Good location- beautiful views
Nice service
Very nice restaurant
Great to be able to go to the castle grounds when we wanted.
Expensive for the size of the room we got - €300 for an attic room- but that’s probably usual in a castle hotel.
To be aware, there are no communal area or facilities, no reception after 6pm and only the main restaurant. And no elevator (although we were aware and didn’t mind).
Lack of clarity on what we were paying- Booking.com charged me €4 extra to upgrade room but in reality that wasn’t possible at the hotel as only one room had twin beds.
A lack of clarity on the dinner menu- despite my asking several times what came with the main course - meant I had too much food ie 2x main courses and was charged for it. Less about the money, more about setting out the menu more clearly.

Everything was perfect regarding our stay. The room was large , beds were super comfortable, the food at dinner and at breakfast was delicious. I give the stay a perfect 10!

Can't think of much

We loved everything about our stay at Burg Reichenstein! Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had a view of the castle ruins. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The location of the hotel is wonderful, situated right next to Burg Reichenstein, which was interesting to explore and romantic to walk around at night. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the generous breakfast. If we ever get to go to Germany again, we will go back to Burg Reichenstein!

The breakfast was very good. The room with a tub was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed it.
We wished it had AC.

The location was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional.
The door keys were difficult to use.

Hotel Burg Reichenstein is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. It is very romantic and beautiful with flowers all over the place. Great location overlooking the Rhine river. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast excellent. The hotel offered free tea and coffee with cakes in the afternoon. The staff was helpful in every way. The restaurant in the castle is excellent.
It is definitely worth visiting the castle and museum of the property. All is very well preserved and restored.

Beautiful castle with 24 hotel rooms. I booked 2 rooms, both were small, but comfortable, bathrooms were very small. Breakfast was decent, several choices and ability to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Views of the Rhine were phenomenal.
Check-in was a bit convoluted, you had to check in inside the little storefront. Parking was awful, if you didn't get into one of the 7 spots near the castle gate, you were walking 3km from parking at the bottom of the hill (and I was with mobility impaired family members). Reception did not return my dad's credit card upon check-in, the only way I knew they had it was when I called them to ask a question (they did not notify me). Only stairs, no elevator and rooms were on opposite sides of the castle, we adjusted, but it was a little difficult.

Excellent location, great view over river Rhine, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, dinner in restaurant Puricelli was great
Breakfast variety could be a bit better

the castle was great! the rooms were well appointed. We enjoyed entering the castle grounds at night. Breakfast was very good, as was tea time. Parking was convenient.

Everything about this property was first class. The breakfast, rooms, staff, location, view, museum tour. The afternoon tea.
There was nothing I did not love!
4.5
This place has the atmosphere of a private resort. The reception staff were extremely helpful and even provided an electrical adapter when I realized I had left mine at my previous stop. The included breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, with plentiful choices. We ate dinner at the Puricelli restaurant both nights, and the meals were exceptional. We took most of a day to explore the castle, and only left the property to hike the trail just behind the castle. I will recommend Burg Reichenstein to anyone traveling to this area.
There was nothing to complain about!

Everything about the castle was exceptional! The location (overlooking the Rhine), the room, meals, the staff, and the castle tour (free for guests) was great. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again, but for a couple of nights!

We honestly couldn't fault the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble for them. We were impressed with how they cared for our 6 month old son, and left out bowls and food for our dog.
The value for money is fantastic- afternoon tea, breakfast and the entrance to the museum are all included- and all excellent, alongside a very comfortable and immaculate room. We very much enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family (and probably returning ourselves!).
Parking- not much of a 'car park'...but the fact that it's free is great!

Wow what a place!Great food, views, and rooms. Nice to be able to explore a castle right next to your room. Great price.
Parking is available but constrained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is phenomenal and each dish of the four courses we ate absolutely exceeded our expectations. The waitress was very professional and we were beyond pleased.
The ambiance of the restaurant is lacking. It was a very cold and austere environment

This is lovely hotel set in a castle and totally refurbished in recent past. We had a lovely bedroom and bathroom, with a view over the Rhein. Our car was parked in the small car park, but more parking was available on the nearby street. Lovely breakfast and dinner, as well as a complimentary afternoon tea and coffee. As hotel guests, we also had free access to the castle museum and gardens, together with audio guide in English. Very friendly and helpful staff, some of whom spoke excellent English.
A bit noisy at times because of frequent trains passing along bank of Rhein, but ear plugs provided by the hotel did help with this. Perhaps bigger bath towels would be good and a choice of still or fizzy water in bedroom should be automatically awaiting guest on arrival, not just fizzy which not everyone likes.

The hotel is separate from the castle and has only 24 rooms and a restaurant. we walked around the grounds of the castle the evening we arrived and toured the castle the next day. We had planned to go to Rudesheim on Saturday but had a room with a river view and read
on our deck rather than go anywhere. it is an easy walk from the train station to the castle as we arrived by train.
We had a 2-story room and had to be cautious in going downstairs in the night to use the toilet.

this is a truly spectacular place. We got a towet room that is just facinating.
I miss a WiFi that has full coverage in the room. It works so and so. I also miss a wine-opener (!) and a mini-bar/fridge.

Breakfast buffet was really good, every item you could think of was available. It was my wife's 50 birthday, we had wine in the bedroom when we arrived and got champagne for breakfast. Our room overlooked the river Rhine, it was beautiful!
the only complain, the room was really warm and a better fan would have been appreciated.

Wonderfull Location! Amazing food! Go for it! Our room was very warm and there was no air conditioning. Other than that, a perfect stay!
