Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in Trancoso

Sehr schöne Pousada mit perfekter Ausstattung und gepflegtem Garten. Super Frühstücksbuffet. Kurze Wege zum Strand und ins Zentrum (Quadrado)

Morgens und nachmittags sehr viel Verkehr auf der Straße vor der Pousada (Zu-/Abfahrt Strand). Abends und nachts aber ruhig.

Melhor localização de Trancoso e atmosfera familiar

Staff extremamente gentil. Café da manhã excelente, cardápio de tapiocas e omeletes. Café da tarde servido e cortesia. Localização maravilhosa, 2min da praia e 7min do quadrado. Piscina maravilhosa e atmosfera tranquila. Voltaremos. Nosso bebê amou e nós também.

Perfect location to chill around nature! I definitely recommend it and will come back. :)

We had a great time in Le Refuge! Great location, real close to the beach and few minutes walking to Quadrado. The host was kind and helpful and facilities very nice. The perfect location to chill around nature!

Superb

Spacious room and lovely pool and garden area. Great breakfast spread with plenty of local delicacies to try and kitchen available to make omelettes, tapiocas and toasties on request! Location is ideal if you want a break from the quadrado and prefer to stay walking distance to the beach.

No complaints, just that we would NOT recommend the Le Refuge bistro in front of the pousada, unfortunately we had a terrible meal there and ended up leaving without even eating it!

Amazing stay, right next to the beach, and amazing owner!

Amazing breakfast! They had a spread buffed style but also could do eggs and other dishes if needed! Also amazing juices every morning.

The ONLY, and i mean only thing I would have loved would have been a thicker cover on the bed.

Close to a really magnificent beach (3’ walking), with a great beach club (Uxua) immediately to the left (part of another hotel but they accept guests)

While the location is nice during the day, at night the place is death. The village is like a 15’ walking steep uphill before you reach the border and then still 10’ to get to bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket and so. The hotel is build next to a mangrove and mosquitos are everywhere, make sure you have a good repellent (or suffer…). Due to circumstances, I used 2 rooms, which was no problem. But the 1st room had a very hard bed that didnt sleep well at all. Luckily, the second room had a very comfortable bed :-)

An excellent, relaxing and beautiful stay in Trancoso

Breakfast was delicious (cold buffet plus hot food per order e.g., eggs and tapioca) Service was excellent, Jamile went above and beyond with check in and handling any requests needed (e.g., extra cups, towels, coconut water!) Pool was clean and warm, the rooms were meticulously clean and the AC worked very well. Wifi worked well (e.g., to work and to stream) Very close to the beach, really well positioned between the quandrado for restaurants, bars, shops (10 mins) and the beach (5 mins)

Wonderful stay - great location!

The Pousada was rustic and beautiful. The rooms were charming and we really appreciated the mosquito netting over the bed. The breakfast was very good with some made to order dishes. Twominute walk to Praia dos Coqueiros!

We would have liked some couches or comfy chairs in the breakfast area. There’s really no place to hang out in inclement weather.

We loved our stay at Le Refuge and cannot wait to come back and stay longer!

We had an amazing stay, the room was spacious, clean and the staff were able to accommodate our needs in a very fast and efficient way. Breakfast was served from 8am to 10.30am and it was delicious, lots of options! Every single person we interacted with was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Le Refuge is located minutes away walking from the beach and from the Quadrado, which is exactly where you want to be during your visit to Trancoso.

No complaints, everything was great.

You can't beat the location!

Perfect location, with easy access to the beach and the historic center (Quadrado). Staff very kind and helpful, specially Michelle and Maya.

Located near a parking area, it's a bit noisy during the day. Hot shower lacks power. Limited options for breakfast - mostly sweets.

Hidden Oasis for Good Value

Aside from that, the location is great, staff is kind, rooms impeccably clean, breakfast was filling and it is truly quite an oasis.

Unfortunately there were a few other guests who would allow their child to run around the property unsupervised. The child woke us up each morning with screaming, tried to throw water at us at the pool and even stuck their head into our window though the curtain that was closed, all unsupervised. It was surprising that no one did anything about this. It took away from the relaxation factor.

Best Pousada in Trancoso

Le Refuge is the best place to stay in Trancoso, walking distance to the Quadrado e to the most beautiful beaches. My daughter and I had the chance to visit other local pousadas. Le Refuge is, by far, the best in town. Marc, the owner, is originally from Corsica, France. He brought the French charm and the warm atmosphere that represents his home country. The place is impeccable: clean, beautiful, delicious breakfast and peaceful. We will definitely be back.
