The staff service was impeccable. It is one of the kindest staff that I have ever experienced.
The elevators were not functioning properly. My family of four got stuck on the elevator for 15 minutes. Although the engineering staff worked intensely to get pry the doors open, it created a sense of anxiety for my entire family every time that we had to take the elevator afterward. The TV dis not work properly. The maintenance came to the room and changed the batteries, and it still barely worked. The maintenanceststed that he felt like it was the TV and not the remote, but he never replaced the TV. The air condition was not cooling properly. The room felt warm and the entire 6 days. Last but definitely not least, we had to ask for new towels each day. After the first night stay, housekeeping did not stop by our room to verify if we needed them or if er needed our room cleaned. Although the staff was super kind, this was the first time that we experienced issues to this degree while staying at the Sheraton chain.

I appreciated all of the natural light, and the pillows were so soft! Wifi was also much faster than expected. I chose this Sheraton because the cost of the hotel near our convention center was very pricey, and this place definitely seemed to be the best bang for our buck without being too far away from the convention center. This Sheraton is also very close to Mitsuwa Marketplace, which is an Authentic Japanese marketplace with lots of very neat foods, snacks and drinks! Totally recommend stopping there :)
Our room was extremely cold; turning up our thermostat did absolutely nothing :/ I understand that we should've told front desk about this during our stay, but we were so busy that about the only times we were at the hotel were dinner time, sleep time and early morning. Still, it made going to bed rather difficult, so we just wrapped ourselves in a heap of blankets. I did end up getting a very sore throat and runny rose, but I'm not actually sure if it was the coldness of the room or just catching someone else's sickness at our convention. Maybe both? Either way, the cold room wasn't pleasant, and I do wonder if there's a way to check if the thermostat works before guests come.
The fire alarm also went off at 1:30AM one of those nights, which I don't think I can really blame Sheraton for, but it was hard to know whether it was a false alarm, or someone pulled it accidentally, or if there was actually a fire. However, I don't really know how communication on that could've been improved on their part, so it's probably safe to assume that this isn't a common occurrence when people stay here.
I think my main grievance here is with my sleep quality. Don't get me wrong-- the beds were SUPER comfy. However, the bitter cold and false fire alarm made it harder to enjoy the comforts of the bed.
In the future, I'd request to not get room 248 unless the thermostat/heat/air conditioning is fixed. However, I do feel bad saying this, as I should've told front desk about it right away.
Overall, I'm still glad I got to stay here!

Staff was great and accommodating and helpful.
Lots of broken thing in the room. Sink coming apart, dresser handle broken, toilet paper holder broken. Beds full size and not queen size. Facility down to 1 elevator and all stairs goes outside and not to the lobby.

Spacious room/suite that was nice and clean. Ample free parking available.
The location is a little off the beaten path. The hallways are a bit dated, and the wifi was spotty.

The room was spacious, the pillows were so soft, and the shower was heavenly! We had space to chill in the small living area and were able to sleep comfortably with a tv and nice window in our room.
the bathroom was a little small for two people to get ready, but the multiple mirrors throughout the room made up for it!

The staff was extremely polite as well as extremely helpful. They went above and beyond my expectations. I generally make at least one trip to Chicago every year. I have made a tradition of spending Thanksgiving in Chicago on a yearly basis as well as visiting in the summer when possible. When I stay for more than a day I usually always stay at the Sheraton Suites in Elk Grove Village. I highly recommend everyone to give it a chance. By far the best hotel for a family spending a few days or longer. I have stayed in similar hotels like the Hilton Home 2 Suites, they are nice and make you feel at home also, but the Sheraton Suites are able to set the selves apart from the competition with their layout of the rooms among other accomodations. The restaurant is amazing also!
I shall leave this part blank, being that I cannot find ANYTHING to complain about.

The bed skirts were awful and dirty. It was sort of gross. The faucet handles on the bathroom sink were loose. I didn't happen to see the sign stating that there was no food allowed in the pool area. Honest mistake... one of the engineers approached my husband the told him we cannot book rooms at the hotel anymore due to this. He was very rude. He also wasn't a manager and no manager even stated this to us, beyond the fact that we couldn't have food in the pool area. Quite honestly, it's my opinion that with all the tables available in the pool area it shouldn't be an issue.

Close to work.
Chicago can be cold in mid-October, autumn nights, yet the property does not offer central heat in the room.
