Would definitely start again!!!!

Very nice place close to my office. A little spendy for a night, but I suppose it’s because of the location. Nice bar area (good food and drinks!!), comfy bed, nice up to date bathroom in the room, nice lobby. I would stay again!

My room kind of had an older, stale cigarette smoke smell. Not like someone has smoked in it recently, but like maybe it used to be a smoking room when that was a thing. I only noticed it when entering the room the first few minutes. It didn’t linger on clothing or bedding or anything. Just kind of faintly there.

Great trip

Room was great with a good view. It was just a short walk to a great restaurant and the venue we were going to.

Breakfast was overpriced. I would recommend going elsewhere.

We stay in Marriott’s often and this particular one was not up to Marriott standards.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was poorly set up with the toliet paper very hard to reach. There was not enough seating and not enough storage.

Beautiful downtown hotel with comfortable rooms and awesome amentities!

Wow! We loved this hotel! We booked it last minute due to an airbnb issue.. and we were so happy that we did. The hotel is beautiful. The parking facilities is right next to the property, the shuttle service was so convenient, and staff were nice. 10/10 stay!

The fact that the price was over the going rate that one could actually get on a Google search. I asked about it, but was never offered an option of a better price. This was very disappointing.

The hotel is really nice but a bit pricey for a standard room that has a very small bathroom.

Nicely updated yet nostalgic hotel.

Bathrooms are tiny. Pay a pretty good price for a bathroom the size of a camper’s bathroom.

Tolles Hotel an guter Lage

Sehr schönes Hotel, gute Lage. Hatte ein grosses Eckzimmer (1022). Bequemes Bett und in der Dusche eine Regen- und Habdbrause.

Da direkt an der Strasse gelegen, sehr laut. Konnte die ganze Nacht wegen Verkehrslärm nicht schlafen. Von den Zimmern nebenan bekommt man nichta mit. Das Personal war freundlich, aber sehr zurückhaltend und etwas kühl.

Amazing, friendly and fun

Our car broke down and it was not a planned trip and everyone was so accommodating to us. Our shuttle driver (Eddie) was incredible after a super successful day with a toddler. Over and beyond with this hotel. Made a terrible situation turn into a lovely little vacation night. Thank you.

Perfect get away in downtown Des Moines

Gorgeous decor and over the top friendly staff. Was given a complimentary upgrade without asking. Shuttle driver was awesome - took us to the music venue for a concert and picked us up. Love this hotel.

The only recco would be a refresh on the room’s carpeting. It was super clean, just showing some wear and tear.

The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort, adorned with tasteful decor and boasting breathtaking views of the city skyline. The attention to detail in the design was evident, creating an atmosphere that was both welcoming and opulent.

O hotel não oferece nenhum tipo de lazer. Não há piscinas, apenas um fitness room, mas muito bem equipado. O café da manhã não oferecia os mesmos produtos todos os dias, o que nos levou a pensar que a despensa estava desabastecida.

Great stay overall. Steve is a great bartender.

We did not have the breakfast. Nice to see the restaurant ordered full menu but tend to enjoy a complimentary breakfast when dining at hotels. Again, this is my opinion and understand that hotel's don't always offer complimentary breakfast.

Don't have your guests pay for WiFi--el cheapo!

Location was nice. Receptionists were very nice. And, the Aveda soap/shampoo was a very nice touch. We bumped into RFK, Jr. who went inside, presumably to stay! While filming him, he invited us to take a selfie! Jogging in the a.m. was very safe!

The fitness center was a bit lacking. They can invest in their equipment a bit more. Don't have your guests pay for WiFi! Even $5 is too much because it's WiFi, and we can get it for free elsewhere.

This is a very good location if one is going to the Des Moines Performing Art Center.

The hotel was very clean and quite. The rooms were nicely decked but small. The bed was very comfortable.

The thermostat in the room had an option for the fan to be run continuously but neither I nor the hotel staff could make it function properly. Therefore we got to hear the rather loud air circulating fan turn on and off all night long. Hopefully this thermostat will be replaced very soon.

The location of the hotel was walking distance from the event we were in town for.

The hotel was walking distance to the finish line for the Dam to DSM race, which brought us to town. The room had a refrigerator, which was helpful and we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower.

The bed was too lumpy and soft to be able to get quality sleep. Parking was in a parking ramp for $10 a day. This hotel location did not have a pool/hot tub or free breakfast.

Will not be my first choice to stay again.

Having a restaurant on property.

Our room wasn’t the cleanest. Food crumbs and such in the room. The front desk staff overly attentive. I had left something in our room after we left. Myself and my 2 small children waited in line at the front desk for at minimum of 5 minutes. The desk attendant was taking a call, but there we at least 2 other employees standing in the hallway behind the desk laughing and taking pictures. all while the line at the desk got longer, more calls came thru and 2 children were becoming more and more anxious.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff that was willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

Might seem small to some, but having no microwave was a big downside for our family. We always plan to reheat leftovers from eating out on vacations and were really annoyed that we had to just throw the food away.

Very clean rooms and comfortable bed.

My check-in was a little shaky as I was originally told my reservation had been canceled by a third-party company?? Fortunately they had a room for me. For the cost of the rooms it would have been nice to have a few more options at the continental breakfast.
