El Tangaro, an authentic traditional Canarian country house ! Perched on a mountain slope and surrounded by nice terraces and subtropical garden, El Tangaro offers breathtaking panoramas of the Hermigua valley, hill ranges as well as the Atlantic Ocean.
Family-owned, El Tangaro, over 200 years old, has been restored while preserving its original layout. The renovation began in 2014. The owners, longtime worldtravelers, decided to give their cottage, a south Pacific touch. La Gomera landscape features have been often compared to the french Polynesian volcanic islands,Tahiti and the Marquesas group. While the building is traditional Gomera stonework, El Tangaro’s interior decoration has been made with natural, high-quality materials using solid wood furniture and parquet floor. The kitchen furniture as well as the bathroom have been created and manufactured by the owners on site. This original home design makes this ’casita’, unique and full of imagination. Every detail has been imagined and selected with care to ensure your comfort, wellbeing and tranquillity.
El Tangaro, 70 square meters living space, opens to a garden and a pergola covered with flowers. It hosts 2 or 3 guests (plus children under 2 years old).

A bathroom, with an unique ocean atmosphere with shower, basin, toilets and washing machine, voltage 220V.
The patio and dining area with table and comfortable armchairs, opens to one of the terraces and the garden. Attached to the patio is the fully equipped kitchen for your outdoor and indoor meals.
Out on the terraces, you might spend a relaxing moment, admire the scenery, read a book or have a nap facing the sea!
You will be wellcomed by the owners , Wolf and Danièle who are living in the house nextby. They are pleased to give you valuable inside information and to help you with the organisation of your journey. English spoken.
"las Nuevitas" is a quiet hamlet 5 to 10 minutes walk to the village center with shops, cafés and the Busstation.Right behind the house you will find the access to some of the most beautiful walks and hikes of la Gomera. The neighbours are respectful and friendly, everybody is greeted with a simple "Hola"

Paco y Angela
