Ok stay after being ripped off

I have stayed at royal Inn on three occasions and each time I have paid $35 security deposit and told it will be returned within 1 hour after checkout...(the deposit was charged as a sale instead of a hold) and never returned to me after staff assured me and insisted I would receive a full refund because I left my room in excellent condition at checkout....that's $105 I should have received weeks ago....so just beware of the "deposit scam" they are using

It was not great.

It wasn’t very clean. some of the furniture was sticky. The internet was so bad I had to refund the money to my student for our zoom lesson. I also haven’t gotten my deposit back yet.

Nothing about the hotel was pleasing. Very run down and everywhere you turned had a bad smell. Bed was laid on cinderblocks, dirty bed and bed sheets. Rooms had bugs in them, hallways smelled like cigarettes even thought there is a no smoking policy.

Don't judge a book by its cover

The fact that they are flexible about what time you can pay. They work with you and are nice about it. The lady running it is very nice and personable.

Weird Motel

Interior was clean. All the electric, all the plumbing and the heat/air worked as they should. I found no bugs, and saw no cigarette burns. The bathroom sink, the tub and the fixtures seemed new.

The exterior looked as if an abandoned motel had been bought and renovation of the place was only half completed (December, 2022). wiring was looped near roof line, buckets and ladders were left around, the black iron stairs looked old and tired and an old dresser was stored in the exterior hall in plain sight. The pool was filled to its top with dirt as if it will become just a grassy open space. Check-in was ridiculous—one has to deal with a headset-wearing woman remotely through a kiosk monitor. Then, customers are reminded to return the door key card because “new technology is expensive”! (They buy something unnecessary, then have customers worry about it??!!) I like to have a real person check me in—you know, hospitality and all that…

it was dirty, smell like mold and what the other smells were? Bottom line it was not what was shown in the website and was not healthy to stay there. If there is a score less than 0 that would be to high for there.

thoroughly discussed

Booked a room. Rate changed, $32.00 USD more. Was lied to about City Tax. I showed them there was no such thing in the state of Indiana. I am a Disabled Combat Veteran and believe I was discriminated against. I have a hard copy of my bill and plan on forwarding it to the AG's office in Indiana State Building. The research is thorough. This kind of thing should not be anywhere within the hospitality industry. Best regards, Captain Paul Hitt

Nothing. The room seemed dirty. There were a few Bugs that traveled across the wall. It was not sanitary at all. Only the hot water worked in the bathroom sink
