Since its establishment in 1875, the municipality of Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides has undergone various forms of development and urbanization. The recent years have witnessed a significant increase in the number of vacationers.
The territory of the municipality of Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides covers an area of approximately 110 km² and is bordered by the municipalities of Lantier, Saint-Donat, Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Val-David, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, and Entrelacs.
Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides is primarily characterized by a landscape of lakes, forests, and mountains, where one can find landscapes and a natural environment of high quality and little altered. A lesser-known area in the Laurentians region, Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides nevertheless attracts many vacationers in search of a peaceful haven.
In the background, the territory is home to the majestic Mont Kaaikop, the second-highest peak in the Laurentians (838 meters), a landmark for hiking and paragliding enthusiasts. Mont Kaaikop is recognized as a mountainous massif of aesthetic and recreational interest at the regional level.

Travelers arrive independently.
There are five steps to descend to enter the house, where there is 1 bedroom and a bathroom attached to the common areas, making the ground floor accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Ideally located in Ste-Lucie des Laurentides, just 10 minutes from the village of Val-David, this chalet offers a soothing view of a 6-acre lake, ensuring total tranquility with no neighbors in front.
The house is adorned with several sculptures by Robert Lachance, scattered throughout the various rooms, providing an enriching artistic experience for art enthusiasts.
The residence features four generously sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, guaranteeing absolute comfort for its occupants. The spacious, open-concept ground floor welcomes guests into a living area that cleverly transforms into a relaxation area, TV room, dining room, and billiards area, all surrounding a central staircase leading to the lower level. At the back of this immense space with high ceilings, an exceptional kitchen is revealed, complemented by a large island that invites you to prepare meals without ever losing sight of the surrounding activity. The master bedroom and the main bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower complete the first level.
Descending to the lower level, whose lake-facing walls are entirely glass, you'll discover a beautiful playroom for children, a foosball table, three other spacious bedrooms, and a second large living room. The sunny terrace and the relaxing spa await you here for moments of pure well-being.
Lake Desrosiers is a small private lake covering an area of 6 acres and serving only 4 cottages located on the same side of the lake. There are no cottages on the opposite side. Although wild, the lakeshore in front of the cottage is sandy. The lake is generally shallow (4 to 8 feet deep), slightly muddy in deeper areas but perfect for summer swimming. It is fed by underground spring water as well as water from the mountain. A large floating mat is available for your enjoyment, along with a paddleboard, two kayaks, and a pedal boat. The lake is dotted with lily pads and aquatic vegetation in some areas but nothing that impedes a pleasant swim.
We do not believe fishing is favorable in this lake, but since the cottage owners are not fishing enthusiasts, it remains uncertain. An ecologist mentioned the presence of small trout and various types of fish. More to follow!
It is essential to have a vehicle for getting around in this region. In winter, it is mandatory to have good winter tires or 4X4 vehicles to access the parking area. If this is not possible, you can park the car in a cleared space at the top, on Bord de l'eau Street.
CAMERAS: We have a camera outside that targets the entrance and parking lot only. This is mainly for thieves, as well as to check the number of cars or people to avoid parties!
IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that we are seeking a MATURE, DISCREET, and RESPECTFUL clientele. Consequently, and following too many negative experiences, we no longer rent to groups with an average age of adults under 28 or to individuals who wish to party without concern for noise affecting neighbors. Even though they may be distant, being in the mountains and in a peaceful environment means that sound carries a lot, and nighttime noises can disturb them, so PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED. Thank you for your understanding.
Pets: Note that small dogs may be accepted in the chalet with certain restrictions and under specific conditions. A fee of $75 per dog may apply (maximum of 2 dogs).
Full bedding is provided, as well as shower towels (1 per person). Please bring your own towels for the spa and swimming.
The kitchen is well-equipped, including an espresso machine, a coffee grinder, a Ninja blender, as well as equipment for fondue (gas), and a raclette machine, in addition to all usual kitchen accessories. In general, some basic items are provided such as sugar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filters, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, vegetable oil, etc.
You only need to bring your food, beverages, soap for washing, and towels for bathing and the spa.
There is a 58'' HD smart TV with Bluetooth soundbar in the main floor living room, and a second 42'' HD TV with Chromecast in the lower-level family room. You have unlimited wireless internet access with Bell Fibe.
There is also a washer/dryer, a BBQ (summer only), and a dishwasher at your disposal.
The SPA is usable year-round.
Additionally, there are various toys for children aged 0 to 6, a high chair, and a baby playpen.
