The area is really nice. The Guest Service team is great. Also the Sub-Chef is really nice.
The 2 King Size beds were a great feature as it was very comfortable to sleep, compared to 2 Queen beds.
This hotel does not stand up to the price we paid. And don't get me wrong, I'm not shy paying for a great stay, absolutely the contrary. We paid upfront $600+ USD per night for 2 adults and 2 kids (age 7 and 9 years old), expecting a great place to stay and enjoy the view. As it was 4th of July, I even reserved a dinner table at the restaurant 2 weeks ahead.
At arrival, they let you know that parking does cost $34 USD per night. One of the most expensive parkings I have encountered in all my trips. Anyway, for a great vacation, who cares for a few bucks more, right?!? ...
We got to the room and found an individual air cooler with a tube connected to the window. I never saw something like this in my life. Not really something I wish to see in a $600 USD per night room. Attached some pictures.
We all took a shower after and noticed that the shower door does not close completely. First you can't pull that little knob with wet hands and second, something looked broken (attached picture).
On the way down to the restaurant we noticed some doors in really bad condition (attached picture). By now, I was wondering if this really is such a high end hotel as I expected.
At the restaurant, they could not find my reservation, even after showing them their own confirmation number. Luckily they had a table available after all. Now, let me tell you that this was one of the most overpriced restaurants I have been to since a long time. Again, I don't mind paying for a good meal, and I had my share of $100+ USD steaks, but a 4 ounce (120 gram) kids pasta, where the pasta was over cooked and the Marinara sauce tasted as it came from a can, for 18 USD is a robbery at plain sight. The service was horrible; as example we got our starters, but nobody noticed that none of us had been given silverware.

Views from room and restaurant were beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and valet were very efficient.
The mattress was uncomfortable, very few outlets to plug in chargers in the room, no ice makers on the floors, and room service breakfast was not very good.

Staff not on top game to be a spa

The spa and Altezza restaurant were nice—but do like most other around there who have been there before, go to them without staying here.
The staff is so bad—Evelyn Ortiz is supposedly the manager—will evade and ignore you—not sure if she even ever works—but she will tell you how busy she is.

The location is excellent. Tru ski in and out. Great gym and pools. Room spacious.
Be carefully when booking this hotel on room location. There are about 4 rooms that surround the 5 story atrium- we were in one of those rooms. The atrium is like an echo chamber and makes for very loud noise into the rooms. At times made it impossible to sleep. When mentioned to the staff- initially got an unbelievably rude. This was addressed with their supervisor.

No microwave in the room so I couldn't even warm up oatmeal for my son and had to wait for the restaurant to open

Location and view is of a postcard scene. Very good employees all around including front desk, valet, restaurant and even housekeeping. Excellent room (i booked the cheapest one, yet it had a perfect layout including a kitchenette and a balcony). Needed nothing else to make it better.

We had a King Suite with the most exquisite view. Absolutely gorgeous. Room was great, staff inside the hotel are super friendly, and we really enjoyed the restaurant.
A certain team member of the Valet service should be fired. Our last day at the resort we called the front desk for a bellhop to help with our luggage. A gentleman showed up and helped me load everything onto a luggage cart. I explained to him that we would be skiing all day and our luggage needed to be checked into the valet station. He asked for my name and room number to which I gave him. I've stayed at the Peaks Resort many times and never had a problem with this. In fact, last year I was shocked when I went to get my vehicle and luggage and discovered the Valet had already loaded my luggage into my truck. Not so lucky this time. After a hard day on the slopes we headed to Valet and requested our luggage and vehicle to which they had no clue where all of our bags were. Gave them my name and room number repeatedly to no avail. Finally, the gentleman said he would go get his supervisor. While I waited, I looked around and low and behold noticed all of our luggage in a pile near the road. Just sitting there for anyone to take. I asked the Valet people that were still there if they had any clue why the bags were there to which none of them did. My truck pulled up and I loaded every single one of my bags myself without receiving any help. I have always tipped well and been extremely satisfied with the service but this time was one for the record books. I am certain that my wife and I will return to Telluride many more times however we will be finding a new place to stay.

no air conditioning. very hot. not worth the $600/night.

Nice facility, great staff, smooth check-in/out, rooftop restaurant
No A/C, which was manageable but strange for a luxury hotel. Not a surprise since we knew about it ahead of time
No ATM?! I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't have an ATM. You have staff that rely on cash tips, yet make access to cash impossible.
