Excellent 🔥❤️

Le Marshlands Inn est un hôtel assez génial. C est un voyage dans le temps que nous propose la direction. Les chambres sont très bien entretenues et elles sont d epoque ❤️ le personnel très gentil, on y dort bien, on y est bien reçu. Le restaurant pour le repas et petit dej est de qualité. Merci beaucoup pour ce moment Si un jour nous repassons à Sackville, nous aurons plaisir à revenir au Marshlands Inn.

Bad, would not stay again due to lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and poor customer service.

Location was good, outside of house/garden was beautiful. Didn't mind the quirky decor with all the Victorian dolls everywhere.

Our bathroom had either NOT BEEN CLEANED or the person cleaning it didn't do a good job. There was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the door. Questionable gunk on the shower shelf, white plaster dust from the ceiling in a pile on the bathroom floor, the shelf above the sink needed to be vacuumed, it was full of dust and crumbs, moldy shower curtain, and there was brown splatter on the wall as well as a squished bug. I took photos of all of this. We arrived at 10pm after driving/ferrying since 6am so we were too exhausted to complain. In the morning I brought all this up to the man at the front desk and instead of offering a discount or something, all he said was "thanks for your comments." When I mentioned the dirty towel, he seemed to acknowledge that had been happening regularly.

Disappointing

Location was ok except too close to nighttime trains that sounded horns at multiple road crossings

Very loud AC. Dining room closed for dinner and breakfast with no mention on website. Staff unhelpful and dismissive

Period property and quirky

The property was close to the very small town centre.

The staff member I interacted with didn't seem like he wanted to deal with any of the issues - there were a few ranging from the Internet stopping to a potential smell of gas. There were a lot of dolls around the building, which I found strange.

My wife said it was her favourite stop so far on trip.

Good for a short stay

Room was small, but cozy and comfortable. As it was snowy weather, it was fine for the stay. Had paid breakfast and it was delicious.

Room should have a microwave and kettle so that one can have hot food / tea or coffee whenever the guests like.

Marshlands Historical home

Close to everything. I cycled the town. Big back yard with chairs, picnic area. The decor!!! Wifi.

Not much here....I like a fire pit with seating in that gorgeous, quiet, scenic back yard. Some dust bunnies un my room. Turn fridge on before guest arrives. I travelled with a big cooler. No microwave or coffee , kettle access.

Disappointing

Np breakfast!

When we checked in (before 5 p.m.), I asked whether we needed a reservation for dinner at the inn. The woman at the desk replied that no reservation was necessary. After we had gone to our room, I decided to check further with her to see if there was a busy time we should avoid, so I walked back over to her office. I was told that any time was fine. When we arrived at the dining room about 7 p.m., the young man waiting on about 4-5 tables told us that they were full for the evening. When I expressed surprise, he was unapologetic, but did say that they only had one person in the kitchen to do the cooking and serving. He gave us directions to a couple of local restaurants, but didn't seem the least concerned that we were upset. The woman who checked us in was nowhere to be seen. It was just such a bizzarre experience. I would also comment that Bookings.com's description of the inn's "timeless antiques" is a bit of an exaggeration, in my mind. Perhaps I just don't appreciate Victoriana all that much, but it felt more like clutter than decoration to me.

Disappointing.

The veranda was very inviting but we were not dressed warm enough to enjoy. Dinner was lovely.

To many curtains, and didn’t like the carpeting on the wall. The chair in our room was quite rickety. We took a ton of time to figure out how to use the tv and then there were hardly any options to choose from to watch.
