Lovely place, would stay here again

For an old style motel, it felt like the place was cared for very well. Everything was clean and well maintained (a homely clean, not just at a commercial/surface level). The room was very spacious. Good location, close to the CBD.

WiFi though secure was slow and not always available. The room was a bit dark (lack of natural light) - that's due to the old style building design.

It did the job it was supposed to do. I didn't spend much time in the room so it was adequate

The reception staff was lovely, parking was easy, the room while very shabby was was very clean. Not a hint of mould in the bathroom and all surfaces gleaming. The bed was comfortable and sheets and towels provided (while frayed) were clean.

The motel is very old and shabby. While clean and comfortable enough the carpets and most of the furniture needs replacing. The chair backs in the room were frayed with age and the seats were stained. The motel and its garden appears uncared for.

if your going to say you have wifi make sure it work good

i liked the staff very friendly and helpful very nice how every day someone asked if we had enough tea and coffee i liked how close the wintersun motel was to the beach and shops and town centre i also liked that the carpark we had was close to are room and that we didnt have a room upstairs

there wifi was very s*** i was very disappointed in this as my father at home has a disability where i need to watch him on are home cameras which i couldnt do because the room wifi had bad reception most days and times didnt even work the bathroom we had was very small we could hardly move in and made it very hard to shower and keep are selfs clean are hearter and ac was broken to where we needed to fix it to make it work on the last night the dumb a*** next door was to loud banging on the wall till late at night and up and loud at 6:30am the next morning

A mixed experience. Some good , some not so good

I’ve stayed here before and chose it for affordability and good location

Apiece of really dirty rubbish ( a piece of dirty black foam) had been left on the bench , maybe left by a workman . Apart from that the room was clean.The radio would suddenly make noises in the middle of the night disturbing sleep.

Comfortable, pleasant place

We stayed here 3 times and each time had a pleasant room. The ladies in the office are friendly and welcoming. Each day our room was cleaned, unlike some places that don't clean daily, using covid as the reason. The motel is on the main road but we heard no noise. It is a little away from the city centre but it is very easy to get there.

The bathroom is small but it was not a problem.
