the location was great and it was very clean.
The fact that there were young kids above us that woke up between 6:30 - 7 every morning to run around. The shower was not satisfactory for my mom who is 5 ft. it was too small, the shower head hit too high on the wall for her. the driveways were really narrow.

love the location! we were visiting land of Oz and wanted something close at a reasonable price. this was perfect

The room was fabulous. Very spacious and everything was cozy and super comfortable. I was very happy to see a washer and dryer as well. Great location and close to all kinds of fun things to do
The only problem we had was that the power went out twice during our 4 day stay. I believe someone hit a transformer near the road. Not the resorts fault and they were very quick in getting the power back on. I loved the place so much so that’s the only thing I could find wrong.

Staff was fabulous!
Stayed in Unit 9 F. UNIT WAS TERRIBLE! BED WAS SAGGY, COULD NOT SIT ON COUCH, WATER COMING FROM THE CEILING THROUGH THE LIGHT FIXTURES!!! DANGEROUS!!!

We had a great time playing mini golf & just chilling in our room...it was very spacious, like a small apartment. Convenient to some really yummy eateries & attractions aren't far away. We enjoyed Mystery Hill, Tweetsie Railroad and the Alpaca farm. We spent quite a bit of our time using the amenities at the resort such as Tennis, mini golf, corn hole & Arts/crafts.
Only thing missing that would've made it better is the indoor pool. It is no longer there due to needed repairs. They will have a new indoor heated pool though, hopefully soon!

It was very run down since the last time we stayed there. It very much needs updating. Rugs were dirty dirty dirty. They were starting to address this problem so we’ll try again when they complete the improvements because it was a lovely place about 8 years ago.

It was quiet for the most part. Room was spacious and clean. Plenty of supplies. The resort is situated in an area we like. Far enough out of Boone to be quiet but close enough that we didn't have to drive a hour to get to a restaurant.
Had 2 sets of staff come a day before check out and ask if we were leaving a day early. No dvd player for tv in living room. Also looks like I'm getting charged more than site told me. Have stayed here 5 times in last 8 years and this was the WORST time we've ever had there.

The unit we stayed in was one of the most dated and worn unit we have stayed in. I am a Choice Rewards member and have owned points through Festiva before it became an Ascend resort. The view was ok but had to climb two flights of stairs.
The unit was dated. Carpet dirty with huge spots. Dishes left in dishwasher were dirty. Furniture was also dated and not comfortable. We normally stay in a two bedroom unit that is on two floors. The kitchen only had a dining room table and no bar with stools.

This is all the information I have to provide. Thank you.
Same as above.

The staff was welcoming and super friendly. We enjoyed tie dying with the kids, miniature golf, and s'mores by the fire pit. It was really a wonderful weekend with family!
Nothing I didn't like. I may prefer a condo on one level with small children (going up and down the stairs).

All the amenities. Put put, pond, hammocks.
Pool and spa were closed indefinitely, room needs minor maintenance such as bedroom door needing to be rehung

Nice quiet comfortable condos. There are continuing improvements. New wifi system works great
The pool is out of commission and the building it's in is under re construction

So this booking was pretty cool from the online perspective… and then there is coming here..
Online doesn’t state that all of the expected amenities are under construction in some way… the pool is closed, hot tub is closed.. mini golf being redid.. kinda all a huge bummer for our children..
They do have a great little trout pond that is well stocked and we enjoyed the ability to fish.
When we arrived at our rental it all looks a little blah from the outside. Everything is one color and just what it is. Inside a lot better, all though very dated and a few places that had obvious animal stains on carpets and holes that had been roughly patched through out the home. Bed was a rock, and very uncomfortable… loose tiles around the upstairs shower, that appeared to come from the leak of the shower head.. upon arrival there was a huge puddle in the exact area of loose tile..
None of our TVs worked!!!! Seriously, not a single one!
The spa tub in the larger upstairs bathroom was nice.. and the rest of the home was clean and we were pretty happy with that.
Major thing that was the most upsetting was the payment issue. We reserved this home from online with Booking.com. Entered in a card to reserve the home, approved and given a confirmation number. 2 days prior to leaving for this vacation we were sent an email that said our payment was declined randomly and we needed to enter a new card in within the next 6 hours or we could loose the reservation. Worried we quickly did so …
Then I check my card account and it showed both amount of funds per day has been removed. From the original card… so why the issue with the second..? Your guess is as good as mine.. called the rental and they said booking handles that not them… she didn’t know why there was an issue but booking.com has booked us two separate stays here.. and ran our payment for them separately instead of the rental that we had under one payment.😅 And still no one knows why this was done.
