Our time and and experience on the Amalfi Coast was accentuated by our stay at Villa Lilia. Words cannot accurately describe this 5star property nestled into the hills just above Vietri Sul Mare. The property is amazing, the views are stunning and most importantly, the people are 100% genuine. You must experience it for yourself!!! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!! Teresa’s hospitality and willingness to offer suggestions on local restaurants, places to visit or just simply answering questions was a huge benefit… ti vogliamo bene!! See you again!

Great Experience
Lovely property in a lovely location. Great views and well maintained gardens. The description was accurate and we were not disappointed.
When we booked , Teresa was very helpful and efficient in regard to finding the property.
On arrival Teresa greeted us and explained the necessary things that would make our stay easier.
During our stay Teresa kept contact ensuring that we had everything that we needed and suggested places to go.
Would recommend this as a ideal place to stay that is not touristy.
Hosts couldn’t have been better.

Beautiful apartment in excellent location
If you want to experience Amalfi coast, there couldn’t be better location to stay than this. Vietri is a cosy small town between the crowded coastal cities and the larger city of Salerno. It is easy to visit the more touristic cities like Positano, Amalfi and Maiori by ferry. But do not forget Ravello, which in my opinion was the most beautiful city. The apartment itself is spacious and clean. There’s a nice view over Vietri to the sea. The pool is fantastic, as is the private parking space. Everyone of the host family were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in beautiful Villa Lilia.

Attention To Every Detail
We were understandably nervous, renting an apartment in a region of Italy we had never been to, and doing so online. Our nervousness quickly disappeared when we arrived and were greeted by Teresa, who lives upstairs with her family. She gave us a tour, showed us how everything worked, and answered any questions we had. The apartment is bigger than the pictures show, was spotless, the view breathtaking. It’s in a gated area as well. Very secure and safe. It would have been nice to have extra toilet paper or paper towels upon arriving, as another reviewer mentioned. We arrived late and were stressed to find an open supermarket on a Sunday. That being said, the kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed cooking on several occasions. The pool was spotless, and well maintained. Beautiful garden. Attention to every detail. Great restaurants featuring local cuisine are near. The apartment is centrally located and easily accessible to Capri, Positano, Pompeii, Amalfi and drivable from Rome. We hope to go back!

super appartement, super gastvrouw
Alles prima in orde.

Amazing place
We stayed in this wonderful apartment for almost a week during our summer holiday, and it's an amazing place where we would love to stay again.
The apartment is spacy and comfortable, and the views over Vietri Sul Mare are truly breathtaking. We also enjoyed access to the swimming pool and the gardens that sourrounds the beautiful villa.
The host Theresa was most kind to us and helpful to recommed nice local places and restaurants to visit.
We can highly recommed this place, and we hope to come back there.

Excellent location, hospitable hostess, perfect apartment
The location of Villa Lilia is amazing. From the terrace and the apartment you have a wide view over Vietri sul Mare and Salerno. Perfect to reach by car or public transport (Vietri sul Mare, Salerno). We made some trips, starting with the local bus at 300 metres. In Vietri there is a train station (local train to Napoli). You can also walk to Vietry sul Mare (0,5 hour). From Villa Lilia you are in the centre of the area Napoli/Amalfi. We made trips to Amalfi/Positano by boat, Sorrento and peninsula trip by car, Paestum and Vesuvio/Pompei by Car (bus and train also possible).
Teresa, the owner, is very hospitable. Contact with here is very easy (whatsapp) and she answers directly.
The apartment is perfect. Good inside and outside, sufficient kitchen appliances and very good bed.

Incredible!
We absolutely loved our four nights in Vietri Sul Mar at Teresa's beautiful apartment. The pictures do not do this place justice - it was so much more beautiful and spacious than we imagined, and we went in with high expectations! Teresa was such a lovely hostess who had all the ingredients for the best bruschetta we've ever had waiting for us when we arrived. She was so accommodating and kind, we loved meeting her and she was the perfect hostess. Teresa lives upstairs so we felt extremely safe knowing she was nearby and because the small apartment complex was gated. (The neighbors were so nice too, an older woman drove us into town one day when she saw us attempt to walk!)
The only downside was how far away it was from Positano. If you decide to dine out near the house, check out Cava de' Tirreni before going into Vietri as Vietri is pretty touristy and the food was decent. We loved eating at Picante Wine Bar one night when we stubled across it trying to buy a new electric adapter.
Cabs from Vietri Sul Mare were 10 Euro (less than a mile away) and from Salerno (less than 3 miles away) they were 25 Euro - pretty pricey! A ferry for two (Salerno to and from Positano) runs 48 Euro total and we did that twice, so between that and the cab, transportation to and from the unit was pricey. We would definitely recommend renting a car or a vespa if you stay here. Especially since the unit has a parking space within the gated area. Other than that though, it was perfecto!

