Villa Paloma is an artfully-designed oasis blending the best of coastal Mediterranean living with the mystical, handcrafted Mexican aesthetic of Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende, Todos Santos, and Tulum. The home rests peacefully in the boulders on more than 4 private hilltop acres on the edge of a protected wilderness zone with views of Joshua Tree National Park. What began as a modest homestead cabin built in 1952, Villa Paloma was thoughtfully renovated and completely modernized by the internationally renowned husband and wife duo of Wolfgang and Connie Pichler in 2021. This modern hacienda is the dream of musician Josh Charles and his award-winning travel blogger wife, Krystal, who curated this one-of-a-kind home based on their most memorable travel experiences with a sharp focus on providing their guests the ultimate desert escape.
Tranquil, serene, and in complete harmony with the Mojave Desert, Villa Paloma’s light-filled spaces, minimal design, earthy hues, and carefully chosen art pieces welcome guests with an immediate sense of calm, natural beauty, and belonging. The home is great for small groups who want to be together and have enough private space to themselves.
The beautifully manicured property is blessed with multiple places to spot wildlife and take in views from multiple vantage points, either with friends or solo. The shaded dining patio, surrounded by 100-year-old Joshua trees, juniper trees, agaves, ocotillos and national park views, is perfect for an evening barbecue. The sunset perch comes with a pair of swivel loungers, ideal for soaking up the 360-degree valley-to-mountain pink sky views. The elevated meditation / yoga deck, tucked into the boulders, transforms into the ultimate stargazing and fireside storytelling setting at night. The shaded pool patio is an ideal place to sip a cocktail and relax while watching quail, rabbits and the hypnotic dance of the palo verde trees in the breeze.
With no detail overlooked, Villa Paloma guests are treated to the ultimate blend of style and comfort, including:
· Fully-stocked chef’s kitchen with all the cooking and entertaining essentials, including brand new appliances and state-of-the-art drinking water filtration system
· Coffee / cocktail bar with panoramic desert views

· Lavish master bath with freestanding soaking tub and rain shower

Additional reminder:
Please see the last photo of the property map. This is our property boundaries at Villa Paloma so you can be sure to avoid crossing over into the neighbor's yard.
A map is attached to this message for further clarification:
- The red line is the property boundary and you can hike anywhere inside of that.
- The yellow line is the fire pit concrete pad up there. This is basically as far as you can go that direction.
- The orange circle is the neighbor who's most upset by the trespassing, hence the yellow line is as far as you can go. You can't see his house from the yellow line, which is why it's hard to tell anyone is back there.
