Really good breakfast buffet - lots of options
Launch transfers are pretty pricey.

the location
unfortunately this hotel has lost its spark! some days no room cleaning, no turn down service at night, seems to be staffed by kids in their 20s. bird poo all over the balconies! not worth the $1k per night!
4.5
The room was impeccable and the concierge service was also seamless
Unfortunately dining at the Pacific was quite disappointing.

My Husband surprised me. What a wonderful surprise. It's been 9 years since we last visited. We had an amazing trip.
I loved everything. It's Hayman!

Our stay at Hayman was wonderful. Great facilities, friendly staff, stunning and peaceful surroundings. Pools are amazing. Day spa was heaven. Breakfast was plentiful and had a great variety of good quality options. The dining under the stars experience was amazing. We truly felt like we were in paradise and were well looked after from every aspect.
The bed was very soft with not much support.
3.0
Location, the staff are very friendly and helpful, not too crowded.
Not a lot to do on the island and the day trips were grossly overpriced. The same day trips were a third of the price from Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach and we were closer. The meals were just average at hatted prices. I work in Sydney city and go to nice restaurants with fabulous award winning food in ambient dining halls at a slither of the price. The spa was prob the most disappointing, after collectively spending >$1000 expecting the best experience for a treatment not exceeding 90 mins, It was very average, there was no technique or formal training, the young ladies were sweet but no understanding of the muscles or pressure points, it was just swirling around aimlessly with random squeezing and rubbing of oils. I feel for the staff perhaps formal technique and training could help them. I can see they want to be good but my young daughter gives better massage while sitting on the lounge at home watching tv.
The staff at hotel were very lovely, if not brilliant at customer service, however the quality of food and spa training just really let it down. I was expecting a luxury experience, but Iāve had better food and treatments at 4star Mercure and even then they have saunas and steam rooms and more onsite inclusive activities. We still had a nice relaxing time but sadly isnāt value for money.

Spacious rooms and beautiful place
terrible serviceā¦ coffee took forever to come at breakfast, endless time to get food, beach towels only came to the pool mid morningā¦ worst client orientation I have seen in an hotel of this type. really ruined the experience

Breakfast fantastic by the beach
The restaurants food/service was average. For a 5 star resort this is concerning considering the cost.
4.0
It is a beautiful property, the pools and beach are stunning. The room was luxurious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast.
The choices of restaurants were limited and the menus were limited as well. The quality of the food was a bit hit and miss especially at Amici.
Lunch was the biggest problem with limited choice and very expensive. When paying so much for accomodation I would expect that the restaurants would provide high quality food and choices. The seafood buffet was great.
1.5
Breakfast was good and the staff were lovely.
Lovely location.
Room choice was good but the deck was in need of repair! As was the mouldy awning.
Our Bags were lost on the first day.
Our bathroom didn't work on the second day!
The food was dire. Certainly not 5 Star! Nowhere to go in the evening as the bar closed at 7pm..!!!
The App you had to download was unreliable and didn't work properly. It didn't store your information.
Hence very little customer service.
You had to book everything before you even got to the Island as there was only 2 restaurants available at anyone time.
There was an issue everyday we were there. It was a total disappointment.
4.5
Spacious room, good facilities, excellent food, plenty of activities, great location
Difficult booking dinners and unorganised, trying to upsell products in the spa when already refusing, picnic lunch for whitehaven tour was stingy and for kids.

Good. Variety!
Meals out of proportion expensive for ānormalā meals
4.5
The upgrade of room. The size of the room. The view the breakfast, customer service and check in .
The pool side Aqua Resturant and the fact we had to pay to use the spa.

The resort was physically beautiful but the most wonderful aspect was the staff. Impeccably presented, giving world class service, they all seemed genuinely happy living the Hayman Island life and helping guests have the best experience possible.
Time went too quickly.

beautiful room (courtyard)
immaculate, flawless staff and service
comfy bed and linen
beautiful toiletries
just absolute luxury!! would come back for sure
happy to pay for a boat trip however $210 per person is a bit of a stretch for a 45 minute trip with drinks, cheese crackers and cold cuts.
I asked for vegetarian snacks on the return back to airport and check several times prior to arrival but Intercontinental stuffed this up.
canāt comment for other seasons but the tide goes down by 10am so complimentary water sports ends after this (winter time)
5.0
sparseness if the location
they need to have reverse cycle air conditioning
4.0
try and find somewhere to have dinner the time you want to go

We were upgraded to a pool wing suite on arrival for free, as there was a loud private function happening in the lagoon wing. Amazing resort, perfect for a stay of 4-5 days of absolute relaxation, but the array of activities were also appreciated.
We took a day trip to a nearby island with a long sandbar which was advertised as great for snorkelling. Although it was a pleasant spot for a picnic, there was really next to nothing to see snorkelling.
1.5
Great location. Fabulous swimming pools. Beautifully curated grounds and planting.
Although everyone was friendly, many staff (particularly in the restaurants, cleaning and activities) were young, clearly temporary, inexperienced and poorly trained. As a result, many mistakes were made and you had to do a lot yourself. The quality of food was not high, room cleaning was not good and everything was expensive. Not the quality of service you expect at these prices.

Food was not great, especially for the price

Amazing breakfast and location. Ocean Dynamics snorkeling excursion was really good but would have been GREAT with better weather conditions. Would have liked the snorkeling to be longer.
Availability to excursions was not great. They were either booked or N/A. Disappointed that jet ski not available/booked and also the spas was not available. More trash cans needed around property. More beach towels needed. Bam Bam food good but sometimes slow.
2.5
The island is fabulous with the rooms prepared exceptionally and the amenities well maintained.
I booked all my restaurants and experiences 3 weeks in advance and still they managed to make mistakes. There is a massive opportunity for them to understand one client journey across the resort and to service clients accordingly.
All the staff meant well but clearly have some training gaps across the board. Overall the F&B isnāt to starch in terms of delivery and service for 5 stars.
The stay wasnāt as luxury as expected, very family and mainstream in many ways.
3.5
The room was well set out and designed.
The bed was so soft in gave us back pain, we asked for additional board or mattress but unable to help.
The breakfast hot buffet was cold
The overall food in each restaurant was average but they didn't miss charging including $100 each way for transport over per person, drinks and food pricey
5.0
everything is just amazing
