Overall the accommodation was good and a nice location to the slopes. Most of the staff were friendly but some I found were a little rude and felt we were inconvenient for them the lift took ages so we always took the stairs. Bar staff were very friendly. I would most probably stay there again in the future.

Super location - worn down hotel, terrible service - like really terrible. Processes and rules like 80’ties Eastern Europe. Strange rules, papers and copies in binders and it peaked with huge depoait for getting a kettle in the room. Suoer rude reception.

It is very close to the ski lifts - really a ski in and sky out place. Very comfortable if dated!!

This hotel is in an excellent location right next to the ski area with the lifts and gondola on site. We found the hotel very warm and turned off the radiators in the room.
The rooms are basic but functional. We found the hotel
Extremely noisy. We could hear the guests in the next room talking and laughing like they were in the same room as us, when they were just talking normally. Children roam everywhere, running up and down the corridors, playing football in the lift lobbies, and just being generally disruptive without any parental control or intervention from hotel staff.
We were half board and there was a decent selection at breakfast and dinner. We always found something nice to eat however It gets extremely busy in the restaurant at times.
This is our second time staying at this hotel. We had a similar experience on the first occasion and decided to give it another ago. However, due to the noise and lack to sleep, we wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel is in an excellent location right next to the ski area with the lifts and gondola on site. We found the hotel very warm and turned off the radiators in the room.

The hotel is slightly outdated. It could do with a bit of a revamp. Lack of a kettle in the room is a dearth for British folk! The staff are all marvellous. The hotel is outstandingly clean.

If you are looking to have an amazing Italian experience, then this is it! The hotel was a perfect location for beauty, skiing and family activities. The rooms and balconies were large and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to have our rooms right next to each other. The 3 person room had 2 bathrooms! The decor is an Italian alps fashion and seasoned, but was clean and perfect for our family. The half board with breakfast and dinner was delicious and convenient. We were among the very few that spoke English as a first language, but the staff was friendly and we had a blast! There were pubs, shops and markets, the gondola, ski shops, ER, whatever we needed, was right there. And, if you wanted to stroll over the little bridge to town, it was available. Next time we'll have to book longer to take advantage of a village visit. Thank you, Hotel Planibel for making our family's first visit to Italy so spectacular with all that you offer. Fabulous!

A skiing trip for found the hotel was very accomodation got , with clean comfortable rooms, excellent food and close proximity to all the ski amenities. Just one hiccup with one room a double rather than a twin and two of the lads had to cuddle up and the pillows could have been betterWould thoroughly recommend.

If you are going to La Thuile for skiing, Hotel Planibel has the best location very near the ski lifts. We had a room facing the slopes. Great view. Some parts of the hotel are not that updated, doors are not sound proof and the rooms could be a bit bigger. But we enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and had large firm beds and a nice bathroom. The hotel offered good facilities for skiing equipment. They have a great restaurant for half-board guests. Especially dinner buffet is recommendable. They serve a lot of different Italian delicious courses, menu was changed from day to day. Pizzas at the a la carte restaurant were also good. Staff was friendly and service minded. Our arrival was a bit delayed and they offered to serve us a light dinner even though the restaurant was closed. Just outside the hotel you will find a supermarket, two skiing equipment shops, two ski rental shops, lift pass office and some bars and cafés. All you need for a great ski holiday. We will stay at Hotel Planibel again if we come back to La Thuile.

The car park is like a rabbit warren! With no signage in English of where to park and where the entrance/exits are to the accommodation.
When we eventually found the hotel from the car park, check in was efficient.
The room was warm and clean, if a little dated. The beds were firm.
The breakfast was good - although on one morning we had to queue for ten minutes for coffee. Some tables are allocated to certain guests, but this was not made clear leading to a couple of embarrassing confrontations.
A special thank you to Stella on reception who was very helpful in making some phone calls on our behalf when the diesel froze in our rental car.
The hotel is excellently place for access to the ski lifts in La Thuile.
We would stay again.

That said the rooms were comfortable enough and if all you plan to do is ski the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect right at the bottom of the ski slope. For the condition of the hotel, thought the room rate was a little pricey but I guess you pay for location. The hotel staff however were extremely helpful.
Watch out for the parking .. it was advertised as free parking/included in room rate. But when we arrived actually turned out to be €9 per day.

There is a disco at this hotel on the 2nd floor, if your room is over this you will not sleep until it closes. Our room was on 4th floor (room 430) and we could hear the music very clearly. Our friends had a room on the 3rd floor over the restaurant (not the one you have breakfast in) and they couldn't hear the music. throughout the night there were people making noise in the corridors and party's in other rooms until about 5am on both 3rd and 4th floors. Don't expect to request a particular room as we had emailed the hotel in advance to change the size of one of the rooms but they did not respond to the email.

Ironically the information in the room asks guests to respect the rest periods in the afternoon and night time, they just don't do anything to reinforce this.

Perfect location and very clean room with the food being average to acceptable.
On the negative side, barmen attempted 3 times in 2 days to sell an "equivalent" wine at more than double the cost of original fine wine (Brunello Di Montalcino) which ran out after one bottle!
