No breakfast is provided, which is not a concern. Free parking on site. Lots of food choices nearby. Michael, the manager, was friendly and helpful.
The microwave oven in room 117 had tendency to suddenly start on its own, without warning. The ceiling fan runs on 'high' and wobbles; can't adjust the speed.

The location was great. We were right there at hwy 1, within walking distance of food and stores and had easy access in and out which was perfect for driving a 28' flat bed truck used for ALC! We were pleasantly surprised with the work they have done to update the Inn. We had what needed and plenty of room! It was clean and nicely kept.

Room was spacious, sufficiently equipped. Place is clean. Very fast check-in. (I was very tired when checking in ). Facility is up to date. It is worth the money. Highly recommended. Wish to stay longer.
Water damage in the bathroom is obvious. It is a design problem that should be addressed. Water coming from shower easily spread to the entire bathroom.

We were pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotel because the rate was so cheap. We will definitely be back for another stay!

An excellent location was the only positive aspect of our stay. However there are several other hotels nearby where will stay the next time we visit Lompoc.
Our challenges began with the location of the room. We had requested a ground floor room. We had a number of bags with us and knew that it would be difficult to bring them upstairs since the property has no elevators. They did not respond that they couldn't fulfill this. The stairs were extremely steep and difficult to manage with luggage. (see photos) It has taken two weeks for my back to recover.
The room itself was also problematic. Although the hotel advertised fully renovated rooms, the renovations were incomplete. The TV and microwave were housed in a dated worn cabinet which did not fully close. The microwave was located at floor level, making it very difficult to use and dangerous to use. The furniture in front of the window is attractive but made accessing the drapes extremely difficult.
The breakfast offerings were minimal and unappealing. We decided to eat elsewhere.
However, the most startling aspect of our stay was the fact that the room was equipped with only a partial roll of toilet paper. In over 50 years of travel throughout the world, we have never encountered this situation. The front desk did not answer our calls to request additional TP. After several attempts to contact the desk my husband walked down to the front desk and experienced the following:
"I was unable to find anyone at the front desk, but did find someone in the breakfast room. I asked her if there was a way to get some toilet paper. She said she had to cover the breakfast room and would not be able to help me for at least a half an hour. I asked if there was a bathroom anywhere near the front desk or the breakfast room where she could quickly grab a roll of toilet paper for us. The answer was, "No." Surely there was a bathroom for the person at the front desk to use?! We ended up buying toilet paper to use! "

Thin walls, you can hear everything outside including your neighbors and upstairs rooms when they walk and use the bathroom
