I love this location for my again parents. I just want to make their stay comfortable and convenient.

We love how close it is to the beach Pismo area

There is only one microwave for the whole 1st and second floor. It is small. Also the refrigerator is so small hardly anything fits. I’ve stay at other affordable hotels and they have large refrigerators with freezer and microwave in each room! It just doesn’t make sense to put so much for the location but have very little in rooms.

The location was perfect very walking distance to everything in Pismo!

The carpet was bit old and when booking they didn’t say I was booking a bottom floor room away from the main building of the hotel and that parking wasn’t included in my stay. It was $25 a day.

Not worth the high cost and wouldn’t recommend

The location was right by the pier and restaurants

The price for a simple room is very expensive and I was disappointed to see we were not in the main building but the annex which is much less to be desired. The room was rather dirty with stains and a large amount of dead bugs in the tub. Very disappointing as I used to love to stay at the sandcastle and looked forward to experiencing the refurbishment

You can not beat the location of this property. it is beautiful and the outside area is very nice.

The older man at the front desk was rude and he didn’t need to be. We stayed at the second building, not the main building. which I think should have been made aware prior to booking. While the room was fine it wasn’t very clean. the bathroom was kinda gross, there was spider webs in the main room on the ceiling. It makes it hard to go get food from the main hotel when you have to walk across a parking lot and in our cause it was raining. and with young kids it’s out of the question. when your spending almost $300 night I expect way better.

Room above us had lots of little kids so tons of noise into our room all hours of the day and night. People with little kids should be on 1st floor. Also no continental breakfast.

bathroom was small and you could see repair work has been done on many areas in bathroom and not repaired well. you could see the damage that paint just can’t cover up

The best 3 night stay at the Sandcastle Hotel !!!

The Front Desk staff Richard , Janice, & Valerie really care about their guests !!! Richard had suggested a $ 16.00 upgrade to a beautiful room # 305 and my wife and I were very pleased. And Carlin { Restaurant Manager} was very helpful. This morning I met James Davison { General Manager} and we had a great conversation about our wonderful stay at the Sandcastle Hotel..Will be staying at this hotel next year in 2024 !!! Mike & Debra Virgin- La Habra , Ca.The best 3 night stay

The fact of you being on the separate building makes you feel inferior. Had to walk to the main building in the rain to the second floor. Just to get ice.

Sandcastle was nice and good enough but I would probably choose a different place next visit.

The location is perfect and in walking distance of the pier and food. There is a beautiful outdoor area with fire pits and ocean views to relax by. Staff was friendly.

Complimentary coffee would have been nice but you have to pay for all drinks and food. No free breakfast here. Our room had areas that were dated and not 100% clean. On the 2nd day we also had loud neighbors.

Love that it's on the beach close to all the shops.Love the sitting area where you can eat and drink by a cozy fire and look out to the beach or sun sets.

All in all a nice bang for the Buck. I shall return!

The patio setup is exceptional with fire pits and very nice kitchen mostly snack menu.

Perhaps you can upgrade the beds which were hard and a bit lumpy.

It was a recharge vacation up the coast. We never used the car after we parked it on arrival. The staff was fun, helpful

Everything was wonderful! it’s was quite, close to town and walkable to everything

I really couldn’t find anything I didn’t like, but there was no ice machine on the first floor, but that wasn’t really bad as the view from the second floor was spectacular.
