Fulfilled the purpose of the visit very well

Located within walking distance of Northwestern University, Hilton Garden Inn is the perfect place to stay when visiting your student. We loved that the room configuration was such that two adults and two children could comfortably stay in the same room.

The access road leading to the property, sometimes feels unsafe at night.

Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van het centrum. Het personeel was behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Onze hoekkamer was heerlijk ruim.

Het ontbijt was een tegenvaller. Na één keer verder buiten het hotel ontbeten.

The reasonable price, cleanliness, and the comfortable bed and pillows, were great!!

The parking garage was only accessible from the street. In the winter or bad weather, it would have been a problem. Also, the signage was not good on the building. It was not obvious which way to turn to go to the hotel entrance. A sign for the hotel visible when exiting the garage would have been very helpful.

Evanston is a nice university town. Loved the ambiance/vibe.

Free water was a bonus. The parking was very inexpensive and also liked in/out privileges. Also liked that many places to visit were within walking distance.

The price of snacks was a little extreme.

Nice hotel

More than decent hotel, clean, with staff overall friendly and helpful, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee/tea regularly replaced, and a useful microwave in the room. I didn't try the breakfast, which is paid for separately. Prices are in line for the area. I found this Hilton much better in all respects (personnel, facilities,, cleanliness) than the other Hilton nearby, where I have also stayed a couple of times. If back in Evanston, I will certainly choose the Garden Inn again.

* Large rooms * Conveniently located, close to shops and restaurants, 15mins walk from lakeside and Northwestern campus * Fitness centre of adequate size

* Room cleaners didn't stop by on the first day; after letting reception know, they did the following days * A little pricey

Big rooms, well equipped and clean.

The AC was extremely loud. Maybe I'm just not used to the American AC, but I had to turn it off to be able to sleep.

The front desk is always right. Do not challenge them.

The location is good.

While doing the dry wash for the clothes, one item was missing. The front desk’s attitude was passive and didn’t leave me any messages as he guaranteed. At last he said it has been found but I have to pay for the shipping label to get my clothes back. It’s a hotel that ask customers to pay for their faults.

Don’t beg that the hotel staffs are reachable and will solve your problems.

The breakfast is with variety.

We had tried to contact the hotel a lot of times before arrival because our 4-day stay has been made into several different orders and we’d like to make sure that our stay will be smooth here. But the front desk is not reachable, even if we asked Booking.com’s help, the answer is still the same. There was one time that we tried to ask some questions regarding the conference room reservations through phone and there came a man Alexis, said that he will help us to convey the information to the front desk. But nothing was delivered eventually. It is a hotel that could not help you to solve customers’ problems.

Devin was great, very friendly, and helpful on our check-in. The pool and hot tub were clean and fun. It was a great stay at a very nice hotel

Convenient hotel close to the center of Evanstone. Facilities are reasonably ok, reception staff is helpful. Room are large and clean, temperature is easy to control, and bed is of good quality. Complimentary toiletry is provided including body lotion that in winter is very appreciated. The express cooked breakfast is acceptable.

Breakfast buffet is poor to very poor, with minimum options and minimum quantities. Fruit were fresh at the beginning but never changed, so bananas became dark with days. First day muffins were dry and stale. 4 waiters rotates one per day, the 3 ladies were efficient, very helpful and kind, the man did not want to be there and provided a disappointing service.

When I told the front desk I was overcharged for the room they said "I should have told them the price when I checked in."
