Perfect location. View of the harbour with balcony. The staff were A1 and the rooms could not have been cleaner. No inexpensive but worth every penny

The location is perfect, and the spacious rooms have ample natural lighting. The location is convenient for numerous dining options and the ferry.
There was an unpleasant odor in the room and the bathroom appeared to be unclean. We had to request cleaning twice before someone finally showed up to do it.

Location, decor, friendly, helpful staff. I literally loved this hotel. Staying right in Sausalito was fantastic.
The cost for a massage/spa facilities seemed expensive to us. However, we are comparing a weakened pound to the dollar.

About the stay at Madrona Hotel and Spa, the expectation was not fulfilled. We are a couple aged 75 and 74 with a hip surgery story. The room provided to us was on the third floor of a part of the hotel under construction ( we do not know that!) and the elevator did not provide access to the room 306. We claim about it at the Reception and the answer was to send someone to open a sealed door ( where it was an advise ‘do not open’!) to gain the access to it. After that the door was sealed again and the access to the room 306 was only by stairs. The stairs are uncovered and the risk of falling was real, because it rained. So, to climb them with or without luggage, to gain access to outside and back to the room, we always have to use the stairs. These were some of the difficulties we faced, and the risk to fall was real because the days we were there it rained. The price charged does not match what they offered to the guests. We strongly advise against booking at this hotel.

Huge room. Amazing restaurant. We didn't get into the spa, but it's nice to have it.

The view from the room was incredible and the hotel was elegant. Loved that the structure dated to 1885 but had been impeccably maintained.
The mattress seemed like it was near the end of us useful life and sagged a bit. We paid for parking but there's plenty of street parking up the hill behind the hotel.

The first room was awsome comfy bed.
10 pm toilet wouldn't flush. Maintenance person showed up and tried to fix. Said it was fixed. Still wouldn't flush. Quickly gave us another room, that was smaller and uncomfortable bed. Desk person checked us out. But i feel they should have offered some type of service recovery. The room I had was more expensive

The staff were great, location was exceptional.
no follow up from staff during 12hour power outage. no checking up on guests. room temperature went down to 60. it would’ve been nice, for the price we’re paying, to get checked on by staff during a power outage.

the property was in a perfect location. Close to a variety different restaurants. The No Name Bar was fabulous and an easy walk to hotel. The room was spacious and clean.
We did not have a view of anything but two chairs.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and has great views over the bay. The room was spacious and the balcony was big enough for two people to enjoy a wine or coffee.
The check in process. The reception staff were not welcoming at all and in fact we felt like an imposition. We arrived at 11am after a long flight from Australia. I understand checkin time was 4pm but I thought they may have made an effort to try and accomodate us slightly earlier then that….even by 3pm. We received an email at 3.57pm to say “ Good news, your room is ready” . Very disappointing.
