About this lodge
Hi all, my is Maria, i am a single mum to 2 beautiful daughters, our dog Roxy and 7 cats. We all love animals, so your dogs (up to 2, I’m afraid. Park rules, not mine) are very welcome. We love going on holiday in the UK and also cruising.
I am the owner of a wheelchair friendly caravan; I have Cerebral Palsy and I use a wheelchair 99% of the time. So, I understand finding the right accommodation can be difficult. That why I would like to give the chance to others with disabilities to have a holiday without the stress of searching for suitable accommodation.
My caravan is 6 berth that’s 12 ft wide and 36 ft long. It has wider doors throughout, wider hallway, a big master bedroom so a wheelchair can get right up to the bed, grab rails all around the toilet and shower. The shower is roll in with a drop-down seat to transfer on to and the shower doors open neither way. The kitchen has a lowered sink with some Worktop space. The kitchen and lounge are massive, bigger than they look on the pictures. Windows are double glazed throughout, with central heating and gas fire.
Pillows and duvet are supplied, 2 king and 2 single sizes. All you will need to bring is pillowcases, duvet covers and sheets 2 singles and 2 doubles. I am in the process of arranging bed covers and sheets already for you, this will come at an extra charge of £10
In the kitchen there is a fridge freezer, microwave, gas over. Plates (most plates are non-breakable) I drop things a lot, cups, glasses, frying pan, source pan, cutlery (plastic for children), kettle, toaster, air fryer, bin, mop and bucker, Sweeping brush and dustpan and fire safety equipment. The caravan is fitted with both smoke and carbon dioxide alarms (newly fitted 15th June 2024).
The living room has a 32” smart TV with apps like Netflix, Disney+, ITV X, I Player. Still thinking about getting Wi-Fi, but people are welcome to hotspot and sign in to the own accounts, please sign out before you leave.
Under the middle sofa there is a pull-out bed with pillows and duvet underneath the side sofa.
In a cupboard underneath the TV there are a few books for all ages and hopefully some games to come.
The bathroom has toilet brush, plunger, and bin.
Could you try and leave the caravan as you found it, please. All rubbish taken out to the bins provided by the park. Sweep and hoover. I’d be most grateful, thank you. I also would appreciate if you didn’t smoke inside the caravan, outside is fine. Please keep outside tidy to thank you.
On the Coastfields Holiday Village site you’ll find a swimming pool, arcade, bar with different entertainment daily, Chinese take-away and Spar shop. Within a 5 minutes' walk round the corner to the left you will find O'Grady's pub with serves food till 8pm and has karaoke Sunday till Thursday evening from 8pm for the whole family. Also, you’ll find chip shops, different shops that are good value for money and an arcade called Bells.
Also, within a 15-minute walk to the right you can find Ingoldmells main attractions Fantasy Island theme park and Europe’s biggest market which again is good value for money.
The beach is a 5-minute walk away too.
You can also jump on a bus and head off to Skegness or Chaple St Leonard’s for the day. Buses run every 10 minutes in the day and every 20 minutes in the evening, every day.
Up on arrival date I will contact you with the key safe code and would appreciate if you keep the keys on you for the duration of your stay and return the keys to the box on departure and for the numbers to be mix up after both times of opening it. Thank you.
