About this cottage rental
You'll fall in love with our Ty Haf (Summer House) right by the beach. Even its sky-blue colour makes you smile.
It's an easy-going coastal escape in the heart of Rhosneigr. With everything on the doorstep and a haven for water sports, soak up the sun on the terrace with its sea views, or pack a picnic and head for a surf.
The kitchen is a light-filled haven dazzle with a handy sofa to help keep the chef company or to stargaze. There's lovely lighting and lots of glass but with underfloor heating you'll feel cosy even if the weather is blowing a hooley. The dining table is the heart of the space, and a gloss gleam of a white kitchen has it all. Well equipped and beautifully presented with all the kit you need. Outside there is a courtyard for al fresco dining.
The living room feel is spacious with a south facing window overlooking the sunny terrace with reading table and wicker chairs. Smart sofas, a wood-burner and a plethora of books about local flora, fauna, birds and history will help gather some holiday activity plans. TV has Sky for wild weather days or head down to watch the unfolding drama of the sea on the shore.
Love and care have been lavished on this bolthole's five bedrooms with plenty of attention given to the little details. There are two handy ground floor bedrooms – one double, one single. A simple bathroom with shower is at the back of the house.
Bedrooms are calm and warm upstairs, to the front a bright and airy nautically themed twin room (can be made into a king bed) - you won't want to draw the blinds in this bedroom. Plus, a rustic-chic king bedroom with a nod to the past with its classic feel. Sip tea in bed, admire the view, feel lucky to be here. A cosy double bedroom is at the back with charming art and an antique style brass framed bed. The bathroom with honeyed travertine tiles and bath/shower over is cute and sparkling.
If you don't feel like cooking, then you have picked the right spot. Walk to The Surf Cafe for breakfast, grab lunch at Chaplin's Ice Cream and Coffee Bar or Mojo's, and head out for dinner at Sandy Mount House. A little further afield, The White Eagle at Rhoscolyn and The Oyster Catcher are also great places to eat out. Plus, a small local grocery shop that has just about everything. Janet Bell Gallery is worth a mooch.
You're minutes from the coastal path for shoreline walks or take your pick of the beaches. But if you prefer more active pursuits, you can go beachcombing along the coast, or conquer the challenge of the kite surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and golf. For those that like their planes, Rhosneigr beach clips the edge of the runway, so pop and watch the jets. Down the coast find Aberffraw with its little tea shop and Porth Cwyfan (the famous Church on the Island). Head further afield to Eryri (Snowdonia), Menai Bridge with its eateries and boutique shops, or Beaumaris for another jolly seaside village – with a castle
After all that, there's the sunny terrace for evening drinks. Or simply to gaze. And gaze…
You won't want to leave.
