Disappointing Final Stay

Hotel sits in a quiet spot next to the golf course and across the street from a walking beach access. Most of town is in walking distance.

I was supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds. Somehow my reservations was showing just 1. Holiday meant no other rooms were available. Asked for a roll away and the guy at the counter didn't want to lug it up 3 flights of stairs. Elevator was out of order. Finally brought one up. Went back down to ask for extra pillows for the rollaway and he didn't have any ready. No problem, we are heading to the beach and I'll come back by to grab them. Came back and waited about 10 minutes for him to come to the desk. He had forgotten about the pillows so i waited about another 10 for him to find some. Kind of weird, but ok...Clothes from a previous guest were left in the dresser so the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Moldy shower. The toilet had to be plunged EVERY TIME someone used it. We have stayed here almost every year for about 10 years. It has drastically declined every year. We finally decided we won't be back to that hotel.

This motel was a disappointment but it seemed clean despite the mildew smell and old stained furniture and carpets.

It was easy to locate and I like that it was a suite with 2 rooms and a kitchenette. There were deer on the property that were quite domesticated.

Well, it was just incredibly run down. It was difficult to tell if the place was clean because the carpets, chairs and couches were so old and worn and generally dirty due to decades of use. It doesn’t look like the photos or advertisements. It also smelled of mildew.

Old, run down, party pad, not a family place.

Rooms were big. Staff was friendly.

Run down, seems like a place for down on there luck people to rent weekly or monthly. Didn't feel safe. Unfriendly looking dogs and owners. Holes in ceilings and walls. Heard people coughing and throwing up nearby. Yuck

I will be going there again. best value I’ve found in ocean shores

centrally located. friendly staff. large suites. it was really nice. the place was clean. the pool was nice and warm. and the prices are a great deal!

Superb

Not a bad value. Good central location in town. Comfortable bed and shower pressure was good.

The heating system took a bit to figure out. Parking is somewhat limited.

I would stay there again.

I rented a three bedroom suite. Lots of room was nice. It was on all three floors.

The place could use some tlc. You could tell they are working on getting the place in better shape.

Great location across from the beach. Quiet building. Must be the cheapest motel in the area in the middle of December. Rooms pretty run down but clean and bed was comfortable.

very close to the beach, conveniently located for food. Nice little studio.

The refrigerator was too small, held very little. The window above the sink in the kitchen area was not covered made you feel very uncomfortable somebody could look in and see you not to mention the light constantly shining on the bed.

We lost sleep due to loud kids, many dogs, and intrusive smokers.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, generous space.

Poor sleep due to loud kids running and thumping late at night. People smoking right outside their doors caused smoke to waft in and disturb our sleep. Loud dog s barking and owners going in and out awoke us. Funky smells in bathroom and musty ground floor bedroom.

Nice room - prepare to have a discussion with your neighbor's through the walls.

Great location, clean and bright and a terrific staff

Insulation or sound dampening between the rooms would be fantastic. Got to hear the neighbor's conversations and other activities until 3 AM

It is an older facility but the staff were very friendly and the location is very good.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We coukd bring our pet.

The facility was clean enough but it is run down. For a beach motel it was fine for us there are some areas that need some repair.

We did not stay. We turned in the keys and left immediately.

We left the property 30 minutes after checking in. There were smears on the walls, there were clumps of hair all around the bathroom and a portion of the couch was destroyed and sunken in. The door jam appeared to have been kicked in because the sheetrock was ripped out where the deadbolt would have dug into the wall and it smelled like drug residue.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is not too bad. Pool was nice.

Hot water in the bathroom ran out very quickly. Bed slanted down toward your head.

Boys loved the pool.

Pool. Two grandsons loved it. Room size was huge.

The plastic shades were broken so really felt less then private. The towel rack fell off the wall.

You get what you pay for.

First and foremost the staff (specifically Lin) were very professional and friendly, linens (bed and bath) were clean, rock “fireplace” was nice feature to look at (although we couldnt figure out how to produce heat) balcony was nice to sit out on, full kitchen allowed us to eat-in to save some money, affordable lodging itself, near beach, some privacy with separate bedroom.

Hotel is dated, rooms dated, not ocean front, housekeeping looks like they are only doing fluffing between guests. microwave was filthy, smudges on doors, crusty old stuff in corners and at wall and floor junctures, green algae type moss/mildew on balcony. lots of little things staff could spend a LItTLE more time on each day to make improvements without breaking the bank
