The property is situated in a quite residential location with plenty of street parking if required. A five minute walk into the village and perhaps 7 minutes back as uphill, but not overly strenuous. Vito and his wife are a charming couple who immediately made us feel at home in their well equipped and cared for property. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from if eating out and supermarkets should you wish to eat in. The local beach is relatively small but we preferred 'Spaggia di Cala Cartoe' beach which has better sand, ideal for children, a mobile refreshment stand and clean toilets. It is approximately an half hour drive North of Cala Gonone along a rather exciting drive over the headland and along the coast.

Die Begrüßung und Schlüsselübergabe waren unkompliziert. Vito, der Vermieter reagiert sehr schnell. Wir wurden mit Tiramisu begrüßt. Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Einzig eine bequeme Sitzgelegenheit (Sessel waren abgewohnt) fehlte. Die Wohnung liegt in einer Straße mit weiteren Feinwohnungen. Wir (Paar, Mitte 50) waren im September/Oktober dort, so dass es wenige Urlauber gab und es dadurch relativ ruhig war. Der Strand ist 400m entfernt neben dem Hafen. Der eigentliche Stadtstrand ist fußläufig in 15 -20 Minuten erreichbar. Etwas ärgerlich waren die bellenden Hunde in der Nachbarschaft. Der Bäcker, der an der Ecke sein sollte hatte leider zu. Wir habe uns dennoch gut erholt. Der Ort bietet reichlich Gastronomie und Supermärkte und kann als Startpunkt für Wanderungen oder andere Aktivitäten genutzt werden.

The apartment is a bit dated but has everything you need. In a good spot - you get a good workout on the way home! Vito met us even though we arrived really late and had left us some local cakes for breakfast. Cala Ganone itself is incredible. Great beaches, caves, trekking and culture and the beautiful clear blue water. We would highly recommend hiring a boat for the day. Hope to be back some day.

Die Unterkunft liegt gut, ruhig und doch zentrumsnah. Ausstattung ist gut, es war alles notwendige vorhanden (bis auf Weingläser ,-). Zusätzlich gibt es Heizung und Klimaanlage - beides war nützlich. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war nett und problemlos.

Zentrale und (im Oktober) ruhige Lage, Hafen, Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Ein nachts zuweilen bellender Hund in der Nachbarschaft war der wirklich einzige Negativ-Faktor. Einrichtung einfach und zweckmässig, alles Wichtige ist vorhanden. Sehr sympathischer Empfang, total unkompliziert!

Vollkommen unkomplizierte Gastgeber. Sehr freundlich. Wir hatten keinerlei Probleme. Jederzeit wieder.

It feels very homely with some of the familys belongings (not too many). It is well equipped with everything you would need for a stay. The road is quiet and easy to find when you enter Cala Gonone. It is only minutes from the supermarket, the beach, the bus station and two lovely cafés. You can enjoy a partial view of the mountains from the veranda while having dinner. The owners are very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home (we also were treated to a tiramisu!!!), to make sure we knew how all appliances worked and to provide us with information about the area. I would thoroughly recommend staying at the appartment and commend Lina and Vito Spanu as really reliable and helpful hosts. We had a wonderful time!French:Lappartement dedans était bien protégé du soleil et il était très propre à notre arrivé. On se sent en domicile là-bas grâce à des jolis meubles de la familie (il ny en a pas trop), et on dispose de tout dont on aurait besoin. "We were welcomed late at night by the owners, who had waited for us a long time at the petrol station at Cala Gonone, because our plane was half an hour late. They showed us to their appartment and patiently explained how everything worked in basic Italian and some English, which worked fine for us. The owners are very nice, trustful, easy going people. They had left us delicious tiramisu. The appartment is perfectly located in a quiet spot of Cala Gonone, but very near the center, the harbour, the main road and the supermarket. The veranda/porch provides a lovely spot for breakfast, with a nice view of the mountains and the great big cactus of the next door neighbours. The appartment itself has all that you need for a vacation: good beds, good shower, more than enough room for two adults. We would really recommend it to a couple or a couple with kids. The interior is decorated and furnished in such a way that you feel at home when you return from a day of difficult climbing in the region of Cala Gonone."

'The accommodation was pleasant and clean. The owners use it a lot and this means it has a lot more cooking equipment than many apartments, including a proper oven. It feels like staying in someone's personal holiday home. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The beds were okay but not wonderful. The location is quiet. Shops five minutes walk. Restaurants ten minutes'.

"We had visited Cala Gonone previously, and knew that we wanted to be in a quiet, residential location (i.e. not a holiday complex) and also to be close to everything. This apartment was perfect for us, we could easily walk to the lovely beach and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. We enjoyed the view from the terrace to the mountain range above Cala Gonone. A car is useful to explore the area (the possibilities for hiking are fantastic) but you don't need to drive within Cala Gonone itself from this apartment as there is a supermarket and a lovely local bakery just minutes away on foot. The accommodation was of a high quality, very clean and generously equipped with everything we needed. We were especially delighted to find a home-made Tiramisu in the fridge! The owners were welcoming, and ensured that we had all the information we needed for a worry-free holiday."
