What a shame. I have stayed at better 3.5 star hotels.
The area is really nice. The Guest Service team is great. Also the Sub-Chef is really nice. The 2 King Size beds were a great feature as it was very comfortable to sleep, compared to 2 Queen beds.
This hotel does not stand up to the price we paid. And don't get me wrong, I'm not shy paying for a great stay, absolutely the contrary. We paid upfront $600+ USD per night for 2 adults and 2 kids (age 7 and 9 years old), expecting a great place to stay and enjoy the view. As it was 4th of July, I even reserved a dinner table at the restaurant 2 weeks ahead. At arrival, they let you know that parking does cost $34 USD per night. One of the most expensive parkings I have encountered in all my trips. Anyway, for a great vacation, who cares for a few bucks more, right?!? ... We got to the room and found an individual air cooler with a tube connected to the window. I never saw something like this in my life. Not really something I wish to see in a $600 USD per night room. Attached some pictures. We all took a shower after and noticed that the shower door does not close completely. First you can't pull that little knob with wet hands and second, something looked broken (attached picture). On the way down to the restaurant we noticed some doors in really bad condition (attached picture). By now, I was wondering if this really is such a high end hotel as I expected. At the restaurant, they could not find my reservation, even after showing them their own confirmation number. Luckily they had a table available after all. Now, let me tell you that this was one of the most overpriced restaurants I have been to since a long time. Again, I don't mind paying for a good meal, and I had my share of $100+ USD steaks, but a 4 ounce (120 gram) kids pasta, where the pasta was over cooked and the Marinara sauce tasted as it came from a can, for 18 USD is a robbery at plain sight. The service was horrible; as example we got our starters, but nobody noticed that none of us had been given silverware.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however, the rooms are a bit dated for the price.
Views from room and restaurant were beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and valet were very efficient.
The mattress was uncomfortable, very few outlets to plug in chargers in the room, no ice makers on the floors, and room service breakfast was not very good.

Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else
The spa and Altezza restaurant were nice—but do like most other around there who have been there before, go to them without staying here.
The staff is so bad—Evelyn Ortiz is supposedly the manager—will evade and ignore you—not sure if she even ever works—but she will tell you how busy she is.
