Bed very comfy, staff excellent and helpful. Easy check in/out. Good location with regard to transfer to cruise terminal
Location is not the best area, all fast food outlets ,however, did not affect us much as a short stop before a cruise.

Struttura pulita, accogliente e staff molto gentile.
Ottima la cucina che ci ha salvati un paio di sere.
Piscina arredata e attrezzata.
Negozi: farmacia, supermercati e ristoranti ad un minto a piedi
Nella zona troverete tanti homeless.

Spacious room. Nearby parking but we were not a fan of it not being complimentary to guests.
We liked the place until there was an issue fully closing our door so that made us uncomfortable and we were not about it to downgrade our room we specifically requested and be on separate beds in the middle of the night, strands of black hair on our bedsheets and towels when we are both blonde, then bed creeks from every little movement, we were told items can be delivered upon request 24/7 but when we needed something for the bathroom customer service and Mauricio from guest services was unable to fulfill that promise.

Pretty property, large clean comfortable rooms, attentive staff
They like to do everything on-line.
I would never have talked to any staff if I hadn’t requested a room change (which I was given) and gone looking for coke machine (which there isn’t)

I stayed at The Cove Hotel on August 15th in room 203 for what was supposed to be a special birthday weekend with my family, but it turned into a complete disaster. Our experience was marred by a series of appalling issues that left us deeply disappointed and frustrated.
Upon returning from a day of excursions, we were horrified to discover bed bugs in both my bed and my niece’s bed around 11 pm. My niece even had visible bites on her arm. We immediately contacted the front desk, where Mauricio advised us to document the situation with photos and videos. Unfortunately, his assistance ended there. Mauricio offered us either free parking or a breakfast voucher as compensation, which was wholly inadequate given the severity of the situation. His dismissive comment that the bites on my niece's arm looked like hives rather than bites was not only unhelpful but incredibly insensitive.
After we were moved to a different room, we were told that the manager, Deone Dempcy, would contact us the next day. However, Deone never reached out. When I sought him out later that evening, he was short-tempered, rude, and dismissive. His response to our complaint was abrasive; he insisted that past complaints of this nature were irrelevant and rudely cut me off mid-sentence to check in another guest. This behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful, particularly in a hospitality setting.
Deone's claim that he was the highest authority at the hotel and his refusal to engage in a constructive conversation was bewildering. When my niece requested a refund, he simply handed her a partial refund invoice without explanation and walked away. The lack of communication and follow-through was astonishing. He did not follow up with us about the K9 inspection of the room, which he had promised, and in hindsight, it seems he did not even quarantine Room 203 before assigning it to new guests.
This experience was by far the worst I've ever encountered as a frequent traveler.

Clean, lovely staff, rooms furnished well, great location, felt safe with my children.
Nothing, it’s a fabulous hotel.

Nice motel. Not many amenities other than the pool. Clean, reasonably quiet and staff are friendly and helpful.
Only have fast food restaurants in area. But very easy to drive to downtown Long Beach.

Staff was very friendly & welcoming.
- I locked myself out of my room, they were kind enough to issue me new keys.
- I needed food/drink during hours in which the lounge was closed, they served me anyway.
Lounge / pool area very enjoyable.
- my kids loved it
- area clean
- places to lounge, hang out, relax
Not a huge hotel
- only 2 floors, small enough that I felt comfortable sending my 6yo to our parents room on his own (down the hall)
Many fast food places / groceries stores within walking distance for quick and easy food pick up.
The location of hotel wasn’t ideal. Though close to many food spots, very busy street. Noisy at night. Police sirens almost every night. Easy to miss drive way entrance.

The room was spacious and had plentiful accommodations. There was a fridge, microwave, iron, robes, hair dryer, coffee maker...everything you might need for a one night stay. The beds were comfortable but not life changing. The bathroom had good lighting, and space. Stayed for an anniversary, and the hosts were very welcoming, and even had a little gift and card in the room upon arrival! A nice touch! Location was great as we went to the Catalina Express the next morning instead of fighting traffic.
The shower pressure could have been better, and the heat as well. It was warm, but never HOT. For the size of the shower, the next level up would have been better pressure, more heat, and maybe some better soaps.

I love the decor.. I felt a lot of care was given into making sure the rooms had everything needed for a nice guest experience.
My room was not ready, and I was given a room that was not what I had requested and paid for.. Also, my room was not serviced after I arrived, even though my visit was short. I would have also enjoyed a more detailed menu in the lounge since the hotel does not have a full restaurant.

The room was large and comfortable. Convenient location to ferry.
It had a nice pool & courtyard area, but we arrived after 7pm and left by 8am so could not take advantage of it.
We were aware that parking was an additional fee, but felt it was not necessary especially since the spaces were so tight.

Staff was very friendly! Loved the bath and body works in the restroom. They also had a bible and pretty ribbon made out of washcloths! Loved it! Also bathroom and room were beautiful!
No jacuzzi, or instructions for coffee machine.

Very clean. Nice amenities amd the room was really spacious. The shower and bathroom were amazing.
The bed was super squeaky and the walls were pretty thin. We could hear our neighbors and no one was observing the quiet hours policy.

The hotel was beautiful, and we enjoyed the courtyard/pool area. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Bryan, in the bar/restaurant was awesome!! Just started the job a few weeks ago and was so friendly and personable.
It took forever for the water to get hot in the shower, which was annoying. Also, the location of the hotel was not ideal. The area is really run down, however once you're inside the hotel it's beautiful. We were a little worried about parking since it's open (not behind a gate or monitored by security, however in the 3 nights there we had no issues. Definitely don't leave anything in your car and lock the doors.

Clean and staff does a good job on making sure that grounds are secure and non-hotel residents aren’t loitering around. Pool area and inside of hotel are maintained and have a nice appearance.
Outside appearance rather demure. Daily parking fee of $13 which seems unnecessary considering what you pay to stay there. No frills!

Sound level in room. Could hear conversation of neighbor through adjoining door. Constant loud scraping on floor from second floor above room.

Front desk staff. Upon my arrival, the front desk was training a new customer service agent. Immediately, they stopped to assist me with a BIG smile and warm welcome. Yes, the room was nice, the place was clean, and the restaurant had great offerings, yet, there is not anything like a warm and friendly hospitality greeting!
Both ladies began conversing with me as if they had known me forever. I needed a notepad for my conference- they got one for me. I asked for trash clean-up service, and within 5 minutes, housekeeping was in my room.
And the location, there are no less than 15 diners within a 0000.1-mile radius. Everything that a guest would need is near.
I am not sure why this hotel, the Cove is not rated 5 stars!
If I could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the pool and the ambiance of the Cove.

Clean, calm, very nice staff.
One of the nights, rude children in the pool. Nothing to do with staff or facility

This hotel was beautiful it was like I went it an island in another country. The guy at the desk was really helpful and nice. We checked in too late to get in the pool but I’m planning to come back just for the pool and bar !
Everything was great !!

I drove up to the property and turned around to book something else. The pictures of the property on the website look amazing, they are very misleading as to what you are going to get. It is a motel (not a boutique hotel!)has been remodeled and also in the middle of a shopping center with a grocery store, busy street etc. I was disappointed as I felt the website and pictures did not display and accurate representation of the property.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Everything very clean. Had to re-book my last night because of very early flight from LAX and that was not a problem. They were very helpful.
neighbourhood isn’t the best of the best (it’s not very attractive as a neighbourhood) but i had no trouble.
