Very uncomfortable beds and pillows to the extent it can be a deal breaker for some. Bedsheets clean but the room not so much. Dated objects/decoration etc. (e.g. the water tank got stuck sometimes). No lift.

fabulous

location was fab, perfect for a weekend away right next the beach near loads of nice bars and restaurants price was perfect for short stays best bed I've slept on in a while very clean run by lovely people. felt very safe as its not a tourist place people were surprised i was English but everyone was friendly

balcony view was not great but didn't use it anyway so its not a big issue

Great View from Balcony, Welcoming and Helpful Host - Would Stay Again

Very welcoming and helpful host (provided me bowl/spoon for morning cereal and coffee mug). Great view from balcony, across street from beach. Super clean. Heat and AC. Bed a bit of a “rock” but not uncomfortable, pillows that didn’t retain heat and make you sweat.

Smallish room but as advertised. No restaurant but several nearby. Smallish, but not tiny, bathroom. 5 flights of stairs to get to 1st floor (what Americans call 2nd floor). Didn’t notice in listing, no elevator. Not a big deal except when bringing in luggage. No parking but found place on street next to hotel.

Fantastic location, you can go for a swim across the street! The owner is very friendly and helpful! Comfortable room with all the necessary amenities and a nice sea view !Simple hotel but very budget friendly :)

They booked the taxi in the early morning for me, have been kind as usual. Perfect spot and can hear the sea waves at night.

Cheap hotel next to beach

Next to beach nice view. Refrigerator and airconditioning were working. Balcony. Restaurant and mini market (kiosk) nearby.

An exceptional host. A comfortable and clean Hotel on the beach.

An exceptional host. A comfortable and clean Hotel on the beach. We loved our stay here. The hotel is right on the beachfront. We were able to enjoy the beach morning, noon, and evening, being only metres from our hotel. The room and ensuite were very clean, included air conditioning, and the beds were comfortable. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside on our private balcony, and getting-up in the morning to the spectacular view of the beach and coastline. After a long day, we were able to sit on the balcony in the evening with a drink and a view of the sea. Our host also helped us arrange travel routes to Olympia, including bus and taxi times for the next morning - really making the trip worthwhile! We plan to stay here again. We look forward to booking our next stay at Alexandrion hotel. Christopher & Donna

Great location along beach, good value for money, but old and a bit smelly

Right across from the beach. Balconies with views. Friendly staff. Fridge in room. Walking distance to some of the cafes and restaurants along the boardwalk. Low price.

It's old. A bit smelly. Hotel smells of cigarette smoke. Carpets in the hallway were stained and dirty. Floor rug in room wasn't clean. Door handle to room was literally falling off. Would be nicer if it had a bit of a refresh like new carpets and updates.

Very good

View was INCREDIBLE. Right on the beach, and for the price, there is absolutely no comparison

Building is OLD and needs work. Rooms are dated, bathroom is very small, beds are very bad, and leaks appeared all over along the floor line during a sudden heavy thunderstorm.

It was good, I would go again

Location couldn't be better, with sea view. The room would profit from a bit of paint or refurbishment but considering the price it is value for money. The staff was friendly and helpful and the manager very polite. Overall a nice stay and going for a swim just outside your door is fantastic!!!

The building is old, needs a freshen up! The rooms too, would be lovely with new furniture and a bit of paint

The location is very nice. Just next to the beach. Also worth to mention the restaurants around. The guy at reception is very nice and helpful.

Very good

The owner was very smiley and polite! He loved our dog and he has a very cute one himself. The hotel is in a great location, right above the beach and close to all the tavernas and coffee-shops!

The cleaning of the place was really poor. Our room smelled of smoke and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. You could clearly see that the bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) had not been cleaned properly -unfortunately below expectations. The hallways needed everyday sweeping and the place definitely needs renovation.

Would definitely stay there again :)

Perfect location, right in front of the beach (it doesn't get any better than that !!) The price is quite affordable for Kalamata. The hotel wasn't full, so we got a triple room instead of a double one. It's about a 15 min walk to the marina and 30 min to the historic center (we got there by taxi from the airport), but you won't need to go to the center too often anyway, I recommend it for a beach vacation !

There is a lot of noise from the street at night, but that's because of the location right in front of the seaside. The shower was a bit tiny and the bathroom door didn't really close well.

Superb

The hotel and staff and restaurant immediately below were fantastic. Perhaps not the most luxuriously equipped rooms and facilities but a fantastic veranda overlooking the Kalamata bay and the perfect location with the same view as hotels with 5x the cost.
