Somewhat quirky and cute; modernization was well done with excellent function.
They forgot to put towels in my room.

The staff were very friendly! The hotel location is wonderful. The rooms are decorated very cute. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
The only thing we didn't like was that the beds were really hard.

Wonderful location and easy walking distance to everything. The breakfast had plenty of options. Staff very helpful. We were able to park on location. Best part was the little nook in the apartment with the dog bed, water bowl, and treat left for our pup. Highly recommend.

Staff incredibly nice and helpful (we were given a map with all the nice spot to visit marked), cosy silent and very clean room, hotel's position perfect for visiting the city center on foot.

Loved this place! Yessica was a fantastic hostess! We enjoyed the great breakfast every morning! The chef was outstanding! Wonderful European breakfast, no need to go out! Rooms cozy and never wanted for anything. Great location to the Christmas market. Would return without hesitation should I go back to Nurenberg! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Location was ideal. the room was comfortable if nothing special
Breakfast was very ordinary, and the style of the hotel was basic. Fine but could have been better. A little effort for more charm would be much appreciated.

When booking we asked for an apartment, but when we arrived we were offered to option of a hotel room, or apartment, we chose the later.
The apartment was located across the road from the hotel, with an elevator access; the accommodation was spacious and an excellent location for the town centre.
The staff were very helpful and there was also off road parking available.
If you are looking for an apartment in Nurnberg, we would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
This was out first visit to Nurnberg and, although we have visited Germany many times, this is a location worth exploring.

The location and hotel are good,
I booked a twin room. the room was so small. The beds were tiny and because the room was so small, we could not separate the beds. It was truly uncomfortable and not a twin room like i have ever been in before. I mentioned this to the reception staff on the first day, but they did nothing about this. I frequently woke up with my colleague’s arms and legs on my bed... that’s how small the beds were. A colleague of ours joined us two days later and got a room twice the size of ours. He was on his own.

A very old bldg in a great location that managed to merge old and new together beautifully. Loved the old accents and other pieces that had been preserved and also loved the chic, modern feel of the updates. Also liked that it had only limited number of rooms which made for a personal and intimate stay - like home. Lastly, it was super clean and well maintained.
We liked everything about the property.

A little warm in our room. But everything was perfect!

Hotel was in an excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Using public transportation from airport was easy. Nuremberg, Airport (NUE) to Hotel Elch (located in Nuremberg “Castle District”), Monday, November 8. A 90-minute ticket on Nuremberg’s public transportation cost $3.70 each ($22.22 for 6 of us). After a short walk from the airport terminal to the train, we boarded the U2 (Nuremberg Rothenbach) line for a 16-minute (10 stop) run to the Plarrer stop. With German punctuality, we got off the train and looked for the No. 4 tram (3 minutes, 2 stops) to the Hallertor stop. After a straight-forward 3-minute walk, we arrived at the Hotel Elch. Neither the train nor the tram were crowded (flight arrived at 1:35 pm, mid-afternoon). So, we definitely would (and, actually, did) use Nuremberg public transportation again.

Everything - location, personnel, building. It is just perfect. If you come to visit Nürnberg inner city, this is the perfect place to stay.
I was charged an additional EUR20 for checking out at 12am instead of 11am when, as it turned out, I was supposed to leave. But it doesn't change the fact that this hotel is an amazing place and I would still recommend it for twice the price!
