Nothing.
The room was out dated, bed was not made all the way, carpet was coming up near the bathroom door, pillows were absolutely horrible. The buffet in the morning was not good.

An OK but a "hot breakfast" was offered : scrambled egg with cheese , waffle maker (with batter) & coffee. Several different cold yogurts and juices were available. The day desk staff was attentive to the food line as well as their check out desk duties. The check in staff was welcoming , helpful, & friendly. The room looked like it was attended to, no lingering/ covered up odors.
a better weekend hot breakfast offering would have been to include a meat offering (sausage (links or patties) or biscuits & gravy. Similar facilities offer this on weekends. The "safety mat " on the floor in the food area was worn, & torn in places, SHOULD BE replaced. In our room I was looking for an outlet: found one behind a bedside table BUT there was a layer of thick dust on top and on the wall baseboard, (that I wiped off the outlet). From what I observed, the rest of the room looked well attended to.

Close to the venue
The room had a really bad smell. There was a cake of soap in the shower someone had left. I dont it had been cleaned. Also when we checked in they required a 100 dollar deposit. That was never mentioned in the booking. The guy at the desk said he also was the housekeeper.

The staff was rude.
I wasn't able to check in on my first scheduled night. I came in the following day to do so and the front desk assistant, I believe named Samir. Did not allow me to do so. He said if you missed your first day check in, your reservation is canceled and couldn't check in. In a rude manner. My boyfriend came in and he found me askijg ti be checked in and Samir in a "nicer tone" (still rude) told him the same thing. My boyfriend asked what would be the cost to check-in now. He said $113, but why would you want to pay for another reservation if you say you have one? Okay, so do we or don't we have a reservation?
He wouldn't even check if we had a reservation. He never asked me my name, even though I asked him to check my reservation. He kept saying his manager is who we should talk to and he would be in at 7am.
I paid to stay there for two nights. Yes I missed my first night but one more night was left and I wasn't allowed to check-in, even though it was paid for and then I wasn't allowed to pay for another night as he refused to make a new check-in even if we were willing to pay.

What is most important for an overnight stay? Comfort, cleanliness, safety, location (airport for me). They got it all.
Breakfast, maybe some yoghart or fruit?
