The location suited us really well as we were visiting friends and family over the festive period
The bungalow accommodation was tired, desperately needs a refresh, traces of damp which the owner had tried to repair. Fusty smell when you walked in, the kitchen floor has old piece of carpet as mat to cover some damage to the floor from previous mat, No smoke alarms, badly decorated and peeling wallpaper in kitchen, radiator in kitchen vibrates off the window cill, 2 of the drawers in kitchen full of bits, bobs, not really useful for anything, random electrical wires wallpapered over? Looks a bit dodgy.
Cracked/wobbly floor tiles in bathroom, rusty freestanding toilet roll holder, its an easy thing to replace, shower cubicle could do with the sealant and grout being redone as showing signs of age and freshening up with coat of paint. Master bedroom, can clearly see where the damp issue has been, doesn't look like it's been repaired properly. Having noticed the neighbouring driveway, you can see their drive covers the first row of damp course bricks, which could mean an ongoing issue for the owners. The living room has a broken curtain rail left up, with no curtains. If it's broken, take it down.
Just being honest with what we saw, we did like the property and the area and would stay there again, however we would urge the owners to love the place again.

TV not hanging at an angle off the wall had to duck every time I passed. To use the toilet, had to wiggle to get between shower stall and wash basin. Mold in the shower. Very low water pressure. Maybe it's to do with the area Not a winter rental. The heat disappeared from the room hen heating is switched off. Maybe some heavy lined curtain on the patio doors and the bedroom window would have helped. Comfortable bed

I would like to stay at the bungalow again, as its location is handy for me as a base to visit my family. However I found the mustiness smell there rather off-putting.
I opened plenty of windows during daylight, but when I closed them the smell was still there. I came home with my belongings and even my hair smelling musty. I imagine the smell in the studio must be even stronger.
I understand it is difficult with properties that are left locked up much of the time, but it would be good if this could be addressed somehow.

location
online info/photos deliberately misleading.

very quiet ,nice area ,easy walk to supermarket and pubs ,all clean and comfy
there is a studio at rear ,so need to share drive ,so can see a few times where you might
have to ask other occupants to move car to let you out ,or they asking you the same

The location was very quiet, one of the neighbours was out watering plants shortly after I arrived and was very friendly. I felt comfortable knowing I could see my car when it was parked in the drive as my friend had recently had hers stolen from her property not far from where I was staying.

The bathroom had broken tiles on the floor and a sticky residue. The toilet seat was loose and my step dad nearly fell off it. The kitchen floor was grubby and sticky. We had to check the cups and wash them before we could use them. The whole place had a damp & moldy smell. We bought a neutralising air spray! The artificial flowers were really dusty, with cobwebs. The step up into the property was very high 3 out of the 4 of us had difficulty both going up and down it. Some hand rails would have helped. The carpet in the main bedroom was tatty at the edges, the whole place needed to be decorated and there were electric wires in weird places that made it look like it needs rewiring. The property does lack sockets and there are extensions in use in the living room and the main bedroom.

Welcoming, comfortable and in a nice quiet location

Easy access to facilities and nice to park off road. Clean, comfortable and perfect for a night or two. Contactable hosts very responsive.
If we had realised the shower room was so tiny we probably would not have booked. I'm only 5ft 3 and I struggled- my husband is 6ft 4 and found it extremely challenging.
Fitted sheets that stay fitted would be great too.

The property was a decent size and a good location. The beds were comfy.
The property was dirty throughout but the kitchen and bathroom particularly were filthy. The place needs a deep clean. It could do with some maintenance and updating too but the wear and tear could easily be forgiven if the place was cleaned.

The whole studio was clean and warm. The kitchen was a little tired but well equipped. Its great to have a table to sit and eat at. The bed is comfortable and the bedding provided was clean and fresh as were the towels and tea towels.
Bathroom too small!! Could hardly move in it. Tap had a tendancy to overflow onto the floor as basin so small.
WiFi was poor barely good enough to use the internet.
Fitted sheet not deep enough to fit around the mattress and kept coming untucked.

Lovely clean accommodation with very comfortable beds and well set up for 4 people. Twin beds in one bedroom and super king in the second bedroom - plus the bonus of a sofa bed in the lounge.
Good size bathroom with corner shower.
Great size lounge with two double sofas and tv. Plenty of reading books around the place.
Kitchen well equipped including dishwasher and a good range of cooking equipment. Table in the kitchen is a great size for size.
Easy parking on the drive - room for 2 cars.
Easy walking distance to local shops, pubs, fish and chips and parks.
Nothing - just note the driveway is quite narrow but still plenty of room to park 2 cars.

Comfortable for 4. Quiet location. Ice cream man at tea time.
Amazon with Netflix.
Felt like staying in someone's house who had vacated for the weekend. Some toiletries left in the bathroom including a used bar of soap.
Breakfast not left in the fridge as described.
Emailed owner as the carbon dioxide alarm kept bleeping, this did resolve however no response to the email.
We wouldn't normally grumble however in the current climate, despite it looking clean we didn't have the assurance that it had been to current standards required.

It was ok for a fewer days
