Great hostel in the very center of Philly - but in a quiet back street, so it wasn't noisy. Rooms were nice, comfy beds, each had sockets, a lamp and a shelf, a locker and some hooks. Kitchen was nice too, enough dishes and always clean. It was very social place, people were very friendly, especially on beer nights it was really easy to meet new people. Bonus points for the pool table, free to play. Staff was nice and helpful.
The only reason why I'm not giving full 10/10 are the showers. Several had a very high pressure and it was uncomfortable to use them, plus there was no space to put your things inside the shower stall apart from hooks, so toiletries bag or your keycard could only be put on the ground. Also wifi kept falling, but that might have been just my phone.

The location is great, 3 mns away from the Museum of the American Revolution, and 5 mns from the Independance Hall and the Liberty Bell, and a 20 mns walk to the Greyhounf bus stop.
Staff was super nice, the hostel is modern and spacious, espaecially the kitchen equiped with everything you might need.
The window in the room would barely open, maybe air circulation or aeration could be improved.

The atmosphere and the friendly staff. Made tons of new friends.
Nothing , or probably I couldn’t stay longer.

Very friendly staff, great common rooms, plugs at every bed, amazing central location
3rd/4th floor walkup rooms, heat was waaayyy too high in rooms and common areas, fee was pretty high for a hostel though good for center city Philly

Great staff and great environment, location is amazing, literally at the heart of old city.
beddings were a bit worn and old but definitely clean, not a big deal.

The hostel itself is superb antique building located right next to the Independence National Historical Park with several monuments and landmarks around for an exciting, educative walk. The entire facility is kept in good repair, and tidy. The staff are very courteous and kind. The hostel also offers freebies such as free liquor or beer.
Not one thing. However, maybe it could be possible for the managers to look into ensuring that the street leading to the hostel is better kept clean and well lit.

Location is the best!
Kitchen and free tea were like a gift! The stuff is good.
Even with the 10 beds there was a lot od space. Curtaines is the brilliant idea for privacy!
Somebody stole my makeup - but I left it on my bed, and did not think I should hide it.
Also There was a very noisy person who thought he could play musical instruments. Since it was in the kitchen nobody could not stop hime. I got sick from that noise. But I really did not know what to do...

Cute little hideaway when u need a pit stop! It's dorm rooms, so if bunk beds aren't your thing, oh well. Immaculately styled, right down to the playlists lol. Full kitchen, cool peeps, staff vibe was excellent.
Building cleanliness=10. Women's bathrooms? Maybe a 6-7

The last time I was here was 2 years ago for July 4th. I stayed in the older building. This time in the newer building in the "Rocky Wing". The theme from rocky is stuck in my head now, lol but that's ok cause nothing says Philly like Liberty Bell, cheese steaks, Ben Franklin and Rocky. I thought 2 days would be enough since I only live in New York City but nope should have stayed longer. Instead of going to DC for turkey Day I might stay in Philly. Already made another booking for it.
I have trouble going up and down stairs due to my arthritis but I took my time. Luckily I was just on the second floor.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds were fine, with adequate bedding provided. There were lots of cosy areas to chill out, good group activities, luggage storage and great location.

The location is next to many museums and attractions!! The staff tried to control the people talking outside our window. The bathroom and room were clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. Other guests didn’t bother you., and were friendly. We had a private room!!!
Windows had to stay open in rooms for AC and people gathered outside the window on street to talk and argue loudly! We shared bathroom and there was hair on the sheets.

It was fine. You get what you pay for and you can hang out with other people. The shower is really nice
it isn‘t the cleanest place and the bed it not super comfy but it‘s totally fine for the price

- Amazingly proficient and friendly staff, helpful and committed in every single way. They sure know to run this place.
- The common area is very nice and comfty, pool table, lots of sofas and chairs to hang out, games available, pretty spacious kitchen with everything clean and well equipped.
- Shower and bathroom pretty clean most of the time, little extra cleaning might be needed early morning :)
- Everybody around including other guests were super happy and friendly people, they make you feel at home.
- Free beers at 9 pm on weekends was very nice to have :)
- Mattresses were very thin and my back suffered, bunk beds have no curtains or divisions from the rest of the room so privacy is not an option in share rooms. Also I got clean and neat blankets and pillows when I checked in but I get the impression that they wash the bigger blankets occasionally so I personally did not use it.

Extremely clean throughout with welcoming and cheerful staff. Shared bathroom facilities were excellent. Kitchen was clean and very well resourced.
Windows in the bedroom had to be kept open because of the aircon. However the mosquito nets in place were not secure. (They were in the bathroom, however).
The night light to the bottom bunk bed was poorly attached to the wall and fell out.

Close to transportation. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. This place is not fancy, but it is very nicely decorated. Hostels are great places to stay when only a bed is needed and a hotel is too much. Found my place to stay in Philly from now on. Wish I found it earlier.

This is my second time staying at this hostel and it once again exceeded my expectations! They provide so much for you that not a lot of hostels typically do (towels, wash cloths, shampoo/bodywash, lounging areas, etc.). The location is perfect! Right in the heart of Old City Philly, and within walking distance to so many places. You meet so many great people from around the world who stay here as well which makes it more memorable. They host bar crawls and other events with guests from the hostel and they give you a free drink at 9pm. This hostel is very secure and safe. I am beyond satisfied, and I will continue to stay here when I visit the city.
I truly have no genuine complaints. The only thing I would have liked was a later check-out time, but 11AM is the typical check-out time at any hotel/hostel you stay at. I recommend this business to anyone who travels to the city, absolutely exceptional.

The staff at this hostel are really helpful and the common areas are great! There was a good social atmosphere during my stay. Dorm rooms had great ventilation and beds were spaced apart sensibly. Perfect location.
The showers and bathrooms are at opposite ends of a long corridor, which is a little annoying when getting ready for bed. This is a very minor point though!
