The receptionist is the most unfriendly person on earth. There were leaves all over various floors of the building. Pool very small.

The room was a decent size, the hotel lobby was beautifully decorated.
Unfortunately, the room was not clean. Hair was everywhere - on the floor, the shower, even stuck to the blow dryer. It was quite disturbing. For the price of the room, and the reputation of Hilton, you would expect reliable service.
Also, we booked through booking.com. The front desk staff member was unable to find our reservation and instead of trying to help us figure it out, she rudely stated, "Are you sure you're in the right place?" Placing the blame on us. We luckily had someone else step in to help us and she was very lovely.

The location was perfect for walking to the aquarium and olde mystic village, and close to everything else too. The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was a little small for 3 of us but we loved the Crabtree and Evelyn products, and the lobby shop was available for anything we'd forgotten. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful, they had snacks for kids and props in the lobby for photos. We loved having the pool and the restaurant had good food, great service.
The layout of the hotel was a little confusing our room was far from the elevator and we kept getting turned around. Nothing in the room or on the TV or app told me room service was available, only when I saw another room get a delivery did I realize. I wouldve appreciated an old school written guide to amenities and local attractions.

Location
Sink in our bathroom backed up and smelled like sewage, no housekeeping our entire visit (3nights), pool was extremely cloudy (seemed like a filter issue) and cold (someone said the heater was broken).

Comfortable bed, Christine and waitress at the Irons.
Food at restaurant was awful, got hurt getting in and out of jet tub, allergic reaction to pillowcases/sheets. Not what I expected from Hilton.

Super clean, super friendly staff. Movie in the pool for the kids was a major plus!
Nobody informed us that the pool would be closed in the morning for renovations. We stayed at the Hilton to use the pool so the kids were sad when we couldn’t use it a second time.

Semi convenient. Spacious room.
Beds in double are super small.... I shared with my 9yr old (there for cheer competition at Foxwoods) & we were still super cramped in the bed. What happened 2 queen size double?...is this not a thing anymore? Room was very spacious but not super clean...my friend lost her diamond earrings there so we were really digging around for it (never found) & really saw how unclean the room actually was once we started pulling stuff out. Also WHY is the trash can the size of my 6.5 sneakers? One in the common area & one mini in the bathroom..... We were there for 2 days & in the first hour the trash can was completely full. Bigger trash cans are needed in rooms or please leave extra trash bags....Also my top blanket on my bed had a bunch of random blue stains all of it...for the price we paid for 2 nights (almost $700 which I get is normal now...inflation) we wouldn't have expected clumbs of someone else's hair under the sink & stains on our sheets. Beds are SUPER STIFF & HARD.

Loved the location
The pool was packed with kids and seemed dirty, there were very limited towels available. Also one of the days we went down to the pool at 12pm to swim. We were there for about 15 minutes then someone came to tell us the pool was closed because it needed to be cleaned (due to unsafe levels). He said there was a sign on the door. I personally didn’t see a sign as I’m usually frantically trying to scan my key card so my excited kids can get in. In the future, I would like to see a cone or something that acts as more of a semi-barricade to the door forcing people to stop and see what’s going on/read a sign before entering. There were multiple families swimming in a pool that was deemed unsafe. You have small children who usually get water in their mouth, etc.

No room service

The decor was wonderful
The room had other people’s hair everywhere, the mattress in the king room was hard as a rock, the room was small for the price, breakfast was expensive and not very good. Mini fridge had no freezer.

I did not like that when we checked in our room i stepped on a shard of glass. My toddlers were barefoot and could of gotten hurt. glass all over floor, maid seemed annoyed to come vacuum like it was my fault. Not to mention, fire alarm went off numerous times, heard it happens often due to humidity. Pool and pool area needed a serious cleaning as well.

The iron restaurant was the best part of the stay to be honest.
Well I have a small list of things first the price for one night is in sane. But I wouldn’t have mind paying the price of the hotel was up to standard. Room 312 had a lot of cosmetic issue everything from ripped windows curtains to dirty air vents also there was a iron burn mark on the carpet next to the bed. Witch had high ridges and cut my foot. Also the bath tube was a jacuzzi tube and it did not work the water kept draining when it was supposed to be locked to hold water the air vent in the bath room is gross and filled with dust the thermostat is loose and crooked also the tube was very dirty when I tried to fill it I noticed hairs come to the surface. Over all I was not to happy with my experience and for the price I will not stay there again. I’m convinced no one will read this and nothing will be done but if I can save some one the headache from this place at least that will help.

The Location couldn't be beat, and the outdoor patio/fire pit area is a great bonus.
The Pool was very small, didn't seem very clean - it was a disappointment for such a large 'family centered' hotel. The kid activities also took place in the pool... such as movie night. Which was a fail. You couldn't hear the movie, or see it, as it was played on a wall near the ceiling, and the pool was still being used.

Excellent staff! Clean and comfy. Ideal location.
TV problem - channels on live tv were stuck on one photo but played sound. (Didn't take the time to report.)

the parking situation … we parked very far and wish more exits were available closer maybe valet service

Very kid friendly.
That while I’m sitting in my room I could hear the room above me urinating in their bathroom. Even using the hotel Wi-Fi I still couldn’t get service on my phone or even on the hotel TV. Not being told I had to request room service! after spending over $900 for 2 nights I would expect garbages to be emptied and clean towels. then when I called the front desk to have just these 2 things done 4 hours later they never came I had to call again, and that is when I finally complained about all issues. All issues I realize aren’t sever, however also not worth $923.00 this should have been a $400. -$500. stay.

We were within walking distance of all of our locations. The staff was very welcoming. We loved the restaurant that was in the hotel it had great food.
When we got there they did not have our booking and when they gave us a room it was right next to the pool so we were up all night and morning hearing kids scream. The air conditioning was also very loud and did not work properly.

people/children opening and shutting the doors constantly.

perfect location and had all the amenities we wanted
I felt that the pool was chilly and that our bathroom was in desperate need of updating or replacing the broken fixtures . also the mold stains in the grout could have been taken care of with some Clorox

The people who work there are nice
had to switch rooms, first room toilet was loose to the floor, second room bathroom mirror light problem, shower head loose in the wall. had to turn the heat to 77 for the room to be 68. pool was cloudy for the entire 3 day stay. not impressed with the facility but the people who work there are very nice.
