The location was central, we were able to travel to Nanaimo, and Courtenay easily and in a timely manner but also able to enjoy Parksville too. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a double pull out couch that my linebacker son said was comfortable.
The exterior could be cleaner, there were huge spider webs everywhere. The tub was also slippery but we could not find a non slip tub mat or stickers. The tub was deep and had jets though in both rooms we had.

We stayed a year ago, and the place felt a bit more deserted. This year, it was great to see the restaurant open, more staff, and more vacationers.
The view is amazing

The Beach View areas
The room is not clean, we found fries under the furniture. The room is old and kinda smelly

Nice and relaxed spot but super bummed they got rid of the oceanfront hot tub. That’s truly what this place needs. Restaurant was just alright too.

Definitely need air conditioning it was uncomfortable to sit in the room and could use some upgrading in the suite.

It's quiet. There is a nice swimming pool. The restaurant is open. The grounds are lovely. The staff is pleasant. There is a little convenience that sells water.
Would like the restaurant to have some vegan offers. Maybe next year the spa will be open. The little convenience could carry more items besides snacks like small containers of white milk.

Property- the beach and outdoor pools!
No AC in unit (arrived 3rd floor SO hot!) Bed was rock hard and super uncomfortable. The room was dark and very outdated.

The property accepted pets. The room was easily accessible.
The room did not reflect the picture online. The room was an add-on space to a suite. It was dark, had no airflow, and no view. I was told there is a fan in the closet. There were no windows that could be opened. It was the bare minimum of a room. The location is far from everywhere.

The location and amenities. Also enjoyed the shower upgrades. Love that we can bring our dog!
Rooms could have been a bit more dialled in terms of paint chips/nicks and updated a microwave.

We found the bed to be a little too hard.

Great location, rooms, facilities, and staff!
Our room had an adjoining door to another (locked of course) but the soundproofing wasn’t great.

A bit sore from the bed. Adjoining room sound quite loud.

the hot tub
The room. It was extremely loud, like we were sharing a room with the people next door.

The room was clean however all rooms are connected to another room. I asked for a kitchen and a jacuzzi tub instead I got a bachelor no kitchen no cooking facilities and a stand-up shower. When I approached the staff upon changing to a upgraded room they were extremely rude and told me there was no way to help me even though upon checking into availability and seeing that there was a few available the following day, and still refused my request.
The security was called to my room due myself and my husband whom was very sick4. disagreeing on something out neighbour called called the front desk and the security guard was extremely rude when I tried to explain to him we had a disagreement which had since been resolved he threatened to kick us out on the street and it was before 11:00 p.m.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The underground parking was good.
Cobwebs over the door frame and a spider chilling near the door.

proximity to ocean
This pet-friendly room was dark with a patio that was closed in and depressing. People with pets in adjoining rooms generated noise.
