Great communication from the host. Chico, who let us into the apartment, was awesome. The apartment is very large with plenty of room to spread out, and quiet. The keyless entry was a definite bonus (need cellular data to use).

Great location in the old area
This is a nice property in the old area of Barcelona. Terrific location and a cute apartment. It is really walkable to restaurants and attractions. The only issues are pedestrian street it is on (Our taxi from the airport had to drop us a block away) and super slow wifi. The listing also makes it look a little bigger than it really is...the living room area is pretty small.

Great location
Nice apartment in a great location, no living room though so common space is a little cramped.

Fantastic location and great property
We were thrilled with the location and size of the property. It was clean and quiet. We were a group of three couples. The property could comfortably accommodate 10 people (5 couples). The location was ideal.

bad memory of Barcelona
Everywhere was dirty. Air conditioners didn’t work properly. Very very Bad smell in the air specially at stairs. It mentioned in the website that the apartment is in the first floor but it wasn’t and we have to lift our luggage in a very dirty staircase to the second floor. Moreover, the woman who came for check-in was so impolite. After all of that, when we had to check out, there was heavy rain and as we have a little baby, we asked them to let us stay just 2 more hour to weather become better but they didn’t accept. It was the third time that we rent a property using home-away website. The two first time were great, however this time was a very awkward experience

ONCE WE GOT IN, a lovely apartment with old world charm in heart of city
We enjoyed the apartment very much. We did NOT enjoy waiting one hour and 45 minutes in the street for someone to come open it for us after a long day of travel. I estimated (and let you know) that we would be here around 18:30, then called from the taxi that we would be 10 minutes later. I was assured this was ok and was thanked for the call. The agent never arrived; a second agent was called who also never arrived. Finally the maintenance man came and opened up for us. Although he was very nice and helpful, aside from getting the air conditioners on and one TV, there were many things we had to figure out for ourselves. At 22:15 an agent called wanting to come over right then to collect the balance due. This was entirely too late, especially after taking so long to get into the apartment!
I hope some reasonable refund on my credit card for this inconvenience will be forthcoming. Standing in the street for almost two hours (plus the pretty terrible entrance) made some members of our party want to move to another hotel/apartment.
After FINALLY getting inside, we enjoyed the apartment.
A few things would make a big improvement:
•First, the tv remotes didn’t work; some didn’t even have batteries. The only one that worked was the one in the living room.
•Several light bulbs were burned out.
•The back bedroom (on the left) has water damage at the ceiling with vines growing inside the apartment!
•••Having only one key for 7 people does NOT work. At least 3 or 4 keys are necessary.
•The apartment was advertised as having 3 bathrooms, but only TWO had toilets.
•The air conditioner in the master bedroom leaked onto the balcony & street below. The lady who lives below came to complain & said it had been leaking for at least two weeks. We put a pot from the kitchen to catch the water, but thought you would want to be aware.
*The entrance (front door & foyer) needs to be cleaned & painted.
Things that were good:
•Good renovations! The wood floors are beautiful.
•Well appointed kitchen—dishes, etc.
•Very nice to have laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, coffee, etc. This was a welcoming touch—-Thank you!!!
(The coffee pods did not appear to fit the machine, but we made coffee in the older pot.
•Beautiful mosaic floor in bedroom to the right.
•Although we didn’t use it, the terrace is very nice.
•The fans were helpful and very much appreciated in the rooms with no air conditioning.
I hope these comments are helpful to you.

Needs a little work
This property is managed by a large property management company so it lacks personal touch. For example we checked in and we were only given one key. We had seven people in our party! There was a "gift" box that had enough treats for two people. There was No toilet paper on the property! I can say that we called about a broken A?C and it was fixed that day. It's a great property but could use a little more attention since it wasn't particularly inexpensive. Great location although at night it gets edgy on the street.

Barcelona
Great location! The representative met us promptly at the property and provided all the info we needed for our week long stay! The apartment was clean and very comfortable for our family of 5. Loved Barcelona, loved the Gòtic area! Very walkable to everything we wanted/needed to do. Great restaurants and shopping right down the alleys. It seems like a maze at first, but you soon know your way. The area is full of ancient passageways and buildings. Very near the metro, which is easy to use. Would definitely recommend this rental! I would suggest mentioning the number of stairs to reach the apartment, also more towels.

Great location, clean apartment, generally okay
Everything was generally pretty good at this apartment. All the rooms were as described. The location was nice (in the Gothic section). As someone else mentioned, the front entry is a bit creepy, though everything is fine inside.
A few concerns: 1) It took us three days before the apartment was warm enough, 2) the dryer did not spin (quite annoying after of load of wash was done), 3) Maybe I did not read the agreement carefully but new tenants arrived before our check out time. Shouldn't a cleaning crew come in? We left by 11, but who makes the beds for the arriving group?

Great location
Superb location, do not drive here as hard to find and drop people/ luggage off.(walk or take a cab)
Very sketchy entrance and stairwell, but apparently is typical for this area. A little noisy at night but overall great place and good value.

Central location, lots of space
The central location with easy access to both the metro and the airport bus made this apartment a great base to see the city from. The rooms were large. It was a little too cool for us to make use of the terrace (end of November), but I can see it being great for relaxing in warmer weather.
We had 5 adults (1 married couple and 3 singles) and we were very comfortable in the apartment. There was a little more street noise in the front bedrooms than the ones that overlook the courtyard, so lighter sleepers would probably want the back bedrooms, but I'm a heavy sleeper and didn't notice. I was told this by one of our party.
Everyone enjoyed their stay.

Barcelona Gothic
Great location and apartment. Near everything we wanted and could walk easily or take taxi. Gave us the overall Gothic area vibe we were looking for.
However, Taxi from airport was not good. Will not take one again, will take uber instead. Over priced and didn't let us out near apartment. Had to walk 6 blocks. Meter said 39 Euros, charged us 49 Euros and he all of a sudden couldn't speak English.
