About this house rental
Hook Cottage is a beautifully presented holiday home and occupies a central position in the historic Cotswold town of Chipping Campden. Extremely convenient access to a wide range of quality shops, pubs and restaurants, but situated in a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street, ensuring a good nights sleep! Hook Cottage is well equipped to a high standard with all the modern facilities you'd expect, yet is full of Cotswold cottage charm and character - a real home from home. Whether you enjoy fabulous fine dining, cosy nights in, walking or sightseeing, Hook Cottage is the perfect place to holiday from.
Two double bedrooms with king size beds, single bedroom and family bathroom on the first floor. Single bedroom with en-suite on the ground floor, with the added extra of a pull out single guest bed (5'9" in length).
Designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Cotswolds countryside is peppered with delightful villages and engaging walks for all abilities. Its' many towns and villages offer a mix of old world charm alongside high quality eateries, interesting independent shops, galleries, gardens of national importance and local food artisans. Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle are all within easy driving.

This place was absolute dream from the moment we walked through the gate. We immersed ourselves in Chipping Campden and enjoyed quiet mornings, walks to the playground, and shopping. We will stay here again if we venture to England again someday. It was perfect.

My family as well as my sister and her husband came to Chipping Campden to visit a family friend. Hook cottage provided a wonderful central location in the beautiful village of Chipping Campden. The cottage was well appointed and the beds comfortable. The welcoming touches of fruits and jams and wine were fabulous. We are already thinking of reasons to come back soon!

We absolutely loved our time at Hook Cottage. It was like a storybook with the roses climbing the walls and the beautiful flowers. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. The area is perfect - you can find great food right outside the door. The rooms were comfortable and could accommodate 7 of us comfortably (3 children). We really appreciated the kid-friendly touches with the children's books and games as well!

Perfect for a girls getaway! We could not have asked for a better place. It was a great location and everything we needed was provided. The garden courtyard was beautiful for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening.

This stunning cottage is right in the centre of the bustling market town of Chipping Campden but is hidden behind a small gate off the high street that leads to a courtyard - you're as central as possible in the town but it's in it's own peaceful oasis. We were on a girly weekend so to have 4 separate bedrooms all with comfy beds, an ensuite and a separate bathroom was perfect for us - as was the open plan kitchen lounge area. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Skipper was so pleasant to deal with and we will definitely be back.
Chipping Campden is a great little town with walks from the doorstep, a good selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes (we had a delicious meal at The Eight Bells) and also a good selection of shops to browse around.
We were blessed with the weather and the outdoor table and chairs were brilliant for our afternoon coffee.
We parked in the central carpark (right opposite the gate to the property) when we first arrived and had no problem moving the car to the street parking once the bustle had died down a bit.
I've stayed in lots of cottages over the years and this is one of the best - we couldn't recommend it more if we tried.

We stayed here for the girls' trip. Skipper communicated well, answering all my questions before arrival. It was a lovely four-bedroom home with one room downstairs and three upstairs. It was very clean. It was in the middle of town but very secluded. Make sure you ask how to work the bathroom tub knobs. Never quite figured that out. Lovely sitting area in a nicely manicured garden. This stop was our favorite part of the trip. The town closed up early at night which was kind of strange. Highly recommend hiring a driver to visit the area. Roads are small, with limited parking. Our driver, John, was inexpensive, and these towns are very small and have limited parking. Skipper can give you, his number. This cottage has everything you need, and I highly recommend staying here. There is no washer or dryer so plan for that. I was surprised that all the UK residents were extremely nice and accommodating.

This was the most beautiful cottage, perfectly and beautifully designed. The hosts could not have been more gracious. Excellent communication and response times. Very welcoming and kind. Easy to find and extremely comfortable with the best location. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

This is our second stay at Hook Cottage and the second time was as wonderful as the first. This is a meticulously maintained property that is spotlessly clean. It's warm and cozy with lots of nice details like coffee, tea, soaps, etc. The location is wonderful - tucked off the High Street in a very convenient spot. Do not hesitate to book this lovely home! We plan to return!

As you can gather from the consistently good reviews, this is a wonderful cottage rental. Everything looked exactly as shown in the pictures and it was all truly very charming. All that we could have asked for in the rental was provided. It was so nice being located right in town. We were able to go to the shops and pubs very easily. I could only hope to be back some day. Thank you for hosting us.