Delightful property with breath-taking views
What a delightful time we had at Villa Lilia! The apartment is equally sunny and shadowy thanks to the citrus trees growing outside in front of the terrace, airy and welcoming and impeccably clean! The real treasure is of course the terrace – we could have stayed on it the whole night enjoying a glass of wine and sinking in the most amazing views of the coast. There is a very well maintained swimming pool and the most useful parking area for a few cars behind the automatic gates so that you feel totally secure and spoiled with all the necessary facilities. Parking on Amalfi coast is scarce and very expensive, be prepared! Towels and even two robes were also provided however, some washing liquid and cloths and perhaps some extra toilet paper would have been very handy.
Location – wise, Villa Lilia is indeed conveniently located, perched on a hill above a small coastal town Vietri sul Mare (about 5min drive), which is famous for its ceramics shops and perhaps an authentic Italian life style. Also, to get to the villa from the Naples airport takes less than an hour! All the glitz and excitement though are closer to Amalfi and Positano and that will need some driving (and what a driving! about an hour or so)or sailing along the most amazing coast of Amalfi!
Thank you, Teresa, for the most delightful weekend we spent at your wonderful villa! We would love to return and will certainly recommend the Villa Lilia to a friend!

You will never stay in a hotel again. This apartment and the surroundings of the entire home are breathtaking.

The property was beautiful, the apartment was just like as shown in the pictures.Great view!
Overall I would say our experience at this apartment was wonderful! Our hostess, Teresa, is a delightful people person. Upon our arrival, seeing that we were tired from our travel, she kindly made us espresso coffee and served it to us on a tray. All the equipment worked and we enjoyed making breakfast eggs on her gas stove. She spent the time to familiarize us with everything and said to just knock on her door, her apt just above ours, if we needed anything. The only thing you should know is that if you don't rent a car, you will need to take a taxi up from Vietri to the apt, 10 euros, and to Salerno for 25 euros if you are toting luggage, otherwise a Sita bus goes there from town. But elsewhere, we traveled by Sita bus and the delightful ferry... both unique experiences! One other note, Vietri is a small town, so it is not full of great restaurants. So, if we went to say Amalfi for the day, we would dine there, before heading back!

Sparkling clean and comfortable!
Though our GPS sent us to the wrong address in a nearby village, we eventually found our way to this lovely home in Vietri Sul Mare. Theresa, the host met us with her staff member who was helpful in getting our suitcases into the house. The house is perched on a cliff with lovely views of the sea so when you are having your breakfast on the deck, you have a partial view of the sea. The other view is of the lovely fruit trees in front of you. The home is lovely; very beautifully decorated and with care. It's large and bright and had almost everything we required for our stay. I would encourage Theresa to have more than towels and perhaps have extra towels to use at the sparkling pool. Ours did not ever seem to dry and though there is a drying rack and washing machine, for some reason everything remained damp. So, extra towels needed! We made our own breakfasts daily and enjoyed the views and then headed off on our adventures on the Amalfi coast. This house is a perfect place from which to base yourself. We went to Positano and to Capri by using the ferries which leave from Salerno; a very short drive from Vietri Sul Mare. THAT was very convenient! Though my husband also drove the winding road to and from Positano, I have to warn you that this drive is not for the faint of heart. It's white knuckled, hair raising but also very thrilling! We did it three times! You can easily visit Ravello, Positano and Amalfi as well as VSM and Salerno using this house as your base. The ferry service is fabulous and Theresa has a schedule available in the apartment for your use as well as other information on the area. The house is extremely secure. No worries whatsoever about that; there is a locked gate and you must have a key to gain access. Theresa and family live upstairs so she is available to assist you. One night she gifted us a large piece of cake baked by her mother to celebrate her son's birthday and that cake, THAT CAKE, was one of the best desserts either of us have every eaten. If you are offered cake when you are there; accept it and gorge yourself. It was like nothing we've eaten before. That woman can bake!! Thank you Theresa! Though people complained in other reviews about mosquitos we didn't have any issue in September with them however we were warned not to leave any food out whatsoever as it attracts ants so we were somewhat obsessive with keeping everything clean! We would recommend this property highly to others.

