The staff were friendly
The carpets in the reception hall and eating areas were old and smelly
The bedroom smelt stale

Geweldige oude herberg. Alles gedateerd maar de sympathieke ontvangst, het decor, de sfeer en restaurant en fantastische bar wogen daar ruimschoots tegenop.
Omdat ik ook online werk te doen had kreeg ik toegang tot prive en snel internet. Top!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had an odd unpleasant smell and since the windows didn't open, no way to air it out. Kristen at the front desk was wonderful. She explained it was the new rugs and switched us to a room with the old rugs.
Continental breakfast was good. The attached restaurant is super convenient and serves decent American cuisine.
The windows in the rooms didn't open. The location is good for a stopover, but there's nowhere to walk to shops, restaurants or parks.

We love the staff, the atmosphere, the games in the hallway area, and that we can walk to great places!
We booked a king size room and ended up with a queen.

This inn has a really cozy feel and the staff is super friendly. The restaurant it’s connected to, The Old Salt, was delicious as well and not super pricy and they have a pretty good variety for the continental breakfast.
The beds were slightly uncomfortable for my preference, but not enough to really bother me.

The continental breakfast was excellent. Good coffee, good pastry, fruit and eggs. Enjoyed every day.
Carpet in room needs replacement.

The gentleman on reception was very good and friendly as were housekeeping staff.
The waiter who served us dinner in the Old Salt Tavern was polite, friendly and did a good job.
Bedroom okay but bathroom absolutely tiny. The pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable.
We were told that Sunday breakfast was between 06.30 and 08.30 as the restaurant served Brunch from 09.00 and so all hotel guests needed to be out of the way by then. Unfriendly staff started removing all the food at 08.25 and making it very obvious that we needed to leave.

Nothing. We loved everything

Our overall experience was great! We stay there in 2014 and found it great staying for a second time.
There was nothing we didn't dislike.

Very comfortable, clean room in historic inn. Many nice touches create a homey feel. Desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our changing dates, and moved us graciously to another room with a quieter heater. Adjacent to famous and delicious restaurant. Very good continental breakfast with yummy pastries.
Breakfast room should not broadcast TV stations with controversial politics. Choose channels with broad appeal, or none at all. Silence is fine--the breakfast room was cozy, and the meal quite good.

Breakfast was in the bar area and festive, fresh fruit, muffins, hard boiled eggs. Bed comfortable and clean but overall the place is dark and bathrooms very small.
Place was a bit dark overall, you could hear your neighbors, need a bright place to sit in the hotel other than the chairs scattered about in the hall/room or the bar/restaurant. It was nice to have access to a gym but you need to drive there. Felt like the inn was an after thought to the bar and restaurant

Location and Breakfast was awesome. We were there during a snow storm, but staff showed up and we were never neglected.
We were in room 53 and had absolutely no view at all. Stained glass non operable windows, and noise from the ventilation system all the time. We never complained but I wouldn't recommend this room to anyone. This is the only reason I didn't rate the Inn as excellent. This is something that should be disclosed when you book the room and at check in. With that kind of inconvenience this room should be half price. Just let people know before they check in of the condition that awaits them. But as I said we never complained...

The breakfast could have offered some herbal teas for those that prefer that and not having tables and chairs for dining would have been good to know the evening before. Then I would have come down and brought my meal up to my room rather than sit next to the check in desk in the lobby. The selection was good.
Shower could have been fuller and a little hotter.

The decor was thematic and nice.
The room was clean, but smelled of cigarettes. Only one night lamp... the lobby is quite nice so I was very disappointed when I saw and stepped into (smelled) the room. The whole room lacked a proper lighting. I had to go to the lobby to read a book.