The cottage is in an amazing location in Chipping Campden. Very quiet and relaxing after long walks and bike rides through the Cotswolds. The goodies Skipper provided on our arrival were most welcome. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever had! Every detail had been well thought out to make us feel like we were staying with friends. A bouquet of daffodils was waiting for us on the table, as well as fresh baked bread, jam, tea, milk, and wine. Everything worked well, the beds were comfy, and the spotless decor looked like rooms found in a magazine. Great job, Skipper!
Chipping Camden had pubs and restaurants, food shops, pharmacy, and walking paths. We had such a good time!

Lovely cottage in an unbearable location in the lovely Chipping Camden. Skipper was a great host, and even left a bottle of wine for the group. Perfect for 6 or 7 people for a long weekend, would definitely stay again!

Hook House is even more lovely than it appears in the details. It feels like home straight away and is extremely well equipped. It is clean and comfortable and the kitchen overlooking the courtyard garden is delightful. It provided us with a perfect base for a family wedding and we would love to spend more time there in the future and explore the area.

We are a group of 4 adults, one 16 year old and one 12 year old and the space worked really well for us. We were welcomed with flowers, fresh fruit, and some staples from the surrounding shops when we arrived. We sat out in the beautiful outdoor garden every day, and everything you could want is literally steps away. We took some amazing walks to Broadway and up and around Dover Hill, and toured around several towns with Hook cottage as our home base. There is a recreation area with a wonderful playground nearby.

My husband, sister and brother-in-law had the most comfortable stay at Hook Cottage! Everything we needed was here, and in such a lovely setting. The owner has taken care of all the needs you could require and provided some thoughtful welcome items when we arrived. I can't recommend high enough - just perfect! Thank you Skipper - you've truly created a home away from home we'd be happy to return to one day

Hook cottage was very charming with an awesome walled courtyard/flower garden. It was clean and well decorated. It had everything we needed. Skipper even had breakfast provisions for us. We had an excellent stay.

What can I say, it was fantastic. Everything about the accommodation was just perfect. I have stayed in many other places and this one was just phenomenal . Beautifully designed, extremely clean and just top notch. Communication with Skipper was faultless and there was a welcome pack waiting for us, which was gratefully received , especially the wine after our long drive!
This is a must and if you book you will not be disappointed with either the accommodation or the area. Thank you Skipper our weekend was just perfect!

A gem in Chipping Camden
What a perfect place to stay for a Cotswolds visit. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculate both inside and out. Communication with Skipper the owner was easy and we had a great welcome pack on arrival. The pretty cottage garden was perfect for evening drinks. I can definitely recommend Hook Cottage.

Delighted with this absolutely immaculate property. Also lots of additional touches which were greatly appreciated. Only slight downside is the parking. It is free on the main road but proved difficult to get a space.

Lovely Cotswold Cottage
Hook Cottage was a lovely cosy cottage. We were more than comfortable. The cottage is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the village and has everything you need. Lovely little welcome basket too.

Wonderful, cosy and homely feel to this hideaway, which is only a few steps to the High street. An extremely well equipped cottage with quality fittings. We both felt so at home as soon as we arrived! Definitely want to return.

This is an extremely comfortable cottage. Warm , cosy with all the facilities for self catering you could need. Right in the heart of chipping Camden. Easy free parking on street surrounded by shops and restaurants . We walked from the house and easily joined the Cotswold way, stunning countryside. Thoroughly recommend it.

The cottage was outstandingly clean which is so important in these times and parking in the town is easily achieved at no cost.
The big selling point of the cottage for us was having drinks in the delightful garden in the peace and quiet but a few strides away through a secret passage way you have the fabulous market town of Chipping Campden with plenty of bars ,restaurants and shops.
Overall this is a fabulous covid retreat which we as a family rate as the best we have stayed in giving excellent value for money. Thanks

A step from the highstreet
Through a blue door, down a short corridor, into a calm beautiful walled garden. The cottage is stunning and surprisingly large once inside. The bedrooms are large and everything is sparkling clean.
The village is stunning. We shall return at some point.
