Breakfast was ok. The orange juice was good. I chose the healthy oatmeal & Croissant option with fruit and scrambled eggs. The eggs were not fully cooked. The fruit was old and partly brown and bruised. One blueberry was moldy. The oatmeal was dry and stuck together in clumps. I liked the breakfast room with fireplace.
I thought there would be a down comforted for the bed. But there was only a very thin coverlet. The room temperature was set at 60. Outside it was below 40 F, and I wS plain cold. I finally realized some heavy blankets were meant to be lugged down from a rack and yes it did keep me warm, but was neither covered with a duvet not smelled very clean. i tried to take a bath, but the tub was so little I could not immerse my torso (I am 5'2 and weigh 135 ponds...) and the bathwater was not warm enough to be comfortable. The receptionist was snippish and the only really friendly person was the parking attendant.

The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. Excellent location convenient to award winning restaurants and plenty of shopping on the plaza. We were informed well ahead of our arrival that the kitchen would be undergoing renovations during our stay and food would not be available on site at that time. The staff was very thoughtful and compensated us with a discounted room upgrade.
We have stayed here many times and have never had a bad experience. It’s consistently wonderful.

A lovely hotel located right in the center of town! Pleasantly large room and bathroom area. Inviting lobby. A most friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing.

Staff was exceptionally rude. They did not want to serve us and ignored us, when I asked why - I was given this - “if you don’t want breakfast you can go now” let me ask, is this the service to expect at this highly advertised hotel? I’ll tell you this hotel doesn’t stand to it’s advertised standards.

very clean, felt very safe. Staff was great. Pool conveniently located next to lobby-good view.
very tight for parking. Confusing to get to rooms.

Location is the reason we have stayed at IOTG many times over the years. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast is helpful, but we miss the buffet.
It's time to refurbish this great old motel. Our sinks were both cracked as were many shower tiles. We had to change out of our fireplace room due to years of residual smoke in the drapes and air. The air quality set off breathing difficulties. Staff graciously moved us.

location was perfect, rooms were very clean, and staff were friendly and helpful.
could use a linen upgrade to more modern duvets and updates to the bathrooms like walk in showers instead of older tub/shower combos.

Breakfast was exceptional.
Room was small.

great location, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, fireplace…

very nice rooms. We were upgraded to room with fireplace which made it more special. Free Parking!
By the way the hotel is built a lot of rooms look out to parking lots. Not a deal breaker but be forewarned.

Reasonable size room and bathroom. The cable TV selection was good with multiple premium channels. We got free parking and free breakfast. The beds were pretty comfortable. The welcome gift tray is nice. Heating system was quiet and couldn't feel the air blow on us. The location is fantastic, it's a block from the main square, and the free parking was a huge bonus.
Our room looked at the gangway, so we had the curtains drawn all the time. Still, a kid running by our window woke me up. The bathroom was a bit dated, the tub a little worn. Not terrible just not the nicest. Check-in was slow as one of the clerks was chatting with a couple guests about sports, so we had to wait for the other, who was excellent. The hot breakfast was free but not very good. The bacon and sausages were dry and tough. We were served and they expected tips, which is ok but given the quality of the food it's a bit of a stretch.

The fireplace was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the cherry cordials, Ken at the front desk was personal able and amazing!

I thought the room was nice. Too bad the walls were paper thin and we had to listen to our neighbors all evening.
The price was too high. I felt like I was price gouged for staying in Santa Fe.
When checking out on 29 Oct, 2022, the front desk person totally ignored me when I approached the desk. She was looking at her phone and wouldn’t acknowledge me. The bellhop did look at me and gestured so I went to him to check out and ask a question. When I talked to him she glanced up from her phone and answered my question very condescendingly. It seemed that once they got my money, the premise of appreciation was gone.
Luckily the noonday staff in the restaurant made up for the rudeness of the front desk lady.

Hotel and staff outstanding!
Del Charro and staff far from outstanding- so bad I asked if it was the same management- it isn’t.

Location was excellent, the staff friendly and this is an opinion of a person from the Deep South! The room was small yet intimate!
A little help with the luggage. The valet just told us where we’d find a cart but didn’t offer to take it up or tell us where our room was. I thought this was a little unusual for such a good hotel.

I like the location. Close to town. The breakfast is fantastic!
My room was a bit small for 4 people, and my bed felt like it could’ve used a new mattress. The top of the mattress where the head would rest sat lower than where your feet would go.
