The hotel was very ‘tired’ looking. Our room had condensation on a large window that wouldn’t go, it looked awful! Broken window in the bathroom. The bed!!!! On wheels with spindly little legs, every turn was accompanied with squeaks and springs going. The room had a ‘smoky’ smell, clearly it had been smoked in. The paint in the room was patchy and NOTHING like the photos on line. How is this a 3 star hotel????? 2 at best and that’s being generous. Hideous loud talking neighbour. 10am chuck out time, usually 11 in most others these days.
£141 for one night in late September, one dog and a car park space. Absolute rip off, I don’t mind paying for nice hotels, this definitely was not that, it felt ‘dirty’ old and smelly. You’ve been warned (and you would think those with dogs would be given low floor rooms)???

This Brittania hotel is more suited for students as decor is all white and tired, furniture is old and during this period the hotel does not clean the room during guest stay. The room size was good and had attached bathroom and the shower was functional. Breakfast was reasonable and limited and very small choices for vegetarians

The stay was relaxing and we really enjoyed the break away from our busy household

The hotel needs a lot of paint work ie inside corridors going up the stairs and on the corridors going to the rooms . Can not get any internet connection anywhere in the building.

This is a budget hotel and youget what you pay for. Saying that, this place exceeded expectations. We had a biggish room with everything required bar a fridge.
The room was pretty warm but a good fan was provided.
We were woken by a 5am alarm caused by some idiot smoking.
The buffet breakfast lacked variety but was ok.
All the staff we lovely and the only unpleasantness was with a few guests who should maybe pay a little more. Rudeness to overseas staff isn't acceptable in my book and Brittania might consider racists.

The parking is nightmare! Why should you have to pay? We stayed for 4 days and did not see anyone cleaning. The facilities is terrible. Would not return. The bed is very uncomfortable.

Cheap and cheerful

The flooring in our bathroom was not pleasant making the rooms smell of urine. It was a bit too warm even with windows open . Bed mattress quite hard. The entrance carpet along with the stairwell carpet lets the hotel down however cleanliness was good in most areas. Paid £18 to park at BIC

This was my second short-stay at the Britannia in Bournemouth. I would say it is a brilliant hotel for the price, with friendly staff, clean rooms and everything you need. I was there during the hottest few days of the year, and the rooms were a little hot even at night, but fans are provided in the rooms, which made a big difference.
Well recommended for short stays and a great location for the beach and public transport.

The well known saying, "you get what you pay for" is certainly true. That said, I didn't pay much and found this hotel to be great value for money.
The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable. Can't really go wrong for short stays close to Bournemouth Beach.

For the price, this was perfect. A basic hotel, literally a 2 mins walk from beach on one side and the local town centre the other way. Staff were super friendly and accommodating! Cleanliness was normal. I only didn’t like the bathroom much, but it was useable! Would deffo recommend to anyone wanting a low cost stay with walking distance to everywhere. Breakfast was fine as well! Would go back again

Hotel is very run down, the lifts are tiny. Parking is a big problem not enough parking spaces for the size of the hotel. The rooms were very hot had the windows open all day however had to close them on an evening due to the noise of guests returning late at night/early morning. The plus is the staff are very hardworking & polite.

Hotel was easy to find close to the beach, but ut could do with a face lift ,through lockdown i would have thought they would have done maintenance work on the hotel, ie no light bulb in the bed side light bathroom fan not working. Not enough 13amp plug scockets, decotating shabby light in lift not working, no sauces for the breakfast can go on.

The accommodation was just disgusting with dirty views of the roof from the window showing ventilation systems and dirty chair and carpet full of stains. Unfortunately there’s no facility here to upload the pictures taken. Never again!!!

This hotel is outdated and the room (double bed) was horrible. Stains on the carpet, the view from the window shows dirty ventilation systems. No telephone to reception. The pictures online are far beyond what you get. Never again 😡😡😡
