A very satisfying stay.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff was exemplary. The location, beside the rapids on the Rivière Noire, gave us a white noise which added to our experience.

Excellent!

We just looked for a place to spend a night since we knew we would arrive late and leave early. so when we searched on Booking.com we looked for the price and didn’t care much about the room. But as we arrived the motel, we regreted that we couldn’t arrive earlier. The room is really clean and beds are really comfortable. The view is beautiful we wish we had time sitting in front of the river to have our breakfast or dinner there. I have already sent the pictures of this motel to my friends and family

The most vivid impression of our entire stay in Canada! Many thanks to the lovely hosts for their hospitality! Large room, perfect cleanliness, cute design, comfortable beds, everything you need! The view from the room is a postcard! There is a garden house where it is ideal to enjoy morning coffee or evening tea by candlelight in cozy blankets! Our biggest mistake - we only stayed one night... We didn't have time to use the fully equipped BBQ kitchen and enjoy our time here! We saw whales!!! Thanks for your advice on where to take the tour! Thank you for finding our document wallet! We will dream to come again! God bless you!

From the serene and scenic surroundings to the warm and welcoming hosts, everything about this hotel is worth every penny spent. The hosts were very nice and cooperative, treating their guests like family. They went the extra mile to ensure that their guests had a comfortable stay. It was my 30th birthday when we were checking out. The hosts celebrated the day with me and my friends and gifted me a bottle of red wine, on departure. This shows a lot about how much they care about their guests. The hotel also had some great outdoor facilities, like the bbq grill, hammocks, outdoor sitting area to enjoy the majestic st Lawrence river. These added an extra layer of fun to our stay. The rooms were very clean and organised, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Overall, Motel Gentilhommiere is an excellent place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, serene, and scenic hotel near the St Lawrence River. It was a pleasure being here and left me with beautiful memories. Thanks alot Claude & Genevieve

Perfect for what we needed along our route in rural Quebec.

We did not do breakfast. The location is along a beautiful stretch of the St. Lawrence waterway, but is tucked into a cul-de-sac and is not easily accessible to other places by walking. All staff were very nice and helpful!

See whales in comfort!

As on cue, the whales showed their splendor when we pulled into the hotel parking lot. And it only got better! Genevieve and Claude were wonderful hosts..helpful and kind. They have a number of board games available, but they invited us to play a Norse lawn bowling game with them…such fun! We went kayaking right in front of the hotel, too. Plenty of room outside on the lawn with chairs, tables and a grill, if you need one. Our room was more than spacious. When heading this way again, we will be back here to stay.

This stay exceeded expectations and is a great value.

Perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy this stunning region of Quebec. Genevieve and Claude were friendly, gracious hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The historic mansion is charming and the outdoor terrace has many comfortable seats to sit for hours and soak up the scenery. Lots of games and sports equipment to keep the kiddos happy as well. And did I mention the freshly baked cookies and muffins?! This motel is fantastique! We can’t wait to come back.

Very good

. We felt very welcome. Despite being an older building it was neat and clean and wel l taken care of. The couple running the place were warm welcoming and comfortable and quick to rrespond to requests and they expressed concern that a crying baby may have been disturbing but we have 4 grandchildren and didn,t notice. They were up early drying seats outside and getting the days going ,.There always helpful, charming and generous. We didn't,t speak very good french and they let us practice and we're very knind. With theirgem their feedback. I learned so much. Wharmt was an exceptional surprise were the well kept yards with the water running over rocks all night that were so soothing. What an amazing surprise for us only concern when we arrived was that the parking lot didn't look inviting. It was until you got settled in and could listen to the water on the rocks was amazing. An older facilities v Very clean, people were amazing. The entrance need some charm. Would be great to find a good.

A better entrance to make out more pleasant when you drive in. Needed breakfast at 7 because we had to get to places early

Wonderful stay at Motel Gentilhommiere

Such a beautiful location! The motel had so much character. Our room was recently renovated, lots of room for us. The level of cleanliness was outstanding!! The host/front desk manager was amazing! We do not speak French very well and she made us feel at home, greeting us each day and coming to talk to us as we sat in the Muskoka chairs overlooking the river relaxing after a day of touring. We even ate dinner at the outdoor tables one evening. The view to the river - gorgeous! We enjoyed walking on the rocks to just sit or keep going down to the beach. Perfect home base for exploring this beautiful area of Quebec. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!!

We had booked last minute on our way back from Labrador and wasn’t very pleasantly satisfied with this motel .It had all amenities you need and great location.We had more time to enjoy what this property had to offer we will definitely rebook again.The lady that owned the property had greeted us and we found her to be very friendly and helpful
