It was open and beautiful. The rate for a suite was less than a standard king at nearby hotels.
The open layout made it hard to sleep. I could hear the elevator, doors shutting, etc. A fan would have made all the difference, which was my mistake.

Location
I had booked my room 8 months in advance, received multiple emails in the 2 days prior to check in offering the option to upgrade my room and when I checked in, I was told the hotel oversold rooms and I would need to go to a different hotel. Although it was paid for by Embassay Suites, the location was further away from our reason for being in Peoria, no breakfast included and no included evening snacks/drinks. The hotel was at a casino which didn’t appreciate. It also took me 3 calls back to Embassay suites the following day to get a confirmation that they did indeed have space for me on my second booked night

We were charged more than the quote we received from bookings.com I tried to talk to manager and NEVER received a call back
THE price was higher than quoted

Just the layout of the Embassy Suites in general, is appealing.
No hot tub, pool was too cold for anyone but kids.
Breakfast was good, short order cook is a hustler!
Check in staff were extremely polite.

Looked clean, room was decent size.
Beds are extremely uncomfortable, pillows were laughable, they literally felt like a pillow case filled with cotton balls, we should have taken a picture, and even looked like cotton balls inside.
The room advertised 2 beds plus a pull out couch... now it's Hilton. You would expect if you have a few people and need to use the pull out couch, that it would indeed be usable. But no, it was ridiculous how all they could feel was the metal they were laying on, hurt their backs, and they had to sleep on the floor!
When we got up and moving around, as we were all exhausted from tossing and turning all night, we decided let's go ahead and see how breakfast is (as they assured us at check in breakfast was until 10 and was hot fresh food). We wanted to enjoy our stay but that was a huge disappointment.
Got down there a few minutes after 9am. There was a long, long line, so we waited and waited in line. After about 15 minutes standing in line we see the buffet has been empty and there was even a gentleman standing there waiting for several minutes with his plate, a lady comes over to him to let him know there would not be any more food put out. There's literally people all over in the breakfast area waiting for food... it's SERVED until 10, they say.
Well, we finally decided this was another bust and called it time to check out and find somewhere to eat. My husband is diabetic and he has to eat something.
What they DID have out and available was cold if it was supposed to be hot, and room temperature if it was supposed to be cold.
Just what a letdown for the amount of money they charge. I purposefully decided to stay here as I thought it would be a great experience for my family. What a joke.
THEN they expected you to pay $12 per vehicle to park there, in an area with no real lighting, no security cameras, and just a dark area under the overpass.
WHAT A JOKE!

I was blown away with how beautiful the hotel was not to mention the proximity to the river. Beautiful

I’ve stayed here before but I didn’t stay this time so I don’t know what to do with it but I’m going to stay there until the end of this week because I’m going to go get my car and go to the doctor so I don’t have any more problems with my stomach or my heart and I’m not sure what to do because I haven’t been able to get the medication for my stomach or my anxiety so I’m not sure how to get the rest of my life back but I’ll keep my head up and keep you updated
I love this hotel

The breakfast was amazing. The room was awesome. Our grandkids loved it.

Space in the room
It wasn’t as clean as I expected it to be. I feel the room was overpriced for the one night on top of the uncleanliness
3.8
The breakfast exceeded our expectations. The extra charge for incidentals they don’t let you know about it is disappointing. And the cleanliness was poor.
3.8
The staff was friendly. The room carpet was dirty & stains was in living room & bedroom.
The sofa was ripped.
The breakfast & cocktail hour was excellent.
The cleanliness of the room

Close to my destination
I didn’t like that we had to pay extra for Parking and internet since we reserved on a third party. I wish places would state their fees upfront

Horrible experience
Everything people were rude

The counters, tables and sheet were clean. The location was somewhat convenient.
This was one of the worst stays I have ever experienced! There was mold in the tub, huge stains on the floor, furniture was grossly dirty, and the bed was beyond uncomfortable. Match all that with bass noise until after midnight and then people partying on the deck just below my window until just after 2 am, this was a miserable stay. I looked out to see what some screaming was about and there was a man urinating on the walkway. We actually packed up at just before 6 and came home because I had gotten very little sleep and was exhausted. I then find out that the amount I was quoted was not the right amount because this hotel charges $10.60 for parking and parking taxes and this is no where in the booking.com information or charges. you find out when it is too late to cancel and you are on the property. Now mind you we had to park in a far parking lot near the other side of the conference center because there was no available parking near the hotel. Ridiculous that I could have had a room for a cheaper price in a brand new hotel just a few block away but wanted a river view that I couldn't enjoy because the windows were overrun with spiders and webs. DO NOT pay these prices to stay in filth.

The location is beautiful on the River. The view is amazing in the morning.
I had a room that I was not satisfied with and Chris was nice enough to handle the problem and upgrade us and offer a new resolution to help resolve the problem. We were very tired and appreciated his help.

Great location! close to Bradley University!
other then the great breakfast buffet; There is no food options on the premises.

Cleanliness, breakfast and location
Unable to use tickets for drinks due to being short staffed fir bar. Also, pool was out of commission.

Location
Couldn't give me the room I reserved 3 months in advance. Then gave me keys to someone else's room. We finally got a room after talking to a rude desk supervisor named Magness. Overall not great service we decided to leave and stay somewhere else

Found a bed bug in the room. We were then moved to a different room.

We really liked the room. It was super spacious. Had 2 tvs, a whole sink, microwave, fridge, and a pull out couch. The facilities downstairs were beautiful. They gave us a couple drink tickets for the bar (I recommend getting the beer or wine as it's the best value).
The restaurants burger and house salad with chicken were really good. It was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. They also had little snacks out for everyone that included a nut mix, celery, carrots, chips, cheeseits.
The included breakfast was decent. I don't think they needed to seperate the bacon and sausage from everything else to where you had wait in line to get it.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
The pool was really awful. It was freezing inside of the pool room and the water was freezing. The level of chlorine was so high and the water was salty as heck. I have never swam in a pool where it was so salty. It definitely needed filtered better or something. The hot tub was also down which was not indicated when booking.
Do not get the nachos at the restaurant downstairs. It is literally just chips, cheese, and a ton of beans. The chips themselves are delicious but they need to add lettuce and meat to make it better.
You have to pay for parking and it isn't covered or anything. Luckily we got a close spot but still don't think it's worth paying for.
Construction upstairs was also going on in the morning.
3.8
it was decent - really pricey because state gymnastic tourney in town
didn’t have up to date phone charger plug ins so required 3 prong adapter and air purifier in room didn’t work
3.8
The room was clean for the most part.
It was very loud with children running and yelling on the floors. Carpet in our room was stained and looked gross. Paying 10.00 to park in a Hotel lot you are staying at is weird.
3.8
I didn't have any complaints. Everything was on point. The breakfast was delicious...even if you aren't a morning person the breakfast is worth it. I definitely recommend and will stay again myself.
