Fantastic place nestled in the heart of the town centre with a lovely owner.

The owner, Xenia, is so kind. She’s always there to answer questions & help us. On our departure day, we had to catch an early morning flight, so Xenia scheduled a taxi for us. George, the taxi driver, is so kind & professional. He’s one of the best driver that we ever had. Don’t hesitate to use George’s service if you’re in Chania & need a ride to the airport.
Please note that because the hotel is in the old town area, the street noise can get a bit loud at night. However I think you will have this problem with any hotels in this area

Lovely hotel/rooms, good price, central and a great welcome from the owner on arrival.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay in this warm and friendly hotel. It’s truly well located, in the heart of Chania. From the comfort of the bed to the cleanliness of the room, everything was spot on. The hotel manager was so kind and took really good care of us (thank you so much for all the free water bottles, it may sound like nothing but it’s definitely a big bonus). Overall we highly recommend this place!

Good location and cheap room, but it comes to a very high price:
1. Room was too noisy (busy road and the common hallway of the hotel) making it impossible to sleep. There is no noise isolation as doors and windows are too old (like 50+years old)
2. Room was too small and too old. We rented a 20m2 family room for 2 people and the one we got was barely 15m2 including the balcony. The toilet was so small we couldn’t bend to reach our feet while having a shower! Everything in the room was 50+ years old!
3. Attempted charging of our credit card before checkin + without being informed! We booked choosing the option to pay at the hotel and buy a valid credit card number to secure booking. The day of our arrival and before our arrival the hotel contacted us complaining that they tried to charge us the whole amount at the given credit card but this didn’t work, and they asked whether they should cancel our booking for this reason! We explained that it is not ok to try to charge us before arrival and without poor notice. At the end they only agree to wait for charging us at check in. Even the thought that they could just cancel our booking because they could charge us and without us being aware of it is very scary!
4. During our stay we got covid19. We informed the cleaning personnel to not enter the room and her reaction was as if it was expected. No reaction from the hotel until our check out.
We’ve been visiting Chania for many years.
This was the worst stay by far

Perfect little hotel room in the heart of everything, private balcony, small shower but defenetly an amazing place, especially for the price! Comfy bed and super soft comforter and sheets. The owner was really sweet!

Very clean and super central room. Our stay was made worse by some incredibly loud guests but that's not the hotel's problem (though as far as we could tell, no one told them to be quiet even at 3am).
Still, for the price of the room and the location, you'd be very hard pressed to find anywhere better.

Very good location in the old Venetian area of Chania. Was warmly greeted upon entering hotel. Nice balcony with two chairs and table. Located in an older, historic building. Due to the nature of the building, others could be heard frequently. Nice stay for a solo traveler looking for a budget option for a night or two.

When we reached at hotel the lady at the property (Owner) took us to her another apartment as it was more specious and new which was just 4 min away from Diporto called Polyxeny’s Suits. The rooms was very beautiful and specious with coffee, fridge and even Iron facilities. Apartment is located 2 min from Old chania Market and heart of the chania town. The lady also kept croissants for all of us as breakfast for morning and water bottles. Booked taxi for us. I am very pleased with the room.

Welcome was pleasant and location was great! The property manager sent in someone to tidy the room daily. The location is in the middle of the town.

Quaint boutique hotel in the middle of the city that is own and operated by the same family who are very polite and enjoy conversation. I normally always visit this hotel when visiting Chania.

Stayed here at DiPorto for 3 nights - great location in the heart of things, a mere 5 minute walk from the bus station and the lighthouse. Very nice accommodation - the fridge and kettle were a nice bonus. The owner and her son were very welcoming and friendly and provided lots of information to get about.
The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and great to have a small balcony to sit out on through french doors.
The only negatives were that the walls were very thin that you could hear conversations in the next room and in the early hours there was a lot of noise from outside in the the street where groups of people made their way back from night clubs. However, this was just a small issue for me as i didn't spend much time in the room.
I would recommend a stay here.

We booked for two nights, but changed hotels after one night because of noise from the street. The shops close on the street at 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. so that was fine, but the problem was people coming from the old Port (where the bars and restaurants stay open very late) were walking up the street talking very loudly. This happened until the wee hours of the morning. Since I had asked for a quiet room, but this was all they had available, we moved to a new hotel at the very end of the Port, with soundproof rooms and doors, the Porto Veneziano Hotel, which was very nice. The room itself was odd, with furniture a little too big for the space. The toilet made a loud, prolonged noise when you flushed it.

Lovely little hotel with all the required necessities. Had everything needed. If one wants to visit the area and stay in hotels the whole time while ignoring the loveliness of the city, then don't stay here.
In other words, stay in this hotel if you wish to venture out in the city and the island as a whole. Parking can be located if you actually want to find it.
