convenient for visiting local attractions

We loved the boat (cayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats) rentals that were included in the price of the stay and the little lake and beach across from the dock. The food at the golf club across the street was very reasonably priced and delicious. The beds in the room were wonderful as well as the little kitchenette area with toaster.
The second floor location of room with only access by stairs is not the best if one has much luggage or is mobility impaired.

Staff very helpfull came to room later in evening to help with fireplace, with a smile
Nothing, a little pricey but enjoyed the stay.

The rooms are very big and very clean. We were only there for a one night stay but will definatly be going back
The only negative part was that the check out was at 11 am and not at noon like our reservation indicated.

I liked being by the lake, free kayaks were a bonus and keyless checkin was very convenient.
New construction was dusty and back of hotel was unfinished and unlandscaped.

Course was in great condition, staff at course was very good
The lightning going up to the room was poor, also need better lighting in the hallways.

Here is what we liked: 1) The parking is free, on the private grounds of the resort and only a few steps away from the stairs. The hotel mentions that it is ''Street parking'' but it is actually better. 2) The room was clean and comfortable with quality bed-sheets; there was a small refrigrator, a coffee maker, a toaster and a microwave, all practical items along with dishes and cutlery. The bathroom was quite spacious with a nice walk-in shower. 3) The view of the lake that we had in our unit (No. 3), was enjoyable; the hotel mentions ''View - Lake view'' which seems to indicate that all rooms have a similar view but only the rooms facing the back have it and none of those have a balcony. Other rooms, facing the front, have a view of the road and very little of the ''far away'' golf course. 4) The location across from the golf course is great, especially for golfers. 5) The television was big with a good selection of cable-channels, mostly in French. 6) The WI-FI was free and adequate. 6) The check-out being at 12:00 PM is a real treat.
We always liked Rawdon as a getaway from Montreal and this time, we stayed at the Rawdon Golf Resort but we were disappointed. Here is why: 1) The stairs to go up to the room; they are very steep with a ramp that is very rough that can give you splinters. Difficult to imagine having to go up in a winter snowstorm, in the summer heat or during freezing rain with absolutely no help with the luggage. The description stipulates: ''Accessibility-Upper floors accessible by stairs only'' but ALL TEN ROOMS are on the second floor and reached by the stairway as the ground floor is utilized for conferences or as a venue for weddings or other special events. 2) There is no one on the premises; we got the access code by text to open the door but only about 20 minutes before 3:00 PM so we were a bit worried. We did meet, by pure chance, someone that confirmed the access code. 3) There was no information in the room; we were told that there would be a booklet but there was none in our unit; maybe it would have explained how to use the fireplace. 4) There was nowhere to eat although the resort writes ''1 restaurant on site'' and ''there is a restaurant serving American cuisine'', the restaurant Gordie's, located in the Club House of the golf-course, closed Sunday at 4:00 PM and did not open at all on Monday, so we had to take the car and drive all the way into town to eat. 5) The grounds of the hotel are more like a construction site, and a dangerous one, with doors of the space being worked on, not even closed or locked. We were expecting greenery and clean surrounding, not so. 6) The resort writes:: ''The nearest airport is Montréal/St-Hubert Airport, 82 km from Rawdon Golf Resort'' and then ''Closest airports Montréal/St-Hubert Airport-63.5 km''. Although this was of no concern to us, why such disparity in the information given? Details are important.

Everything else (except for surprises see bellow) was excellent. We had a brunch (special occasion brunch for Easter) at the resort and it was superb but expensive $$. Everything they mentioned in add was there. Very clean, comfortable and fresh clean beds, wonderful fireplace, WIFI was strong, beautiful view of frozen river.
No breakfast included for the price of the room. No registration desk, we had to call a phone number to get a code to reach second floor door and another code to open our room door. We were also surprised that we had to reach our room with outdoor stairs to second floor. We were later told in was indicated in advertisement but we did not notice it because it was very small. There was no bathtub.

The mattresses were comfortable and the room was clean.
Major accessibility issues, there is one wooden staircase that goes up to the rooms. It was not well lit, hard to find at night and there were no staff around to seek support from.
