It was a pleasant stay by the ocean, though none of the rove ocean views.

The facility is clean. The hardwood floors are the best.

The parking fee for $23 per night. Wish it was free parking.

A lovely location to visit Solana Beach

The location was great. We were upgraded by you and the hotel gave us some money off in the end as there was a lot of noisy refurbishment being done at the hotel and there was no access to the pool. However everything else was great and we will return.

The noisy refurbishments, but we were out during the day and we did get a discount from the hotel as an act of good will. The room was enormous and very well appointed. This is the first time we have stayed in a Marriott hotel, apart from an overnighted at Heathrow and we were very happy with what we found.

I would have rated our stay an 8 or 9, but they couldn’t get our furnace to work and no one bothered to check in on us

Great location, spacious and clean room and pleasant staff.

Our heater stopped working while it was unusually cold for San Diego. The maintenance person replaced the furnace. It worked for about an hour and that was it, no more heat for the rest of the weekend.

it was ok but expectations were not met considering the price we paid

staff were friendly, overall look was appropriate. we were not charged for infant, extra charges on the bill we did not use were taken off immediately when mentioning them, without hesitation

several maintenance issues in the rooms, prices charged for menu items were higher than displayed (apparently the system was updated while the display wasn't yet, but in this case the displayed prices should apply, not the system prices which no one can see when ordering), the German sentence on the in-room sign was completely wrong, during our three night stay only once room service was provided. sheets were not changed, just straightened (we could tell because some sand from the first night was still in the sheets), only three towels were provided while booking for four people. we asked for an extra towel which was provided without hesitation, yet after the room service again only 3 towels were provided.

Getaway Weekend

Location and accommodations were great for our trip. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

This was not the hotel's fault, but the only con was the noisy upstairs guests.

This place was incredible. just what we needed and I cannot say enough nice things about the staff!

Staff was amazing. Our room was perfect. Starbucks on property was super convenient.

The on-property Starbucks was only open from7-11am. But they has snacks available in the lobby.

Fabulous stay - will return

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Coming into the lobby was warm and easy. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great shower as well. I will definitely be back. It was a great stay that far exceeded my expectations.

We stayed just one night on the first day they were open. This facility formerly operated as a La Quinta Inn but has been fully remodeled. Interior decor modern and rooms well-appointed which one would expect of a Courtyard. As far as we could tell (we didn't eat in the cafe) everything seemed to be going smoothly.

One thing that was not in service was charging stations in the parking garage for electric vehicles (not yet installed as of December 2022). Also, one parking garage has very limited parking and it wasn't obvious that there's another larger parking lot around the corner. Perhaps some signage had not yet been installed. There was a minor hiccup with the coffee dispenser in the lobby, which made excellent lattes but seems like it might be backed up with a long line during the morning rush.

Loved Solana Beach but the Marriott not so much.

The cleanliness of the room and the staff were great. Services were great. Even late night tequests were courteously handled.

The website lead me to believe there was a restuarant/bar onsite. Which there is not. Also all the hype about being on the beach, there is no direct beach access. Finally parking is a rip-off, why are you charging $22.00 a night... because corporate says you have to. Why cant you be different. After all guest are paying $300 a night you cant throw in free parking. That was the biggest let down of the week, except for the sunday morning 6;15 fire alarm wake up. Only to be told ...oh someone pulled the fire alarm....nothing or no one said it was all clear to go back to your rooms....

Bad deal for the money.

King Suite? Not a suite. Average size room with single size sofa bed arms distance from king bed. Not an accommodation for 3 adults. No separation at all. Sofa bed not made up. Had to ask three times for bedding. Listened to person in next bed breathing all night. More than 300 per night plus taxes and also charged to park!
