A faire absolument !!

Trapper-Feeling pur!

It was a lovely stay in nature !
Michel was able to guide us for nice hikes, he also offered us to go kayaking departing from his terrain. The boat ride to see the beavers was lovely - he really has an eye to see them.
The housing was very nice.
We did one evening in a tipi and one evening in the 'le trappeur' chalet.
The tipi is lovely, you can get away from the city - no electricity, just the noise of the stream and a camp fire.
The chalet is also very nice - electricity inside and hot plates to cook. You still feel in the woods.
It was overall a very nice stay. Would love to come back again.
Nothing. Not enough time we got to spend there.

Good location near road and river. You can use cayaks for free. Atmospheric place. Night in wigwam near creek. Fresh air. Friendly host.
If you love comfort of hotel it's not the place for you.

Everything, especially the boat ride to see the beavers. Michel was very helpful and gave us a lot of tips for the rest of our trip. All around exceptional!

The host Michel is informative and welcoming. Helped us a lot with everything we need.
We enjoyed the beaver sanctuary tour. We saw some beavers and view was magnific!
My kids enjoyed our stay, they have kayaks and can swim in the lake all included during the stay.
Best to call Michel directly for reservation.

Michel was nothing but kind to us. The little village of chalets and campsites he has built is so lovely and it’s nice that there is a communal campfire for dinner every night. Merci beaucoup michel!

The owner was very nice. The animals on the property were cute.
I only stayed 4 hours then left the property. The cabin did not have a lock on the door. I didn't feel safe knowing anyone could walk in. The wood stove kept the cabin incredibly hot. I let the fire burn out but still suffered 2 asthma attacks from the burning wood smell that built up in the cabin.

Friendly and very helpful host.
The yourt is verycomfortable.
Noisy road.

I searched on the internet for a remarkable experience in Quebec. I Don't Remember exactly how but I found this place. We were happy to discover that we are the first Israelis there.
The place is amazing! Michael is the best host that we ever met.
Absolutely the best money that we paid on our trip.
we feel at home and it was an experience that we won't forget ever!
Thank you, Michael!
Actually, we didn't find something that we didnt like. but it can better if Michael can learn basic English in order to talk with people that don't talk French.

This place is the best you can choose if you're travelling around Quebec and want to live the real authentic experience in contact with nature.
We slept 2 nights in the Tipi which is 5 min walking up the hill. Michel was great, he gave us tips on what to do and accompanied us up the hill to our private tipi every evening with the Quad.
There's a lot you can do around, from hiking to kayaking - Michel has some kayaks you can use for free, and he also gives suggestions on the tours to do and how to get back to the base using the currents of the river :D.
If you stay 2 days or more, a boat tour to see the beavers is included! And most of all, if you're lucky enough you won't see only beavers - we saw our first moose in one week of travelling around, right here!
The place is very clean, and you have everything you need around the campsite - cooking on the fire was one of our favourite moments in the evening.
All was great

We really enjoyed our time there. Lots of eye-catching details made by natural elements made it unique. We stayed in the yurt and it was so beautiful and cozy with enough space for 5 people with utensils provided and a portable stove to cook besides the barbeque outside. Our trip was at the beginning of April and everywhere was covered by snow. Heating was provided by burning woods and made the yurt warm enough. You should be careful to follow the instruction that Michel gives you about the amount of wood you burn otherwise inside will be a sauna! The night sky was full of stars and a good opportunity to enjoy!
I loved the chairs made of wood around the barbeque, it was really an act of art.
There is a river in front that connects there to the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve which in the warm season gives you the opportunity to relax on the deck or kayaking and watch moose and beavers.
Despite the language barrier for communication, Michel gives us some info about the location and provided everything we needed; he is a gem who brought much art and life to the stay.
The yurt was so clean. I will come back there again!
I was satisfied with our experience however I like to mention the issues that can affect decisions for those who are uncertain of what they will encounter:
Because of winter, the shower was dysfunctional and we were informed by the manager, but for a 1-night stay, it didn't matter. Regarding the toilet, the flush didn't work and you needed to use the bucket of water (from melted snow or river!) for that. I think it was a temporary situation because of winter.
To make the yurt warm, you should feed the fire every 1-2 hours at night if you travel in the cold season. It wasn't a big deal for us, as we wanted to experience living in natural accommodation and that's a part of it.
The limited water supply (provided by a container) for washing dishes and drinking was a little bit tricky if that matters to you.
In the end, I emphasize that all of these issues are part of such stay and didn't bother us, but if you are a conservative person, you need to know that.
