We stayed here with our two small dogs, 13 year old son and 22 year old daughter to visit my daughter studying at Bangor University.
We wanted to be able to visit the places she had seen over the last 4 years, but equally have someone nice to return to in the evening. Llandudno was perfect with many great restaurants and a town large enough to have what we needed.
The property didnt disappoint either - located above the town the views where stunning, perfect to unwind to. The location also gave access to great walks into town, down to the beach or across the Orme. Internet was strong - allowing the Xbox auto parent to keep the teenager sane.
Lee was the perfect host, helping ensure we arrived with a smooth process and found what we needed locally.
Overall - next time visiting North Wales this will be on our short list.

Lovely house with amazing views. Very relaxing holiday home. Lots of nice touches.
Lots of nice welcome touches , home made cake waiting for us. Fresh milk tea and coffee available on arrival. Plus wine and beer in the fridge.
Great well equipped kitchen with lovely view.
Also a nice touch the lights outside on the terrace came on in the evening. Terrace and seating area also very nice.
All other practicalities catered for.

Great little place with stunning views
We chose this holiday cottage as a back up for our Spanish venture which was cancelled due to covid and whilst I had my reservations about heading to North Wales instead - the house and its location really made it for us! As a family of 3 (2 adults and a 10 year old), plus a small pooch, it ticked pretty much all the boxes. The house had a great layout, with everything you could need and Lee was a great host, there when we arrived for any questions, some good walking tips and always quick to respond to a random WhatsApp question.
Bring between the 2 bays and so close to the Great Orme, means you can have a great few days without needing to get in the car, if you enjoy a good walk. Llandudno Town centre wasn't somewhere we would rush to return to on its own (but it did have a couple of nice restaurants) but the stunning views, amazing tea toom next door and great walks from the doors means the house on its own will tempt us back!
My only tips for anyone visiting is due to covid cutlery and crockery is limited, there is enough for 4, which for 3 of us was OK most days but for the odd night we cooked was tricky, so would probably take extra plates and maybe howls if we return. Also takes matches if looking to us the log burner.
Great house, great spot, great host!

Llandudno Gem
Location and views cannot be faulted. It is at the top of quite a steep hill but this only adds to its appeal and provides the all round vistas. The property itself is charming and well maintained. The welcoming ‘goodies’ left in the kitchen are a nice touch. It has an ‘upside down’ layout with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the lounge, kitchen and terrance on the first floor, making the best of the views. It has a super new kitchen and the fixtures and furnishings are of good quality. The general cleaning is to a high standard.
There are however a few areas that require improvement or replacement. These have been discussed with Lee who intends to address them.
The excellent tearoom a few doors along is the icing in the cake.
Overall, this house has everything you could ask for and more.

Amazing views. Great place to stay. Great host.
Although we never got to meet Lee in person due to the current Cornavirus situation he kept it contact with us throughout our stay and was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was great and had the most amazing views! We could have lived out on the terrace! We will make sure to stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Fabulous, cosy, comfortable, well equipped home from home with outstanding views
We were met by Barbara the owners mother on arrival, who showed us around the property and made us most welcome. There were so many delightful little touches: fresh flowers, delicious home made lemon Victoria sandwich cake, prosecco, yogurt, bread, orange juice and milk.
Haulfre Gardens has everything you could want from a fully equipped kitchen, breath taking views of Llandudno Bay from the terrace and a log burner to snuggle in front of.....simply heaven.
Our stay here exceeded our expectations, it looks even better in reality than the online pictures show. It is a cosy, comfortable, clean, well equipped gem of a property, a delight to stay in.
We hope to return and make many more wonderful holiday memories here in the future.

Nothing to complain, great location and cottage
From booking to leaving, everything was professional and handled very well. The cottage was above average and fully worth the money. The water pressure for the cottage is high and care is needed in the shower to allow water to drain away. If you eat on the patio, watch out for seagulls. Lots of people walking past looking at the property, so care in the bedroom room downstairs (make sure curtains are properly closed). Access to the property is by a steep narrow hill, so not good for large cars and cars may be coming down the hill at the same time. In general the cottage, surrounding area and facilities were very good. *AAA*

Wonderful experience
We had a marvelous time at the Haulfre Gardens cottage; by a wide margin it's the best place we've stayed at in Wales. The view is beautiful, and it's a super convenient location for exploring both Llandudno and Snowdonia. The cottage itself is immaculate, with everything one could want; it even has two TV sets so we did not have to argue about who got to choose what to watch on a quiet evening. The patio is a perfect place for lunch or dinner -- totally private with comfortable chairs, a giant sunshade, and of course an even better view. We had a very pleasant conversation with Lee, the owner, and his mother provided a fabulous lemon drizzle cake as part of a thoughtful welcoming package. Simply a great place; we'd love to come back.
