Breakfast was closed the day we were there. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

This hotel was fabulous and well worth the price. The beds and pillows were one of the most comfortable that I’ve slept on. The hotel room was clean and beautiful. The restaurant was great and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
I liked everything
4.3
Clean, comfortable, with great gym and pool.
Nothing to dislike.

Updated decor
I stayed on a Saturday and I spent the day hiking and looking forward to hoping in the hot tub at this hotel. I stayed at this hotel just to do this. Unaware the hot tub and indoor pool close at 10:00 pm though I was in the elevator at 10:10 and people had clearly just got out of the pool. There also was a pubic hair in the shower on the wall!

The room was spacious, clean and suited our needs extremely well. The staff were very helpful and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel us well actuated on the bluff and located close to lots of restaurants snd services.
Not applicable.

Good breakfast. Breakfast host was helpful and efficient.
We were disappointed that the on-site restaurant was closed, but we enjoyed the restaurant in town that the desk person helped us locate.
4.3
It was newly renovated and the bed was really comfortable! The shower was nice! Enjoyed the cookies upon check-in that was a nice touch!
The heat started making crazy noises at me in the middle of the night. I had to turn it off. Also the toilet made insane noises when you flushed it.
4.3
The restaurant was closed which we were not aware of, there was also construction going on during our stay which was loud. Rooms were very warm making it uncomfortable
Only one elevator working when we stayed, lots of noise from construction and the restaurant was not opened which was inconvenient.
4.3
Room itself was ok although dark. There was only one accessible outlet which was on the desk. No place to plug in next to the bed.
No soap in the bathroom. Elevators must have been getting renovated because they were a mess. Heavy smoke smell which lingered on clothes if I used the elevator. Breakfast had no hot water to make tea. No fresh fruit.
4.3
Did not partake in breakfast! Was busy with partner! Food did not matter at the time!
Not really sure what could've been better! Only stayed one night. The time we spent at hotel was used for romance. Nothing else.
4.3
The golf view was nice and we used the pool.
The furniture in the room was dated and stained. It was the first thing we saw as we entered the room. A couch with multiple stains. A carpet that was stained and ripped.
4.3
Very nice, clean hotel, staff was super nice. It was good to have the restaurant attached.
Nothing.

The breakfast service was utterly appalling.

The employees were very helpful and made me feel at home and the room itself had everything I needed and the complimentary coffee was a wonderful surprise
Nothing at all it was perfect

YOUR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I arrived, the property had no record of my reservation at all. The helpful associate at the front desk searched their system up and down, and my reservation was not there. So we had to call YOUR customer support, who used pleasant customer support phrases, but gave the gentleman at the desk a hard time. At one point I was told I may have to pay again, then seek a refund from you. Your customer support person tried repeatedly to tell the hotel employee that they really did have my reservation, and that he wasn’t looking hard enough. Your freaking name is “booking.com”. You would think the one thing you wouldn’t screw up is “the booking” part. My family arrived late and my boys were exhausted, and I had to sit there for almost an hour wondering if we had a place to stay at all. Despite using phrases out of a customer support handbook, she had an attitude — whether it was apathy or superciliousness I don’t know. What I do know is that after whatever computer screwup was fixed, I expressed my concern that I had used your service for a stay the following night, and that I didn’t want to be out in the middle of nowhere without a place to stay because the booking has gotten messed up, and her gaslighting response was “It did work out, you have your room now.” So if that kind of screwup and worrying about plans for an hour late at night with two kids in the car is what you call a successful booking, then not only am I not using your service again, I’m going to scream from the mountaintops that booking.com can’t even get the booking part right. Your customer service representatives shouldn’t be trying to gaslight a customer that just spent an hour thinking I was going to have to drive my kids aimlessly around looking for a place to stay that everything “worked” fine. Ridiculous.

Beautiful view and great location!
some how a spider got in our bed and died while we were gone, not anyone’s fault just grossed me out a little

Doubletree By Hilton Front Royal Blue Ridge Shadows location is excellent. It is close to the shopping center with a beautiful view. For a golf lover, you will definitely enjoy this place. The indoor pool and hot tub are a plus. The breakfast is served in a restaurant next to it with a delicious menu selection. Bonus, yummy chocolate cookies are offered upon arrival!
The automatic entrance door is noisy! Please fix it! Someone could have PTSD because of it.

One of the best properties I have ever stayed at. property was super clean staff was awesome!
Not one Flaw!

The front desk staff when we arrived at 11:30PM was very helpful and kind.
There was no way to contact the hotel of our late arrival. No one picking up from the front desk. I called more than 20 times throughout the day and never got through to a person. Just voice mail. Even the person for booking (separate department) a reservation couldn't get in touch with the front desk.
The glasses were never cleaned. It was placed next to the coffee maker stained with either juice or wine residue.

I liked the location, the facilities were great and I would stay again.
Pricing was a little expensive, the bed was a little hard. I did see breakfast.

The location was near the interstate and easy to find. The lobby was decorated beautifully. The room was spacious and for the most part clean. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The staff were friendly and I liked that there was a restaurant attached to the hotel.
The Wi-Fi connection was not good. The TV would lose signal. There was a leak under the sink in the bathroom which resulted in me having to put the ice bucket under the sick to catch the water. (I did notify the front desk and they gave me 2 free breakfast vouchers.) The lotion was completely out in the bathroom along with the shower amenities. Our second night, we went to the pool area and while we were there, 2 people came in that seemed to be intoxicated or on something. Their language was inappropriate and one them went “swimming” in the hot tub. They were playing music and singing quite loudly. After a few minutes, my daughter and I left because we did not feel comfortable in there.