Truly a rare find, a stunning property that exceeded all expectations.
We had the most amazing time at Villa Lilia, truly a five star experience. The property was exactly as it looked in the pictures provided online (we were even provided with robes!). After exploring Paris and before exploring Rome staying in Villa Lilia was a welcome rest from the chaotic life of a traveler. We had expected and were told that the pool would be closed upon arrival as the summer season had come to an end. However, because of the excellent weather Teresa had the pool open for us which was quite the treat!
The interior of the villa is spacious and very clean. Everything was as described in the description found in the listing. The patio has an amazing view for morning coffee and evening wine. A ten minute walk up the hill brings you to a small market. A 5 minute drive down to Vietri Sul Mare brings you to some amazing seafood and beautiful ceramics. We especially enjoyed Il Principe e La Civetta. We found Vietri and the villa to be a great home base to explore the coast. One can easily get to Salerno and take a private boat or the ferry to Positano, Amalfi and Capri to mingle with the crowds.
We can't say enough great things about Villa Lilia and we hope to return soon! Thank you Teresa!!!

Fabulous views and apartment!
Teresa was a wonderful host, always helpful but never intrusive. My wife and I stayed four days and found the location ideal to either get to the Auto Strada for our trip up to Pompeii or the main road to Amalfi and Positano. Although we could have driven, we opted to walk up to the the small nearby village of Riato where you can shop for food in the small market. Unfortunately, we didn't get to swim in the pool because we were gone all day, but Teresa made sure that it was cleaned everyday. Day or night, the view is pretty spectacular over Vietri sul Mare and Salerno. We highly recommend this apartment as there were no surprises, it is as described and true to the pictures provided on her listing. In addition, she is great at communicating and her directions to the location were super specific. Hope to visit with you again some day, Teresa. All the best to you! Tony and Lisa.

relaxing luxury
Lovely hillside home.
This apartment is well furnished and clean, bright and had has a great view over Vietri town and sea. It is decorated with taste and is a very pleasant place to stay in. The owners are very friendly and if you need them they are there to help but the house itself is very private and cozy.
There is a lagre fridge/vreezer, a gas hob and also a bbq (downstrairs below the terrace).
Big sliding doors give you access to a private terrace where you will find a dinner table and comfy seats/sofa. At night time the lights of Vietri and the towns in the distance make a beautiful view.
Just a few steps up is the lovely pool with comfortable loungers. Surrounded by a nice garden the pool has sun the whole day until about 4 o clock. The pool is only shared with the home owners but they do not seem to use the pool so everything feels very private. Do bring some anti mosquito spray because at about 4 o clock there are quite a few flying around (in the evening they were gone again).
We never locked the doors when we went out, evrything felt really safe.
The house is situated a 5 minutes’ drive from the center or beach of Vietri.
It is possible to walk to Vietri in about 17 minutes but going back will take longer as it is quite a climb upwards. It is also possibly to use the bus. As there are no shops or bars nearby I would recommend a car although there are two 4star hotels within 10min. walking distances if you want to go out for a dinner, have a drink and not drive that would be possible.
The beach of Vietri is lovely and half sandy half rocky. On the right side of the beach (when facing the sea) is a nice beach restaurant serving good food. Parking is about €2.- an hour at the beach.
What I liked about Vietri is that there are far less tourist than in Positano, you will find yourself among the Italians on the beach and in the center when dining. Vietri is much cheaper than Positano and offers better quality for money in restaurants but is is also less pretty and luxurious. More real, more Italian.
The apartment is a great place to relax and quite secluded.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Views were excellent. The position is on the side of a hill, and terraced, so there are some steps to negotiate, but the views and apartment are worth the effort. The owner will move your cases willingly. The apartment is well equiped and quiet.

"The apartment was very clean, quiet and has a magnificent view across the Bay of Salerno.
The pool was wonderful.
The apartment is the complete lower floor of a large impressive Villa. The owner, Teresa, lives upstairs with her family. She was helpful, yet discreet.
The apartment is very spacious and well equipped.
You really need a car if you are staying at the apartment. The only negative I can think of is the difficulty of backing out of the drive onto the main road."
