Front desk personnel had an attitude. Seems to be upset at the world or as if was a free stay.

The room was clean.
On Booking.com it was stated that breakfast was included. However at the hotel they have sighs that state that the breakfast service has been suspended due COVID. Thia suspension has been in effect for an extended period. Therefore it would be better if the customer was told this before they make a booking on Booking.com rather than after they arrive at the hotel.
The other negative aspect about this hotel is that the staff are not friendly and inviting in a manner that is expected at hotels. On arrival the customer is made to feel unwelcome. Only after the guest makes an effort to be friendly and conscientious does the staff member then make an effort to welcome the guest.
I wanted to check out early and politely asked if the hotel could store a bad for the morning. The staff member at the time completely refused to go out of his way in the slightest to assist and simply stated that space was not available. Whilst I admit that space may have been limited I do accept that the staff member was unable to assist. I suggest that this particular staff member not be involved in a customer service role.

the property itself was very sloppy and the renovation work poorly done.

The bathroom was upgraded and clean
The room looked very old and outdated. It didn't look like the picture on the website. I asked for a non smoking room, and my room smelled like cigarettes. The carpet look old and dirty

The place did not feel safe, I stayed for 30min and booked a different hotel. I am hoping that this hotel credits my card back but I have not seen any evidence of that. The door to my room felt insecure, the room smelled like toxic chemical air freshener, and they put me in a room that was out of sight of the office or any time of secure situation. I should add that this is located in a super sketchy neighborhood.
The check in process was about as rude as any I had ever experienced. The hotel manager treated me like dirt, demanded my documents, I had to push them thorugh a small card slot, as he was seated behind bulletproof glass. It took me all of 15 minutes to decide to cancel. When I told him, he gave me a look like he wanted to hit me. He told me my card was credited, but no paper receipts, and I see no evidence of that, two days later. I am hoping he does the right thing.

Flowers that lined the parking lot were pretty
There was poop on a folded towel there was ZERO cold water in room 119. Either scalding or boiling. There was evidence of crack use in the room which a vacuum would've taken of. Really rude owners/workers. DIRTY ROOMS and roaches crawling on the wall. Not EVER will I stay again OR recommend to anyone. 122$ for that place is disgraceful.
