issues with anyone outside the rooms, we only saw out-of-towners arriving. In short, if you're not expecting the Hilton-Anatole, it's definately worth the price. I give it 4.5 stars for the $40 I paid. I'll stay again.

This place is actually very good for the price. Cheapest rate I could find in Lubbock, and was pretty clean, was a huge room, and comfortable bed. The microwave and refrigerator were an pleasant surprise too. Not a 5-star hotel by any means, but a good place to stay if you're on a budget. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The mattress was old and stained, felt like the carpet shouldn't be walked on in your barefeet. If we hadn't prepaid I would have never stayed there.

Would not stay here again if it was free. Nasty, moldy foul odors from stopped up leaky sink. Gap under the door two inches wide. I'd give it a 1/4th star.

I booked this motel and after looking at it refused to stay and paid to go to another location. It is not clean. Foot deep pot holes in parking lot. From the parking lot you can actually see the curtains falling off of the windows. Paint peeling off of outside. Don't believe the 1 1/2 star rating as put out by Expedia. We didn't expect a four star....but did expect clean. Can't tell you hotel service, comfort or overall satisfaction because we did not stay to find out.
