Very spacious rooms, we liked having a kitchen area in addition to the sleeping room. Great affordable hotel in the area. Very clean, staff welcoming, met all of our expectations or exceeded them. It’s a smaller hotel building but we didn’t mind, we came for a friend’s wedding and had a great time. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was good, also appreciated the ice machine.
- Shower pressure was weak, also nozzle to adjust the water temp was hard to maneuver
- says blackout curtains in the room but they did not block the light, sunshine very bright in our room in the morning
- Wifi signal in our room was weak

God beliggenhed i Brooklyn. Godt stort værelse med masser af plads til en familie på 5. Venligt og imødekommende personale
Meget kold blæst i morgemadslokalet

Comfortable bed, good AC, good location to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
Construction at front door made it confusing to find hotel. Limited breakfast menu although bagels were good.
5.0
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area, but the problem is that there are no shops or restaurants close to the hotel. Nowhere is open on Saturdays, and the hotel does not serve breakfast.
The AC is old and loud, so if you're noise-sensitive, it's hard to sleep.

Breakfast excellent, much better than expected
Hard to find fault

Good location for us, shortish walk to subway. Great bagel place across the street.
We had to ask the front desk 3 times to bring bedding for the pull out bed.

I love the atmosphere and the quiet. There's not much congestion or busy area. It's very quiet and I love the cleanliness.

Clean and big rooms with full fridge and a little kitchen
We checked-in at 10pm with a baby for just one night and were told the parking was full, first come first serve basis and "the parking" has a capacity of like 4 cars.....
We requested a late checkout at 1pm if possible and they moved it to noon and told us to check again in the AM to see if 1pm is possible. I called and they refused. I had to come back in a rush and the receptionist then said she checked with her manager and the request was approved but I was already back so not useful at all.

Great location; friendly staff; loaned us travel adapters which was a great help; breakfast included which was a nice touch; large bed; ac in the room so kept comfortable. Everywhere walkable from hotel e.g. supermarket, subway, bus stops, eateries- location great
Shower temperature variable at times and water pressure could be better but would not put me off booking here again.

Convenient location and safe area
Small and very expensive

Good location
Quite old and dated, minimal maintenance to keep it running, with zero updates since 1970s. Clean, but very very basic. Like a motel 6 from 1975

All good

This property was really really really nice. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were friendly it was very clean.
Unfortunately, this property is not near any food options. You have to drive way out to get anything that’s the only downfall to this property.

The room was quiet and spacious. The breakfast was great and plenty to choose from. The staff were very helpful. The location was ok for accessing the subway just a 12 to 14 min walk
The property has Wi-Fi free but if using cellular there is only one bar. When walking anywhere ALWAYS take the Flushing Ave road NOT Wallabout there is rubbish everywhere on Wallabout. No breakfast on Saturday

I was very pleasantly surprised by this charming hotel in the heart of Williamsburg. Staff was helpful, rooms were very clean and surprisingly well stocked in terms of amenities. It doesn't try to be or offer too much, and that's just what I loved about it: a very decent place to spend a couple of nights, at a very decent price, in a very decent neighbourhood.
While our stay was very positive and we'd stay again, the noise from the streets was almost unbearable. I don't think the windows were double glazed and we could hear the intense honking wars well into the late night, which made it pretty difficult to fall asleep.
Our bed also had a piece of its metal frame sticking out the side (it wasn't broken, it just looked like someone forgot to push it back in), which was pretty painful the two times I stepped on it getting off the bed in the morning. Hopefully it's not a common occurrence.

The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The room was very big and spacious.
The hotel location is a little far away from The City.
6.0
Very clean spaces, including the bathroom. Really friendly personnel. The location is in a quiet area, but still well connected to Manhattan.
The wifi is not working at all. The breakfast is minimal. The room needs some improvements such as hangers on the walls, and more modern furniture, including silent heaters.

Friendly staff, able to check in early, big bed
Shower was either hot or scalding hot

The stay the Pointe Plaza hotel was definitely unforgettable. Unfortunately, not in a good way. I must admit, it was the biggest dissapointment regarding accomodation and sadly the worst hotel I have ever been to. Nevertheless, despite the fact that the hotel did not offer services that it had pretended to on its websites, not all elements were wrong.
To start, if you are looking for a cheap hotel in NYC and wondering about booking Hotel Pointe Plaza, you should be informed about a few things.
Firstly, the hotel is situated in a jewish quarter. Because there were almost only orthodox Jews in the streets, there could not be found any grocery stores, restaurants or any other shops for public in the quarter.
Secondly, on the Booking websites it was written that surroundings of the hotel are calm and quiet. From my experience it was not true at all, streets aound the hotel were actually very busy and it could be heard constant car honking throughout the night.
On the other side, this hotel was one of the cheapest in NY with a fairly good driving range from the city centre. I paid about 2000 dollars per week for a family apartment. Which is, to be fair, two or three times lower price than in any other regular NY hotel. However, despite the low price the Pointe Plaza did not meet the expected services.
As for the hotel room, it was furnished poorly and the equipment did not match the website information. There were no dishes in the kitchen, wardrobe had broken doors and curtains were not working as well. The biggest problem to me was the room temperature. The windows were not sealed well, so the cold air penetrated through them from the outside. Overall, I did not feel that the aparment was clean, furnishings were rather old and used.
The biggest dissapointment for me was the breakfast. In a word, it was awful. It was served from 7:30 to 9am, which is quite early. The only food that was prepared for breakfast were bagels. -- to be continued
-- With a spread they were quite good, but eating the same bagels every single morning was a horrible experience. The rest of the breakfast menu consisted of a bad coffee, orange juice and some cornflakes. There was also no water to drink. The lady who served guests at breakfast was really unpleasant and did not speak english very well. She behaved in such a way that it looked like the guests were bothering her and she was also constantly closing the breakfast buffet before 9am. To add to this, there were less seats than an amount of the hotel guests. Regularly there was no place to sit.
On contrary, a hotel service worked well and fast and except the lady at breakfast were all the staff nice.
In conclusion, although the Pointe Plaza belonged to the most affordable, I would not stay there again. Despite the low price, it did not meet essential and usual hotel standards.

Nice people at the reception, better breakfast than expected
no cleaning of the room during our stay.
